Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

Hi All! Would love to join your thread! Had a chemical in April which was so upsetting as have been ttc since late last year, but yesterday my stabbing tit (only one lol) made me test at I think 12dpo (personally missed the peak on testing on this cycle so assumed this wasn't my month) and yayayayayya so excited I could cry all day, going to wait this week to make sure all is ok but just feeling so relieved and happy! For some reason won't let me add a photo but had a digital 1-2 weeks and 3 other tests positive 🙊

Congratulations @hellobanana, what lovely news after a difficult time 🥰 keeping positive thoughts for you!

Rachae · 05/06/2023 17:23

@mashm24 yay!! Xx

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 05/06/2023 17:48

Thank you @Rachae do you know anywhere that sells them
in-store or do you have to order online?

Still feeling uneasy as had stronger lines in my last pregnancy, however, I have been extremely tired today - almost started crying in Sainsbury’s as the queue was taking ages 🙈🤷‍♀️ and then have felt a bit nauseous this afternoon and not fancying certain foods. So I’m taking all this as positive signs!

Glad to hear about your scan @mashm24 I think we will book a reassurance scan, so good to know it’s possible to hear a heartbeat that early.

I thought I’d be less anxious with second baby, but seem to be more anxious - anyone else experiencing this?

jamontoast2 · 05/06/2023 18:28

@Pastaf0rbreakfast if it helps, my lines weren't that strong, but my blood HCG tests from the IVF clinic were all good. I think some of us just make less concentrated pee. I'm not sure if you could get a private HCG blood test in your area for reassurance (you might need two as the key thing is them doubling), but otherwise, I agree that first response are good (or the boots knock off version).

I am also experiencing so much more anxiety with baby no. 2 - probably because I want it more?!? I have been trying for six months whereas our first was accidentally-on-purpose, fell pregnant right away.

I tested positive at the weekend, due date calculator says 8th Feb. It's quite a faint line tbh - I did two tests, the clearblue branded one was definitely stronger/darker a day later. The idea that I'm only 4 weeks and now have to wait another 8 before my scan is KILLING me!!! I'm already stressed out.

HappyFeet63 · 05/06/2023 20:37

Can I join?
Due date 14th Feb - 3rd baby.
BFP yesterday

I find these first few weeks until the scan nerve wracking, so hoping to have some company with it!

Siarabang · 05/06/2023 20:59

Could I also hop in? Due date 1st Feb.

Symptoms: bloating, fatigue, mild cramps, weeing like a tap and becoming emotional at things that don't directly concern me, like the passing of Tina Turner.

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 05/06/2023 21:09

Thank you @jamontoast2 that does help, I think I’ve struggled as lots of threads in here with faint lines don’t end well but the private hcg is good idea, I might do that if I don’t see better line progression. I’ve booked a scan for 8 weeks so 1 month to wait, hopefully I can manage that!

Glad to know I’m not alone @AbsolutePlonker but sorry to hear you are feeling anxious too. I think it’s a mixture of things, but definitely really wanting it and having a previous pregnancy to compare it to probably make things worse. I know every pregnancy is different but hard not to compare.

I also feel like things went reasonably smoothly last time, and then ttc this time went much quicker than expected. So I think I’m just waiting for something to go wrong, I feel like it can’t all go well, not sure if that makes sense?

Daisydoo12345 · 05/06/2023 21:34

@HappyFeet63 also due 14th feb…third baby. Feel very very anxious this time around. It’s been 8 years since I had my youngest…the wait for the first scan seems a life time x

Jaystarlight · 05/06/2023 23:46

Hi everyone just got back from a wild few days in Disney land and was going through so many emotions whilst there. Had some bad pains was convinced I was having another loss but then had bad nausea but none since. Just did another FR test and got this so suppose for now seems okay. I did test as have a history of loses and I am 43. Trying to stay calm as I know these lines don’t mean much

Jaystarlight · 05/06/2023 23:46

Sorry here’s pic

My lines have been super faint as well until now. Do you have any pics? I'll show you mine. The first tests that are so faint are the day I missed my period.
I have been full of worry.

The clear blue was Sunday at 4+6

Is anyone else getting period type pains regularly? I’ve been getting them throughout, maybe 3x a day, often they come on if I do something vaguely exertional like go up the stairs. I assumed it was normal but my Mum said she didn’t think it was and she never had them. Anyone else? She made me a bit paranoid!

