Hello all. Here is a fresh thread to fill up with lots of chitchat and milestones. So sorry if I’ve missed anyone out or got the EDD wrong. I tried to look back through but there were so many messages 😅 I’m sure I must’ve missed some people out. Many apologies, it wasn’t intentional. Sending hugs to all. 🥰🌈👶🏻🤰🏻

Congratulations @log51! Wow, what a chunky little boy! Amazing job for bringing him into the world. And great for him that he is already so strong. And congratulations also to you @kl1999 . Sounds like quite an intense birth and I imagine lots for you and your partner to process. Birth is always a huge experience, but yours sounds quite challenging. Take good care of yourself in your recovery.

Re breastfeeding - I don’t know if you’re struggling with latching or just trying to catch up with your production after the x section (for me, a tongue tie meant baby didn’t drink well the first few days and needed formula to supplement so now I have to try and get my production to catch up). Whatever it is, my tips are drink loads of water, eat lots of warming, comforting food, rest whenever you can and try not to stress if it takes a while to get there. You are both learning - that’s normal. For low supply, fenugreek supplements and milk thistle are great, and there a bf teas. If you struggle or just want support, I highly recommend getting a consultation with a lactation if you can. Did it with my first and now again - so helpful and means you have one voice telling you how to proceed rather than 100 google searches, friends, and people like me 😉. Can be confusing sometimes.

anyway sorry for the long message, hope some of it is helpful and big hugs! I’m going through this journey myself and trying not to feel guilty when I have to give a bottle. We just have to be patient with ourselves and focus on a full belly being the most important 🤗

Hi all I just wanted to say that my baby has become so so chunky lately. I can’t believe how grown she is now🥹wearing 3/6 months clothes 😂

congratulations to everyone hope you are all doing great 💕

Houseelf90 · 23/10/2023 03:47

@Daisy155 ob wow!! Henry seems to have got chunky but is still quite small, 5.5 weeks now and still just about in up to 1 month size, 0-3 things drown him though!

Henry has a really sore throat 😩 I feel so useless trying to comfort him when there is so little I can do to help. He also seems to be in pain trying to swallow his milk now 😢 I’ll be going to the chemist in the morning to see if there’s anything we can give him.
I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Daisy155 · 23/10/2023 07:59

@Houseelf90 I am sis sorry to hear that Henry is unwell it’s that time of the year! I hope he does get better soon! A sore throat at this age must be so tough 😕

I have been worried as my 6 year old has a really bad cold/ cough and I have it as well now! I think it’s inevitable Ayla will catch these bugs because of her older brother who goes into school! I’m just keeping the both then really hydrated and warm!

But I hope this strengthens her immune system! If she does get sick!
And yes I am so surprised by her jumping straight to 3/6 months old clothes! Wasted so much on new born clothes 0/3 months

Daisy155 · 23/10/2023 08:04

I meant so not sis*
Them not then *

Houseelf90 · 23/10/2023 08:41

@Daisy155 thank you! It’s awful because he’s crying/screaming which must be making his throat hurt more. He’s now all snuffly as well bless him. We’ve spent a lot of the night walking round the house as that’s the only way he would settle. It sounds inevitable that Ayla will catch it, fingers crossed you’re feeling better before she does or she manages to avoid it!
Oh yes I bet there’s so many things you’ve not used or has hardly any wear out of! I’m concerned all his Christmas outfits will be too big as they’re all 3-6 months 🙈

Houseelf90 · 16/11/2023 18:28

How is everyone doing?
Henry was 9 weeks yesterday and loves smiling!
He had his 8 week jabs today so is rather sleepy and grizzly but doing well so far I think! Has anyone else had theirs yet?
