Does anyone know anything to do with work? I’m a supervisor at a busy retail shop and struggling with managing staff/the stress/cashing up. They did say they’d try and put me on 2 supervisor shifts a week but it was a bit of a palava and it caused me more stress, I don’t even think I can do the 2, (I want to do regular till shifts) I tried ringing HR today with no answer. Can they sack me or put my contract hours to lower (I can’t really afford to do that) I’d be more than happy to give up my supervisor wage (extra 30p whoop😂) not sure where to go. The manager I asked said she wasn’t sure as our other manager wasn’t in. Thanks

Mummy1502 · 19/05/2023 21:15

I’ve been sick tonight, my own fault, left myself hungry for too long, anyone else have that symptom? As soon as your even slightly hungry you feel sick x

wannabemum38 · 19/05/2023 23:49

@Mummy1502 I was sick before tea tonight had only picked at crisps and couple of biscuits all day but was busy with work meetings. I feel OK now I've eaten but can feel a little nausea creeping in again. Thought it had gone for good.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 20/05/2023 05:31

@Mummy1502 I’m like that or at least have been. My nausea has gone right down but when it was bad it was worse when I hadn’t eaten in a while.

RG84 · 20/05/2023 05:39

@SMG1992 thank you so much! After a week of not getting a period, I didn't check. I left it as long as possible mainly because I previously had a MC a year a go and since then was difficult getting pregnant again so was almost scared to check. I then had a work trip to South Africa on the 4th May so whilst packing that morning, I thought I must check as I'm flying that evening. And thank God it was a BFP :) still anxious everyday but just need to stay positive.

SMG1992 · 20/05/2023 07:19

@RG84 aw I know how you feel. Best to try and stay positive as so much is out of our control

smldnlove · 20/05/2023 07:42

@Justanothercyster oh amazing! Can’t believe you can feel movements already, must feel so surreal. That’s lovely 💕

@Mummy1502 i get this sometimes. It’s more like when I leave it too long and then try and eat, it just doesn’t want to go down. I do feel it is getting better now though. Went out to an Italian last night and had starter main and desert which I didn’t think I’d manage.

Hope everyone is doing well today and feeling as positive as they can, anyone got any scans across the weekend? X

99SR · 20/05/2023 08:00

@smldnlove im not good, full of anxiety. Woke up during the night and had some pink on the toilet paper when I wiped. Was at EPU on Tuesday as the same thing happened on Sunday night. They said it’s nothing to worry about but I can’t help but worry! Anyone else had this? I also had quite bad pains yesterday with what felt like ovary pain?

hope you’re well today too x

smldnlove · 20/05/2023 08:18

@99SR Oh I’m so sorry to hear this, must be really unsettling for you. I know there are quite a few ladies on here who have had the same at various points and it be completely fine so am sure they will come in on this too. I would give EPU another call about the pink and also the pain perhaps? Or monitor today and see how things go? Even just for your own peace of mind alone. Did you get a scan on the Tuesday when you went in?

Mummy1502 · 20/05/2023 08:18

@99SR yea I had this a few times really worried me, but epu said it was due to having sex so made me feel a bit better x

Justanothercyster · 20/05/2023 08:40

@Mummy1502 yep, hunger sick is horrible

Mummy1502 · 20/05/2023 08:51

@Justanothercyster feel like shit today, scared now I’ve been sick once that it will happen again, I’ve been doing so well, thought 9 weeks was a bit late for symptoms to ramp up, in all my other pregnancies I started feeling sick from 6 weeks x

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 20/05/2023 10:02

@99SR Had this and still having this. 12 week scan yesterday showed happy little baby ❤. In my case it's a cervical ectropion. Basically the cells on the outside of my cervix are super sensitive and bleed in response to anything. Bowel movement? Bleed. Sex? Bleed. Housework? Bleed. Walk? Bleed. It's not a lot, more like my discharge is stained with blood when I wipe. No risk to baby but damn it makes me anxious!

Mummy1502 · 20/05/2023 10:03

@FlyingHighFlyingLow that sounds like mine, although not seen pink in a while now, just thick, worrying isn’t it x

99SR · 20/05/2023 10:21

@FlyingHighFlyingLow omg that gives me so much relief. Could cry with how anxious I’ve been this morning. Googling everything! I was doing a lot of heavy-ish lifting at work yesterday so could possibly be that.
My sore boobs & sick feelings have definitely decreased but I’m telling myself that’s usual too 🤷🏼‍♀️
Im so glad everything went ok at your scan 🩷

bookbathnap · 20/05/2023 10:27

Hello can I join you? I’m due 1st December and have been lurking until I got to 12 weeks. My scan is next Thursday. Symptoms have eased except the tiredness, but my mental health has been very up and down. Some days I feel so down anxious depressed hopeless and other days I feel like I can take on the world! It’s much tougher than I ever imagined, but I am so grateful.

Mummy1502 · 20/05/2023 10:52

@bookbathnap i feel the same x

99SR · 20/05/2023 11:59

@bookbathnap congratulations! And welcome. I feel the same, it’s such a worry. Today is one of my worst days RE anxiety!

wannabemum38 · 20/05/2023 12:55

@bookbathnap congratulations and yes very up and down here too. Im 11 weeks today and can't believe I've got this far but still get doubts creeping in that baby's okay which is crazy it was fine on Monday wriggling away. Still got 11 days until my next scan. Can't wait.

Mushroo · 20/05/2023 15:16

Scan went really well :) measuring 8 weeks which is what I thought and not twins! 😂

Saw the heartbeat and have some nice ‘blob’ looking scan pictures.

So relieved and can now feel a bit smug about my lack of nausea!

wannabemum38 · 20/05/2023 15:31

@Mushroo congratulations that's lovely x

DaisyMay25 · 20/05/2023 16:25

@Mushroo that's great! Feel smug, I feel horrendous 😂😂

Opinions on this, it's my mum's 60th (party on the 3rd June) I'm wondering wether to get a private scan just because we go when I'll be 10+3 and surprise her with the scan photo
Or just wait a week and a half for 12 week scan and tell her then?

wannabemum38 · 20/05/2023 16:44

@DaisyMay25 are you only telling her or anyone else at party? Are you going to be beable to hide not drinking easily unless it's a non drinking party? Be a lovely birthday present but only if you really want to tell people.
We told my parents after my first scan at 8 weeks as if god forbid anything was to go wrong again they would want to help and be there for me but noone else knows yet. Its very hard keeping it secret.

Pitstop1986 · 20/05/2023 16:56

I told my mum as soon as I got a positive test! But everyone is different. It would be a lovely birthday present for her to get a scan picture, definitely a lovely idea, although I wouldn't go telling everyone at the party (unless your mum is happy for you to) so as to not steal her limelight!

At that stage, you'll get a really nice picture!

DaisyMay25 · 20/05/2023 17:02

@wannabemum38 I don't drink anyway so no give away there I just won't really be eating and not really taking part in stuff because this first trimester is really kicking my ass.
I've told my sisters already.

@Pitstop1986 oh yea I wouldn't tell anyone else there. I didn't want to tell her any earlier without another scan after last time