Yes I've been getting some mild cramping, it is normal apparently according to forums and websites I've looked on as long as it's not really painful. Every pregnancy is different so what someone else experienced might not be your experience. My mum and sister were both really sick with their pregnancies but I've not felt sick yet (fingers crossed)

HashB · 06/06/2023 10:12

@jamontoast2 yes I had a lot of this although I am 5 weeks tomorrow and it’s calmed down a lot. Mine was never painful but it was uncomfortable.

This is really TMI but is anyone else suffering with awful constipation? I woke up in the middle of last night with what felt like intense period pain, but it’s because I needed to go to the loo after days. It was awful!

I am eating a fibrey cereal, adding chia seeds, drinking so much water, I don’t know how else to help it?

Morning sickness also started this morning, yay!

Yes, I'm having them too! Quite regularly coming and going. I don't remember this with my first but it's apparently normal. I have unfortunately already started to feel sick too.... I was very ill with baby no.1 so I'm starting to think this is going to happen again 👀
I wonder how much of it is all in my head - I've only known for 2 days and started feeling sick right away!!!! App says due date is February 12th.

Whippetmother · 06/06/2023 11:35

@jamontoast2 hello, I’ve also got this. On and off and more some days than others. I discussed it at my appointment with my health advisor who said it’s totally normal and only to worry if the pain is severe and if it’s accompanied by lots of bleeding… it’s continued into my 6th week but isn’t as frequent.
@AbsolutePlonker I felt sick on and off for the first week I knew (mostly in the afternoon), it then went away but has come back with a vengeance in week 6. Not all the time and not exactly severe - feels like car sickness on and off throughout the day. Did yours gradually increase with your first or did it suddenly appear? Hope you’re feeling ok! X

AbsolutePlonker · 06/06/2023 11:39

@Whippetmother my first pregnancy I got gradually sicker (I was being sick every 2-4 hours, couldn't cope with food smells, couldn't go in the kitchen) until about 14 weeks when it just disappeared!
But I didn't find out until 7 weeks with my first, so I don't remember feeling ill early on...

Whippetmother · 06/06/2023 11:42

Thanks for sharing @AbsolutePlonker - and I’m sorry to hear you were so unwell! If I didn’t know I was pregnant I’m not sure I’d think a lot of it - perhaps putting it down to other things. Definitely noticed an increase this week :( although it’s also mildly reassuring that my hormones must also be changing which I hope is a good sign (I’m sure I’ll take that back if it gets worse).

babyD20 · 06/06/2023 19:29

Hiya I'm 5+2 just wondering is anyone else has literally no symptoms. I don't have any which is making me anxious. X

Ihatewinding · 06/06/2023 19:51

Also feeling a lot more crampy these last couple of days and defo bit more emotional, not sure if due to feeling more anxious about the cramping and sleep is still bit rubbish so feeling tired as well - my husband said earlier you're only 4 weeks you can't be this tired already and I wanted to cry! He did apologise later tbf. Think I'm 4+5 so he's probably right haha. Self-referred to midwife via GP reception as was ringing to request some medication and defer my overdue smear anyway.

mashm24 · 06/06/2023 19:51

@babyD20 completely normal. I did not have any last week for a good 5 days, then woke up today bang on 6 weeks with nausea. However my best friend is in her third trimester and hasn't had one symptom throughout (lucky!!)

Hi ladies, please can I join?
I’m 37 and after almost a year of trying, and a few issues, I’m pregnant with my first 🥲 we had the consultation with fertility clinic on the Friday and got a bfp on the Tuesday! We were going to be starting IVF in July!
I’m about 16dpo, max- I had a scan on 21st May in preparation for the ivf stuff and the dominant follicle was 17mm. I’m getting 2-3 weeks on Clearblue today.
Never thought I’d be on one of these groups 🥲 I’m really nervous though, think an early scan might help reassure me. Is it 6 weeks earliest?

mashm24 · 06/06/2023 20:00

@ttcat37 aww how wonderful! Huge congratulations to you both🥰 you must be so happy! yes 6 weeks is the earliest for a private scan I think! X
