@Blondie1024 so sorry to hear this news

FfoxRedN · 21/04/2023 19:59

@BabyBabyBaby123 I'd definitely give them a ring and make sure they have your dates right. You don't want to miss the blood test cut off. Sounds like a nightmare 🫣. Hopefully once this hurdle is dealt with they'll be better x

Runnergirl1 · 21/04/2023 20:14

Thack · 22/04/2023 07:53

So sorry @Blondie1024 ❤️

Thack · 22/04/2023 07:57

I had proper booking appointment yesterday. Bloods, urine, CO (which they didn't do over covid so new to me!)

MW kept explaining first trimester which I found entertaining as I'm over 11weeks now.

Whst reasons are people giving to work for appointments (if not fessing up)?
So far I've had docs and dentist. Might say the scan is a blood test and they ran late on the day.

Sb86 · 22/04/2023 08:12

So sorry for your loss @Blondie1024 sending love and strength ❤️

BabyBabyBaby123 · 22/04/2023 08:58

@Thack didn’t they book your dating scan at your booking appointment, or do you already have a date for that?

Skyla01 · 22/04/2023 09:15

@Thack fortunately my midwife gives appointments on a Tuesday which is my day off anyway. For my scan I'm going to sneak away and hope no-one misses me. Again lucky I already work in a hospital near the maternity unit so don't need much travel time! I know you can just tell work and get the time off but I'd rather keep things quiet until after 12 weeks.

SillySquirrel · 22/04/2023 10:01

Hi, hope I'm okay to join!

I'm 8+6 and due 25th November. I had a scan last week at 8 weeks and saw baby's heartbeat and everything growing as it should. It was reassuring as I had a miscarriage last year at (estimated due to irregular cycles) 7+2, so seeing everything in place was really reassuring and exciting! I've got terrible nausea and sickness, total lack of appetite (except for tomato soup!) and I'm exhausted all the time. Good signs I know but hard to deal with! 😊 My booking appointment will be on Thursday this week, so I'll be almost 10 weeks - been worrying it will be too late with some of the posts I've read!

vix_85 · 22/04/2023 10:22

I'm intrigued with all the posts about the booking appts. Mine is booked for 3rd May by phone, and I'll be 11 weeks. No scans booked with NHS and nothing about any bloods. In in SW UK. Anyone else getting a similar experience?

Hi everyone just checking in.

I did the self referral form for my midwife appointment and received my 12 week scan letter before I had even heard from her to book my booking appointment. crazy how it's so different for every area.

I had my daughter nearly 6 years ago so I imagine it's all very different now! also in a totally different area to where i had her. but still nervous excited for the journey as its been a long 4 years getting here!

still abit in disbelief that it's all happening but trying to not think too negatively and just good vibes! (easier said then done!)

I'm in the SW, I had my midwife app on 8/4 at 8.5weeks and my 12w NHS scan is on 8/5 and I think I'll be almost 13w at that point (this is going from my early scan) hope that helps x

LilmissCa · 22/04/2023 11:49

All good in scan measuring 10w1d... so 3 days ahead

@Blondie1024 I’m so sorry to hear this, absolutely devastating. Please look after yourself ❤️

38andtrying · 22/04/2023 15:35

I am so bloated, my pyjamas are even sticking into me, does this go down or is it only going one way from here ? Just wondering if I should get new pyjamas and few pairs of bigger jeans now or will it go back to being flat again? I'm 10w+4, my tumy is also quite hard and the bloating is real low down. What is everyone else experiencing ?

vix_85 · 22/04/2023 17:01

@38andtrying so much bloating! Not sure if it's made worse by the progesterone but I've invested in some stretch high waist cotton trousers from tesco. Super comfy and look nice too

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 22/04/2023 18:11

@38andtrying I am the same. It's my second and I can just about get in my jeans and I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. I'm about as big as I was at about 15 weeks last time already. I'm very bloated this time compared to last time as well. Struggling to hide it at the moment x

JD90 · 22/04/2023 18:26

I am happy to report that scan went perfectly, measuring a little ahead of what I'd first thought at 8+5 which I'm taking to mean I'm a few days closer to being rid of this hideous nausea and vomiting!! Wriggley little bean with a strong heartbeat! Such a relief.
