Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

Aw how exciting :-)
Yes it's been pretty mild up until 7 weeks on Tuesday, and now I'm off pretty much all food and drink x

@mashm24 I'm 7 weeks on Tuesday and feeling exactly the same as you - have you tried anything to help with the sickness? Family members have recommended the seaband wrist straps and the seaband ginger tablets to help ease the nausea so I was just about to order some and hope they help. Currently trying to regroup some energy to do the food shop but I just want to sleep. Hope the sickness eases for you soon x

I think I'm the opposite, I'm only 5 weeks, but I had cramps and breast pain and back ache and now today nothing. Has anyone else had symptoms that disappear or fluctuate?

Danni33 · 17/06/2023 13:56

Hi. I have found out I’m pregnant with my first and I think currently maybe 5 weeks? I checked from the date of my last period and updated my flo app. Due feb 2023 but will get this confirmed hopefully soon. I am thinking of booking an early re assurance scan at 6 weeks.
I have been feeling so anxious and worried. I’ve had cramps, felt sick but not been sick. My sense of smell has made me hate certain smells now and I feel sick. waking up this morning too felt like I had done sit ups all through the night

Guineapigfosterer · 17/06/2023 13:58

Hi all sorry if this is TMI but its my first and i just want to check. Im between 7 & 8 weeks and ive had a bit of brown spotting today but no real pain. Just a bit of a pulling sensation. Is this normal?

Danni33 · 17/06/2023 14:03

Constipation too! I forgot to add this. Total nightmare

mashm24 · 17/06/2023 18:43

@xoxogossipmum I used them in my first pregnancy and ginger biscuits definitely did help. I've got cyczline from the GP and although they make me feel sooo tired they really do ease the sickness for a while so definitely recommend them. I went for lunch today and couldn't eat a thing, really hope it eases soon for us both :(

@Guineapigfosterer hey, I think brown spotting is relatively common and midwife's don't seem too concerned unless it turns into red bleeding with pain. Have you had anymore since? X

@mashm24 im so sorry your struggling with sickness and nausea! ❤️

Guineapigfosterer · 17/06/2023 18:57

@mashm24 thank you and no nothing much since. The slightest tinge but nothing alarming. Ill keep an eye on it and try not to worry.

mashm24 · 17/06/2023 19:22

@Soph2512 thanks lovely. Hope you're okay ❤️

@mashm24 thank you ❤️ had my first load of nausea this morning which wasn’t ideal. I’m hoping it will only last a hour or so a day and not be as bad as my last pregnancy 🤢

AbsolutePlonker · 17/06/2023 20:53

Is anyone on their second (or subsequent? pregnancy and already HUGE?! So I'm normally a size 10 and I dropped back down to my original size about 6mo pp. I calculate I'm 6 weeks but I've got an enormous bloated stomach. I look like I did at 5 months with my first!!! I'm not overeating so I can't understand it. I've also had major cramps and nausea.

mashm24 · 17/06/2023 21:01

@Soph2512 oh no!! Hope it doesn't last for long, maybe some food will help?

@AbsolutePlonker Omg yes same!! I look huge after like one bite of anything. 😂

@mashm24 so glad it's not just me!!!

My brain is going to all sorts of bad places at the moment, managing to convince myself everything is a bad sign 😞

mashm24 · 17/06/2023 21:13

@AbsolutePlonker I completely sympathise😔 it's such an anxious time, not to mention all the hormones as well. I'm exactly the same, constantly checking for blood, constantly googling, always thinking 'what if'. I can't wait for the stage where we can just feel them kicking all the time!

Oh my god this yes I’m r weeks and I’m sooo bloated, I’m assuming it’s just hormones and water weight 🙈 I’ve also gained 2lbs 😳😳

Danni33 · 17/06/2023 22:40

Has anyone noticed too there lips are so dry? Mine all of a sudden today have just become so sore.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/06/2023 06:19

@Guineapigfosterer I had a tiny bit of spotting at about the same time last time. Was so worried, I booked a private scan, and all was fine. Would say it's well worth a private scan if you want one, it really put my mind at rest, and was about £60.

@AbsolutePlonker yep here as well, I'm small framed with a really obvious stomach. If it gets any worse I have no idea how I'll hide, especially in work clothes. I know it's just bloating but it doesn't go down even in the morning

AbsolutePlonker · 18/06/2023 07:22

@Soph2512 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 phew, more of us in the same boat!!! I've been struggling to find summer clothes that look good over the last few weeks. So frustrating. But I'm going to tell work early (I did last time too! Forced to by my sickness) so I'm not too worried about hiding it.

Soph2512 · 18/06/2023 07:35

H@AbsolutePlonker i told work at 7 weeks last time but I’m going this time not too until 20 weeks 🙈🙈

does anyone have any healthy snack ideas. I’m trying this time to not to eat 6 sausage rolls a a day 😂😂

Axc123 · 18/06/2023 08:33

Hi everyone, according to Flo app I am due 13 February 2024. This is my 2nd pregnancy although my son is 10 now, so it’s been a while. I had no idea I was pregnant with him until I was 13+5 when I was 18, so all these symptoms are crazy to me!
I am 5+6 today and the exhaustion is like no other, I am so bloated, twinges and cramping a lot, my boobs are so so sore and did I mention exhaustion?! Oh and crazy dreams, also obsessed with egg at the minute, so could be an early craving?
Thinking of having an early scan but getting some bad reviews from having them as early as 6 weeks, so I may wait till at least 7-8weeks.

Golaz · 18/06/2023 08:55

Wait there are two Feb 24 threads , I’m confused 😆. Jumping on here too. I’m due Feb 22- baby no. 3 :). Just took a test yesterday. So vvvv early days but keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Being just four weeks didn’t stop me from having my first round of vomiting yesterday though 😩. I’m still breastfeeding DC2 though so I think that makes the ms worse…

Rachae · 18/06/2023 10:08

@AbsolutePlonker omg me too - I legit look 8 months preg and a size 10 too. Nightmare as I really need to keep it a secret until I have a few more scans/ screening tests done!

Can't remember who mentioned harmony? But thank you... I thought it wasn't a good idea until I found out my midwife appointment has still not been made and there's a 5 week wait. So I doubt I'll get that until 12 weeks.. then they book the 12 week scan.. which will be more like 16 weeks! Nightmare.

Anyone else getting screening? I am because I already have a son and really need to know if anything super serious. Probably won't test for downs syndrome as that won't affect our decision xx
