I have got my scan date through the post today and it's on March 30th, I'll be 11 weeks 3 days by my estimations. It still feels a lifetime away!

Chanteuse · 14/03/2023 19:25

@MrsL22 aghhh it’s annoying isn’t it!

Hankthehonk · 14/03/2023 19:44

@Jealousofchiliheeler congratulations on the positive scan! 👏

I've had light bleeding since my internal scan on Sunday, even though I know this happens (it was the same with my last pregnancy) it's still alarming and really draining me. My iron is always low, I'm waiting for blood test results as I'm sure it'll be anaemic as per last pregnancy and lll need iron tablets. In the meantime losing blood is making me even more exhausted and light headed.

Those who have had blood tests done how long did it take for results to show up? It's been nearly a week for me now

SillyOldBear3 · 14/03/2023 19:44

@AlongcameLainey my scan letter came through today and is also on 6th April, I'll be 12 weeks 1 day, but I think I ovulated later this cycle so probably more like 11 weeks 5 days. I haven't had any early scans so quite relieved I don't have too long to wait!

Midnight00 · 14/03/2023 20:02

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway My scan is also on the 30th! I'll be exactly 13wks, it cannot come soon enough. Just want to know that everything is going okay and get combined test done

Jealousofchiliheeler · 14/03/2023 20:11

@Hankthehonk thanks, feeling much better now. Sorry to hear about the bleeding, hope it stops for you soon. A week sounds much too long for blood tests though, I would definitely call to check.

So exhausted tonight, I barely slept last night, taking myself to bed already!

LWestYorks · 14/03/2023 20:11

My scan is on the 6th I’ll be 13 weeks bang on.

@Hankthehonk i were thinking the same today, had my bloods done last Thursday and still not on my records when I log into my GP account. X

Ss32 · 14/03/2023 20:15

I’ll be 12 weeks on Saturday and still not had my scan letter. I txt my midwife and she’s had to send the referral through again! We go away next week too so it’s going to have to be either early next week or very close to 14 weeks! 😱

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 14/03/2023 20:18

@Midnight00 i just can't wait for it to come round, it's such a long wait and I want to know everything's okay

Chanteuse · 14/03/2023 20:19

@Jealousofchiliheeler snap! I’m already in bed myself!

AlongcameLainey · 14/03/2023 20:26

@Chanteuse ahh sorry you have to wait so long.

I will consider myself very lucky to be having mine early in that case - I couldn’t imagine have to wait until 13 weeks! I’m too impatient for that!

OrionNebula · 14/03/2023 20:41

Hi all, haven't been in much as had a lot on. Got appointment for my fetal harmony test tomorrow, scan and blood tests. Feeling pretty nervous about scan again as still very few symptoms other than sore boobs and tiredness.

DancingNancies · 14/03/2023 21:16

I've had my 12w scan appt for ages, but I think our hospital and community midwife services run separately to a degree as I had to register myself with hospital maternity services before I had my booking appt. I'll be just over 12w by then, but I've booked an early scan around 10w as we won't have childcare for the 12w scan and DH wants to see baby!

Re bloods results - mine were taken last Tues and I've heard nothing...if I remember correctly last time I got a letter with the risk factors in the post (as all was low risk) - so I assume no news is good news!

PrimarilyParented · 14/03/2023 21:19

With regards to breast feeding I don’t think it caused weight loss for me. To be honest I gained weight after DS was born as I was perpetually hungry and I had actually lost weight compared to pre-pregnancy as he was a huge baby who took everything. I did find my shape changed (belly flattened a little) after I stopped breast feeding altogether (DS was around 18 months I think) and others I know found the same.

Flying12 · 14/03/2023 21:33

@AlongcameLainey I’ve got mine this Friday and I’ll be 11+2 going off my LMP

Summer022 · 14/03/2023 21:56

@LR94 Oh that’s such a good idea!! I’m going to order myself some in the hope it’ll take the edge off the nausea. I do the same thing and eat as soon as I feel hungry! Poor baby is living off Tangfastics, plain bread and plain crisps currently as it’s all I can keep down!! Xx

@VictoriaBlossom A she wee is utter genius. I am going on Amazon right now 🤣 I work out in the community so always in my car desperately needing a wee especially since falling pregnant!! Private scan on Saturday morning, first ever one so feeling really nervous! Will be good to have the reassurance of a heartbeat so fingers crossed. xx

VictoriaBlossom · 14/03/2023 21:57

@Summer022 have you ever used a she wee?

OrionNebula · 14/03/2023 22:08

Also, anyone else incredibly thirsty? Feel I've been absolutely parched last few days!

LaVitesse2022 · 14/03/2023 22:22

@OrionNebula same! Thirst was one of my first symptoms and still going strong. That and ravenous hunger

Saturnsmoon · 14/03/2023 22:38

@OrionNebula same, I’ve had this since quite early on in pregnancy - also seems to be worse at night - I wake up desperate for a drink. Part of me was wondering about gestational diabetes (I’ve got risk factors for it) but having read up on it I think it’s actually just quite a common symptom in the first trimester. Good luck with your scan and Harmony test, do you mind updating afterwards? I have mine on Monday and am starting to get a little nervous.

OrionNebula · 14/03/2023 22:41

@Saturnsmoon thank you, yes I will update, although won't get blood test results for a few days. I just googled gestational diabetes as I wondered the same thing but seems like it would be pretty unlikely this early on, it usually doesn't present until after 20 weeks apparently. Glad it's not just me with the thirst anyway!

Needtobuildabridge · 14/03/2023 23:42

@OrionNebula @Saturnsmoon ( two space themed tags!) Your body is producing lots more blood volume right now. More blood needs a higher water content, hence the thirst.

I'm finding it hard to get enough to drink too. I'll end up with a uti at this rate!

NSx · 15/03/2023 07:16

Morning everyone 🤍

for those asking about blood results. I remember last time that they contact you via phone pretty quickly if something comes up on the bloods so I doubt u will need to wait for a letter, no news is definitely good news ✨

I’m in Scotland so they give you your booking and 12 week scan appts the minute you register your pregnancy.
My 12 week scan isn’t until 19/04 so a lifetime away in comparison to some in here, but have an 8 week scan today so fingers crossed all is ok 🤞✨

hope your all doing ok, I’ve been feeling dreadful by the time the evening comes, lots of sickness waves all day, but only been sick twice 😭🤮 x

Elttek · 15/03/2023 07:44

I'm 9 weeks today and have woken up with barely sore boobs- really disconcerting as they've been sore since I ovulated! Trying not to overthink it, but can't help but worry 😕

VictoriaBlossom · 15/03/2023 07:46

@NSx my nhs scan was moved to yesterday and my booking appointment is today.
Sending good vibes for todays scan, looking forward to seeing your update ❤️
