Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

I'm 4 weeks +3 and the fatigue has been unreal, nausea started to rear it's head this afternoon now too. Earlier than it did with my son which started at about 6 weeks. I've been shopping got my stock up of ginger cordial, crystallised ginger, salted crackers, rennie & gaviscon 😄 hopefully has me covered

Rachae · 05/06/2023 06:36

@mashm24 just seen about the red blood... how are you today? I bled last pregnancy around 5-7 weeks bright red. Wasn't quite period like consistency, more as if you had a nose bleed type blood. Turned out to be a harmless haematoma (little sac of blood) in the womb. Apparently they're common and fingers crossed this is what you have xx

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 05/06/2023 07:59

Hi all!

Hope it’s okay to join, I’ve joined fb group also.

I think I’m 4+3 today with a due date of 10th Feb.

I have a little boy already who is 21months, ttc didn’t take anywhere near as long as expected so my head hasn’t quite wrapped around the idea yet!

I’m feeling normal, bit bloated and boobs feel a bit bigger too. Test lines are still on the faint side at 14dpo but I guess only time will tell, it’s so hard not to worry!

Tilly18101 · 05/06/2023 08:22

Welcome @Hellsbells89 & @Pastaf0rbreakfast!

@Pastaf0rbreakfast same as you, my DD is 19 months and this our first month trying baby2 - didn’t expect it at all esp as we didn’t try that much as I was poorly over the fertile period so very shocked but I also ready no2 can take a while with the subconscious pressure for a sibling so I’m just pleased it happened even if not quite ready!

although struggling with the exhaustion/fatigue and running round after DD! I’m ok in the morning but by lunchtime my eyes can barely stay open, whilst she’s been napping I’ve literally been wrapped in a blanket with my eyes closed in bed (just can’t seem to nap!) x

Welcome to everyone who's joined!! How is everyone feeling?

@Rachae thank you. I also had heavy bleeding in my last pregnancy so trying to stay optimistic. But since then I've been diagnosed with PCOS and had the lletz so I'm panicking. I have a scan at 1 today. Hope you're okay. When's your next scan? X

Thanks @Tilly18101 its definitely exhausting having a toddler too!

My clearblue digital display has disappeared so stressing about that as online it says a positive result will stay on for 6 months but a negative will go after 24hrs. Has anyone had this before?

Rachae · 05/06/2023 09:30

@MamaA8146 it's reassuring then that the same thing happened in the last pregnancy. All my fingers crossed for the scan today. Mines 9am tomorrow xx

Rachae · 05/06/2023 09:31

@Pastaf0rbreakfast as a veteran of preg tests .. always get first response for clarity! The most sensitive and if you test every two days you see the line getting darker and hcg is rising. A digital only reads the two lines for you anyways xx

Whippetmother · 05/06/2023 09:39

@mashm24 thinking of you today. My GP told me not to panic too much if spotting happens. You’re doing the right thing in going to get checked out. Keeping all crossed for you x

mashm24 · 05/06/2023 10:36

@Whippetmother thank you❤️

Hi and congratulations on all your pregnancies 🩷
Is it ok for me to join in? I've also joined the Facebook you created. Thank you for doing that. I've found reading all your journeys really helpful.

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and it is my first baby, due the 6th February. The symptoms I've had are tiredness. insomnia (awake every night between 3-4am) and boob sensitivity. I also have felt some cramping too. We've already told family and a few friends as it's been so hard to keep it a secret and have booked an early 8 week scan although trying not to get overly excited as I appreciate anything can happen.

A quick question I have and I can't see it's been asked yet but sorry if I've missed it, is when do you tell your manager about your pregnancy? Would you wait until 12 weeks?

mashm24 · 05/06/2023 11:23

@xoxogossipmum hello and congratulations on your first pregnancy!! How exciting for you 🥰🥰

I wanted to wait to tell mine until 12 weeks, however with my first pregnancy I was so sick so I had to tell him at 5 weeks! He was very understanding and I was able to work from home most days, so this really helped me in my first trimester. I guess it depends on how you are feeling? X

Good luck with your scan today @mashm24 - let us know how it goes!

@xoxogossipmum congratulations! I’m only a few days ahead of you, we’ve told some very close friends only so far but that’s because we spend so much time at each others houses they would notice as soon as I didn’t drink! Haha.

with my first I told my line manager only at 6 weeks because I was really struggling, so she knew where I was.

with this one I am going to try and wait until after 12 weeks if I can, as it’s pay review time for me right now and I don’t want this to impact anything if they know I’m going off on Mat leave (legally I know they can’t but they will if they can know my corporation!)

xoxogossipmum · 05/06/2023 12:00

@mashm24 thank you for your advice! I'm feeling okay so far so I'll hopefully be able to hold out the full 12 weeks. Good luck with your scan today, will be thinking of you!

xoxogossipmum · 05/06/2023 12:03

@Tilly18101 thank you for your response and exiting we are due around the same time!

That makes sense. I'm also one of those people that will be suspicious if not drinking but luckily we don't have any major events involving drink planned until we can finally tell everyone.

Hi! Joining this thread if that’s ok!

I got my BFP on a digital last night and a Vvv faint line day before. Ovulated 24th May so 13dpo give or take. Never had symptoms in previous pregnancies but metallic taste on Friday made me test and that ‘just know’ feeling once that hit. Very very early days I know! Due 14th Feb? V day baby would be lovely X

Due February 2024!

Hiya, can anyone help. I just at half a salt beef bagel and it looked really pink but my mum insisted it was just the way it's cooked that makes it look so pink. I am now an anxious mess about toxoplasmosis can anyone help settle my nerves. I know it can cause miscarriage. Feel sick I've got my self so anxious.

Hey @babyD20, as long as the salt beef was steaming hot, should be fine!

babyD20 · 05/06/2023 14:37

It wasn't. It looked like it had not long been cooked but was just being kept warm under a hot light I think. 🙃

It would of had to be cooked before putting it under the lamp I assume? Hopefully if so, it will be fine. Try not to worry too much about it though and I'm sure a one off will be fine. I know that's easier said than done though. I put a bit of salami in my mouth the other day and luckily spat it straight out realising but it's hard to get into the new habit of things you can and can't eat!

hellobanana · 05/06/2023 15:11

Hi All! Would love to join your thread! Had a chemical in April which was so upsetting as have been ttc since late last year, but yesterday my stabbing tit (only one lol) made me test at I think 12dpo (personally missed the peak on testing on this cycle so assumed this wasn't my month) and yayayayayya so excited I could cry all day, going to wait this week to make sure all is ok but just feeling so relieved and happy! For some reason won't let me add a photo but had a digital 1-2 weeks and 3 other tests positive 🙊

Daisydoo12345 · 05/06/2023 16:41
