Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

About.*

xoxogossipmum · 22/06/2023 08:38

@Danni33 I have quite a high sex drive anyway but I've definitely found I'm more tired at night so we will usually make time during the day or in the morning when we wake up

Rachae · 22/06/2023 07:42

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 ahh sorry! Yes I've been wondering for a while if this pregnancy will work out, as I'm measuring a week behind. The consultant said that the scan next week will confirm either that I ovulated late, or that it's slow to progress. (These usually end in MC before first trimester)
This obvs isn't applicable to everyone who measures behind and some catch up.. just with my history of reoccurrent MC's (5), I always prepare for the worst. Where I've mc'd before... my tiredness went away. This is personal and unique to me tho, and for everyone else symptoms do definitely fluctuate

I remember you have had recurrent miscarriage, I was hoping that wasn't what you meant. The stress of it I'm so sorry. Hopefully it's still good news Rachae

@GeriatricMumma it's grim isn't it, commuting while pregnant. Last time I lived central so could walk instead of tube, and it wasn't so bad if I had that as an out

Danni33 · 22/06/2023 08:45

Thank you for your reply!
I think I’m also scared I will bleed, I need to stop worrying so much.

xoxogossipmum · 22/06/2023 08:48

@Danni33 yeah I was a bit concerned with certain positions too but so far I've been lucky and not had any bleeding. I do understand the anxiety though

GeriatricMumma · 22/06/2023 08:52

@Danni33 I am still very interested but not having full intercourse as im worried. don't know why, I was always fine before when pregnant.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 my first and middle I lived in london, third I had to commute. At least it's not quite as busy as pre-covid!

Rachae · 22/06/2023 08:53

Thanks @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 xx I'm also aware that this could just be a bit of anxiety and basically a random crap night's sleep! Not long to go to find out
I'm still absolutely up in arms about having 2 under 2 anyways, so leaving it down to fate!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/06/2023 09:00

@Rachae my fingers are very crossed that it is just anxiety, but I'm imagining everything is extremely tough after multiple losses. It's not long now, have as much self care as you can (within the limitations of having a baby) xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/06/2023 09:03

@GeriatricMumma yeah there is that I guess. Will just be armed with sick bags, mints and ice water and hope that does the trick enough

@Danni33 I have no sex drive right now. Last time I had some spotting so was told to go on pelvic rest. I had some tiny spotting when my period was due, so probably going to do it again for the first trimester. Trimester 2 I found fine for sex, trimester 3 with the kicking put us both off 🤣

Nemo145 · 22/06/2023 09:48

Hi ladies,
im around 6.5 and had a scan on Monday which looked ok, going again next week as I’ve had 5 miscarriages. 2 in the last 9 months. I’m on progesterone and a number of other things to try make this one stick.
I keep having horrendous back pain, particularly at night, it’s like there is heat radiating from my back. It’s not as bad in the day time when I’m moving around. Has anyone else had this?

Danni33 · 22/06/2023 11:01

Thank you everyone! Puts my mind at ease haha!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/06/2023 11:33

@Nemo145 congrats and welcome, so sorry to hear about five miscarriages. What a tough journey

Rachae · 22/06/2023 11:57

Hey @Nemo145 , I'm a reoccurrent miscarriage sufferer too... Just to offer my sympathies and I really hope this one is the one for you. You probably have the list down, but low dose aspirin is proven to support alongside progestone, so I take that too. I had my son after 5 MCs and so there is hope! Xx

Nemo145 · 22/06/2023 12:16

@Rachae lovely to hear of your success. I’m on low dose aspirin too.
I do have an 8 year old but since then losses, for various reasons.
my symptoms are awful this time which I’m hoping is positive. This heat radiating from my back at night though is awful and I can’t find any info on it other than “back pain” in early pregnancy. But it’s more than that it gets so hot and by morning it’s back to normal temperature. I’ve not had it in any previous pregnancy’s either.

AbsolutePlonker · 22/06/2023 12:20

Hey guys, I'm 6+3 and I have my booking appointment next Tues so I'll only just be 7 weeks.
I can't remember whether they check for heartbeat at this first appt but is it going to be a little early?!
I just have had so many friends experience baby loss recently I can't help but think the worst. I keep thinking I'm going to get to 12 weeks and be told I'm imagining it all or something.

DHB · 22/06/2023 13:01

Hello ladies,

I should be 6w2d today, but over the weekend, my sore nipples disappeared and then Monday afternoon I started with light brown spotting which eventually turned a pale red in the evening. Tuesday and Wednesday, it was like I was mid period (with little bits of tissue you’d see during a period) and I had about an hour of period type pain yesterday afternoon, very mild and bearable though. The bleeding has now stopped and I’m just spotting brown like the end of a period.

I called EPU who have booked me in for a scan on Tuesday as they can’t do it any earlier due to being too early to see anything.

Should I just be preparing for the worst? I think I’m just clinging onto any hope I can :(

xTinkerbell · 22/06/2023 13:35

Ive felt like crap the last 2 days.

Incredibly nauseous, incredibly exhausted. Didn’t have any nausea with my last pregnancies and honestly don’t know how I’m going to manage this for the next however many weeks it’s awful. I’ve barely had a break from feeling sick

Was it bright red blood?

So sorry this is happening, perhaps you can get your HCG levels checked?

They should still be able to scan at this stage too so I'd go to EPU xx

mumtotwox · 22/06/2023 15:54

@AbsolutePlonker With my two previous pregnancies my midwife didn't check for the heartbeat until 16 weeks but I read recently that's changed again until later... I think you can ask at your 16 week appointment though!

mashm24 · 22/06/2023 18:37

@xTinkerbell I completely sympathise. I feel your pain.

For those who have awful nausea and work in a job where you're on your feet all day, how do you manage to survive? Because I am not surviving! 🤢

@DHB so sorry, what a stressful experience

@mashm24 actually does anyone just have any great nausea tips while commuting and working? Beyond being prepared and carrying bags, mints and water around

Hiya, I’m 6+1 today, but had a scan yesterday and I’m measuring 6+5. I had quite bad lower back pain from the day I got my bfp (it was the reason I tested) up until last week. It was always worse at night/ first thing in the morning.

DHB · 22/06/2023 19:51

@GeriatricMumma Yeah, it started light brown just spotting, then the last two days has been red/dark red just like a period would be :( Its stopped today, well overnight it stopped really.

I did call EPU again yesterday but they won’t bring it forward unfortunately! X

Hi @DHB that sounds a lot like my miscarriage in April. I posted about it at the time and a lot of people told me that they'd had similar and had successful pregnancies though. I was told they can't scan whilst you're still bleeding so might be best to wait. Fingers crossed for you x
