For anyone feeling nauseous in the morning, I read online that if you eat a cracker before getting out of bed it helps the nausea. I tried it this morning and it actually did work, made me feel much less sick. I had the ryvita crackerbread crackers, they are easier to eat dry than like a Jacobs cracker x

@99SR Yay!!! So happy to hear this!! Lovely news!! Hope you are feeling reassured by it and can have a bit of peace of mind now! This has given me hope for ours in a few hours! ✨✨

99SR · 06/05/2023 11:20

Thank you! @smldnlove im sure yours will go well too, sending love! 💓 let us know how it goes! What will your due date be then? Flo says mines is 18th December xx

Charlielechat · 06/05/2023 12:32

Congrats @99SR great news! ☺️

I've also found in the last couple of days I'm not really enjoying my coffee as much. I could have easily drank a few cups a day (decaf) but I'm not interested anymore. Really hoping this is a good pregnancy sign lol🤞

smldnlove · 06/05/2023 13:31

Just had my scan!

Saw little bean and a strong flickering heartbeat. It was amazing!!! However !! Found out I’ve completely miscalculated my dates and am actually only 6w4d which has thrown me!! Can’t believe I got it that wrong. I’m a little taken back as had hoped I was closer to 2nd trimester and feeling a bit more certain. But really can’t complain! It was quite emotional seeing it, heart feels very full! 💕

New due date is December 26th which will be erm interesting 😂 anyone else around Xmas day?

Charlielechat · 06/05/2023 13:50

Ah amazing @smldnlove ! Congrats!

Yes I'm due 27th so we're very close 😄 Will be interesting to see if it changes after my scan on Tuesday!

Mushroo · 06/05/2023 13:52

@smldnlove amazing! So glad it went well.

Based on my dates I think I’m the 30th December so pretty close (although clearly the scan could change everything!)

DaisyMay25 · 06/05/2023 13:54

@smldnlove I'm due around then too I think, will find out Friday. My sons birthday is 22nd December and I'll have a planned section so it'll be around the same time 😂

DaisyMay25 · 06/05/2023 13:56

@99SR @smldnlove glad your scans went well! Can't wait for Friday. It'll be 12 week scans coming round soon 😭

GingerJanee · 06/05/2023 14:08

Just had my scan!

Everything looked perfect according to the sonographer and I felt so happy seeing the flickering heart beat! She estimated 7w1d and by my dates I’m 8w2d but she reassured me at this stage they’re so small it mightn't be the most accurate calculation and wait until 12 weeks for a definitive! Anyone else been told this?

SMG1992 · 06/05/2023 14:44

@GingerJanee i had similar last week, I thought I was 6+5 but measured more like 6 according to sonographer
she too said not to be concerned when it’s this early though

DaisyMay25 · 06/05/2023 14:56

@GingerJanee yea the measurements are so small the tiniest movements makes a difference. It's completely normal at this stage it's we they wait til baby us bigger to date and just estimate gif now. I'm glad everything went well with your scan 😊

Clucket87 · 06/05/2023 14:58

Hormones have well and truly kicked in today.I cried because I thought I had ruined our morning after having to call recovery out to my car. I hadn't. It took about 2 hours and I was only going food shopping.
I'm now crying because King Charles thanked William.
God I'm a mess. I had forgotten how you go from happy to a sobbing mess! X

Mushroo · 06/05/2023 15:03

@Clucket87 i cried last night because DH got ever so slightly exasperated at me not deciding what takeaway I wanted (that he was going to drive and pick up for me).

He was mortified when I burst into tears 😂

I teared up when he thanked William too! I need to get a grip

wannabemum38 · 06/05/2023 15:36

Glad.your scans went well x

Flower35214 · 06/05/2023 17:31

Hope it's okay if I join? I'm not certain whether I'm due at the end of November or the start of December but feel a lot closer In symptoms to everyone here! I have my 12 week scan on the 25th of may. Will be my second, feeling very sick and tired running around after a 2 year old! Hope you're all okay x

chickaboo81 · 06/05/2023 17:43

Hello all, just joining this thread.

A little introduction, I'm 41 no children & around 6.4 weeks pregnant. I've had 2 previous MC, really hoping all is good this time around. I'm going for a early scan on Tuesday morning 😊

I'm 6.4 today too :) I'm in bed with a cold and feeling very sorry for myself! Good luck with the scan

Surewhatsanother05 · 06/05/2023 19:08

Hi everybody! Just found out today that I'm expecting...again! A big shocker but a very welcome SURPRISE! If all goes to plan, this will be baby No.5. Christ the night. Congratulations and good luck. O x

Surewhatsanother05 · 06/05/2023 19:09

💕

DaisyMay25 · 06/05/2023 19:17

Welcome newcomers and congratulations!

I feel horrendous today, my nausea is getting worse. I forced myself to go food shopping but didn't think I'd manage and spent the rest of the day on the sofa. Bath and bed now for me. I'm finding eating hard now, just eating when I have windows of feeling human but then the nausea comes back shortly after. I was hoping it wasn't as bad this time 😭

Flower35214 · 06/05/2023 19:33

@DaisyMay25 the nausea is the worst, I'm living on ice lollies and mints hahaha.

Wineisgreat · 06/05/2023 19:46

Day 3 on anti sickness meds. Better today which is amazing because I had to take DD to a coronation party on my own as DH was working. Luckily nothing made me feel nauseous and I grazed comfortably on lots of different types of foods which was fantastic. This evening I'm wiped though and it's back with a vengeance. Ah well, the respite was welcome and DD is in bed so Greys it is then an early night (again!)

HannahLouD · 06/05/2023 20:49

Ugh... My optimism after scan on Wednesday hasn't lasted long... Am 9+1 and even though I saw baby at 8+5, I just can't help but feel all will still go wrong... I know it's still possible for a MC or MMC even after that.

We told family yesterday and now I feel really, really stupid for not waiting longer.

The midwife and sonographer literally told me everything was looking great and the risk of MC is now around 2% but I can't get myself to believe that right now. I think it's because I've now told people and I feel like I've jinxed things (stupid I know)... Now all I can think about is having to tell everyone bad news.

I hate my brain 😩😔x

wannabemum38 · 06/05/2023 21:30

@HannahLouD I'm same dates as you lovely and understand your worries. We have only told my parents at the moment and we have what feels like ages to wait for the next scan. I keep having days of positivity and then days of doubts. My private messages are always open or I'm on the Facebook group x
