@Mldn super exciting, enjoy the day with them x

Travellingislife · 21/04/2023 12:09

Good luck to everyone having scans today!

Travellingislife · 21/04/2023 12:11

@NatGee I’m so glad the acupuncture seemed to work in the end, I remember you saying you didn’t like the first appointment you had and that it didn’t do anything.
I’ve only had one treatment and I’m still nauseous but I’m not bedbound like I was before.

@Mldn aw that’s so cute, your parents will be over the moon!

Travellingislife · 21/04/2023 12:19

@Skyla01 I definitely look bigger but it’s a combo of bloating and eating unusually unhealthy food. With my son I pretty much just looked like I’d gained weight until about week 28

NatGee · 21/04/2023 12:51

@Travellingislife oh, its done nothing for the nausea 😅I think i now understand what im meant to be feeling and am enjoying the sessions more.
Seems like you really reap the benefits towards the end of the pregnancy when prepping for labour and even helping to induce it. ill keep going around once a month until i'm closer to term. Will you be returning after your first session?

GemmaJen · 21/04/2023 13:20

@FfoxRedN , @reememberly thanks, it's been a rough few months, the waiting and not knowing is so hard to deal with. Hopefully the wait will fly by for you both.

Also on a plus I stopped the progesterone today on advice if epau now that I'm at 12w. So glad, I hated taking it! But it seems to have got us this far, so grateful for that 🙏

Hope the scans due today all go well. I get serious scanxiety, so thinking of you all!

seven201 · 21/04/2023 13:28

@anna2101 congratulations! Good luck to the others having scans today.

I just had a scan today at my recurrent miscarriage clinic. measuring 11+3 (12 by dates) and all looking good. Very wiggly. Can't believe it!

I definitely have a tummy, but it's mostly chocolate and progesterone bloat I think!

Travellingislife · 21/04/2023 14:18

@NatGee oh no 🙈 well at least you’re enjoying it now!
I had acupuncture to induce labour as my son was nearly 2 weeks “ overdue” and the hospital wanted to induce me. She said it’ll start within 24h, my water broke on the dot 24h later!

NatGee · 21/04/2023 14:23

@Travellingislife ohhhhh witchcraft! thats it, im sold :) on a more serious note, you must have been delighted not to have been induced, I'd also like to avoid that. Was it a vaginal birth?

Travellingislife · 21/04/2023 14:27

@NatGee yeah I was sure he wasn’t late as I knew my ovulation date so I wanted him to come when he was ready. I was planning on having a pool birth but ended up with an emergency c section, he had the cord wrapped around his neck so needed to come out asap!
I’ll plan for a pool birth again but be ready for whatever happens 😅
I’ll probably keep having the odd acupuncture and reflexology session throughout my pregnancy, I find it very beneficial for my mental health.

MooseWL · 21/04/2023 14:28

All well with my scan (apart from a stubborn comfy baby that wouldn't move to get the measurements 😂) measuring exactly 12 weeks. Was so cute to see it's little arms and feet.

NatGee · 21/04/2023 14:43

@Travellingislife key sentence there, be ready for whatever happens! very wise :)

MeganC104 · 21/04/2023 14:51

@MeganC104 beautiful! congratulations, hope you're thrilled/relived/excited :D

38andtrying · 21/04/2023 15:20

Scan went well today, bang on dates and heartrate 162 which she said is perfect, i got to see the baby moving today which was amazing, it even jumped at one stage. Big NT scan now on May 11th but nothing inbetween, doctor said baby b shouldnt cause any complications for baby a and thats it now really. Felt real for the first time today and i am allowing myself today to relax. Delighted @MeganC104 and @MooseWL your scans went so well too

MooseWL · 21/04/2023 15:41

@seven201 @MeganC104 @38andtrying yeay glad all the scans were good today! Hopefully we can relax a bit now.
My sickness has definitely eased off a bit too which I am thrilled about as with my first I was sick until over 20 weeks so was expecting similar!
Hoping I might be able to stomach a cup of tea soon as I really miss it!

Runnergirl1 · 21/04/2023 15:55

congratulations on all the scans. I too had my scan today. Measuring ahead 12+2 with a due date 1/11/22

Had my NIPT results back today. All clear. And it’s a boy, which hadn’t even entered into my head!! DD won’t know what’s hit her!

BabyBabyBaby123 · 21/04/2023 17:33

Finally got my letter for my booking appointment when I will be 12 weeks pregnant. The letter says that I will be referred for my dating scan at this appointment.
I’m not very impressed … not sure if I will
manage to have my scan by 14 weeks if I’ll already be 12 weeks when I’m referred.
There’s a number on the letter for more info about antenatal screening, so I’m going to call them on Monday and see if there’s any way my scan can be booked ahead of my booking appointment.

FfoxRedN · 21/04/2023 17:53

I'm so please all your scans went well today 🥰

@BabyBabyBaby123 I'm sure it should be the same everywhere but during my phone call the midwife told me the booking bloods had to be taken before 10 weeks, so they must be mixing up your dates somehow?!

BabyBabyBaby123 · 21/04/2023 18:00

@FfoxRedN I’m pretty sure the midwife or my doctors lost my first form, as I filled that in on 17th March, but went in on Friday and filled another in cos it had been 4 weeks and I hadn’t heard anything and within 1 week I got this appointment through.
I’m really starting to wonder whether I made the right decision with the hospital I have picked, or if I should have just stayed at the one where I had my DD2.
I picked it cos it’s closer to home and the midwife I will see in the community is linked to this hospital and there were a mix up of my notes last time, where the hospital thought I hadn’t attended any midwife appointments! So neither seem very straightforward options!

Travellingislife · 21/04/2023 18:24

Congratulations to all of you having had scans today ❤️ Such happy news!

Blondie1024 · 21/04/2023 18:31

I'm out ladies. My scan revealed a missed miscarriage and baby stopped growing weeks ago 💔
Congratulations to everyone that had good news with their scans today. Wishing you all healthy pregnancies ❤️ x
