Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

@Rachae i did a harmony text last preg and def will again (assuming I get that far 🤞🏻). It’s so much more helpful than the nhs screening and really good for reassurance. Bonus you can find out the sex early too ☺️

@Soph2512 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 phew, more of us in the same boat!!! I've been struggling to find summer clothes that look good over the last few weeks. So frustrating. But I'm going to tell work early (I did last time too! Forced to by my sickness) so I'm not too worried about hiding it.

Same re the bloating. I'm seven and a half and I can see the sitting people looking at me when I'm standing on the tube assessing 'should I? ... is she fat or pregnant' and in my head I'm replying 'er, bit of both, mate'

Soph2512 · 18/06/2023 13:49

@Rachae er did a harmony test last pregnancy and I loved finding out the sex early! ☺️☺️ and it’s soo much better than the nhs one xx

Rachae · 18/06/2023 14:11

@Golaz @Soph2512 thanks! Do you have by any chance like an example of what it says? For example if high or low risk for Edwards say... How does it explain the level of risk? Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/06/2023 14:19

@Rachae you're right, the Harmony test doesn't give you absolutes. I had it done at a FM specialist private clinic and they explained that it's correct in identifying 99% of the trisonomies (slightly less effective for Pataus syndrome at between 95 and 99%).

However it is 1 in 10,000 for the lowest risk result. And that's the amount you'll get if it is a low risk for you.

It's a lot more accurate because it takes a sample of the free dna in your blood (so picking up the foetus dna) however it's still a screening. The foetal medicine unit at the NHS said it's extremely accurate, and didn't require any further tests after seeing my Harmony results. However there is that 1% that they don't identify - it's a minute number in absolute terms but if you'd be worrying over it it might be worth getting the more invasive testing also.

@Rachae this is what I received back. Along with other bits too

Due February 2024!
LalalaBubs · 18/06/2023 17:57

Hi ladies, I've been checking in with everyones updates and wishing the best for you all❤️
I had my early internal scan today (booked because I had some spotting about 2 weeks ago and wasnt sure what was going on)

But thankfully, baby's little heart was seen beating away. I had a fright because the sonographer could only see an empty sac via the external scan.

She also said she could see some bleeding, maybe 2mls or so I could maybe experience some more spotting. I havent experienced spotting with either of my last 2 pregnancies so I feel very anxious over it but trying to just focus on the positives of a beautiful healthy pregnancy happening in there!
My dates also seem to be correct and baby measuring 6w 2d which is exactly what I had been expecting 🙂

Due February 2024!
Soph2512 · 18/06/2023 18:45

@LalalaBubs congratulations ☺️ I’m glad everything was ok with your scan ☺️

mashm24 · 18/06/2023 18:49

@Rachae it was me who mentioned the Harmony. Having read up about it I think it seems totally worth it. I've also been offered my scan quite late! I'll be 13+6 when I have it, right on the cusp of when they can do their screening, so I'd rather have the certainty of paying for the Harmony and knowing the screening is done. I don't really know what I think about a potentially high-risk result yet, but I figured forewarned is forewarned.

@Soph2512 this is so helpful to see the results! Was there any option of not finding out the gender? We'd rather keep it a secret if we can.

@LalalaBubs congratulations! It's amazing when you see that little heart fluttering away isn't it?! I could watch it all day.

Soph2512 · 18/06/2023 19:11

@jamontoast2 yes they ask you when you fill out the paper work. We knew the sender at just before 12 weeks 🙈 and I loved that 😂😂

Soph2512 · 18/06/2023 19:12

I’m having a bit anxiety this evening about the pregnancy 🙈 I took another test and it wasn’t as dark as yesterdays and now I’m having a full flap. I’ve also felt less sick today than I did yesterday but my nipples are hurting soo badly when Im feeding my daughter. I also have a full ache I. My tummy 🙈 obviously im thinking about everything that can go wrong! 😭😭

LalalaBubs · 18/06/2023 20:10

@jamontoast2 i have literally watched the 10second clip we took about a thousand times already🥰 All the little milestones just make it feel taht much more real!

Rachae · 18/06/2023 20:17

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @jamontoast2 thanks so much for sharing and for the detail. Really my appreciate that and looks like a no brainer. I guess it will be brilliant to get that low risk... then daunting if I get high risk! I suppose that would inform the decision to get the amnio if high risk.

@Soph2512 thanks for sharing your pic! Aww sorry to hear on your test.. there's loads of factors tho. Did you take it exactly the same time? My afternoon ones are always lighter than morning due to urine concentration. Even then.. at this stage, it really is hard to tell with hcg levels and tests as they're not designed to be taken this late. Tho that said, if you took one in say 3 days and it was a lot lighter, that would give you an indication. (Maybe) I'm sure nothing to worry about!
I've still got zero symptoms apart from the steak crisps craving Xx

plopss · 18/06/2023 22:18

Hi everyone! I got my BFP today so just about making it into February as my flo app is estimating the 27th! 4 weeks tomorrow so very early... I hope everyone is doing ok! X

Danni33 · 18/06/2023 22:27

I feel exactly the same! I haven’t done another test yet, but I know I will end up doing so.
it’s my first and I am so so nervous and just thinking the worst 😥 I have even booked in for a early private 6 weeks scan

Danni33 · 18/06/2023 22:28

Ah congratulations!
have you had any symptoms at all? According to my Flo app I’m due on the 18th feb

Soph2512 · 19/06/2023 05:18

@Rachae honestly no problem at all ☺️ I do honestly highly recommend, I also managed to get it at the private hospital and not have to travel to london. The only problem we had was I had to go back for a repeat blood test as they couldn’t get blood the first time and ended up using a butterfly needle which effects the quality of the results.

I did take it around the same time but I’m sure it’s because I had more water yesterday to the day before 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Danni33 i completely understand this . ☹️ how many weeks are you?

Meeting · 19/06/2023 06:31

Good morning all, I hope it's alright to join. Had a strong BFP last night and again this morning but no idea how far along I could be as I had a MC 9 weeks ago and haven't had a period since then.

I have a lot of symptoms (sore breasts, strange pain in lower abdomen, nausea) which I thought were a sign that AF was coming so didn't think to test until DH said yesterday that these are all the same symptoms I had last time I became pregnant.

Very nervous at the minute and not allowing myself to because excited but hoping for the best x

xTinkerbell · 19/06/2023 07:51

Haven’t been on the last few days been struggling badly with anxiety so took a little step back.

My resting heart rate that rose all the way up to 80bpm is dropping everyday and it’s now 73 bpm so i’m quite stressed by that. Worried it’s a bad sign

Soph2512 · 19/06/2023 07:55

Apparently I was right to stress I got this test this morning so I’m guessing I was having a early miscarriage again ☹️

Due February 2024!
Danni33 · 19/06/2023 08:14

I’m 5 weeks 2 days.
I'm so sorry too about the test this morning 🥺

mashm24 · 19/06/2023 08:14

@Soph2512 ahh hun, I'm so sorry 😞 sending you a massive hug. X x
