@firstlittlefrazzleontheway yeah same ... without being TMI I could almost wear a liner.

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 07/03/2023 11:27

@katherine123x I keep wondering about wearing a liner too! In hindsight I wish I'd mentioned it to my midwife on Friday when I had my booking in appointment

katherine123x · 07/03/2023 11:30

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway I have my booking appt Friday! I will mention it to her and come back to you if you like ??

amiold · 07/03/2023 11:35

Yes to the discharge 🤦🏼‍♀️

Has anyone started being sick yet? I feel sick a lot but not started yet

katherine123x · 07/03/2023 11:35

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway good old google says it's normal !

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 07/03/2023 11:39

@amiold the vomiting started last week for me, felt nauseous from very early on and the sickness started at 6+6 it's been horrendous with work

SnookyPook · 07/03/2023 12:01

@HistoryFanatic not planning an early scan although it feels like a looooong wait!

Symptoms-wise I have a bit of a low lying nausea and a bit of an ache in my lower abdomen. I've been a bit more tired and hungry... Other than that, not much at all. I did notice my discharge yesterday had a very slight pink twinge but not had any proper spotting.

NSx · 07/03/2023 12:14

Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this awful taste in my mouth 🫣I feel nauseous but not actually sick and I don’t know what’s worse 🤮

katherine123x · 07/03/2023 12:20

@NSx booked sweets?

SnookyPook · 07/03/2023 12:37

@NSx suck on a boiled sweet/peppermint? 😬

NSx · 07/03/2023 12:40

I’ve tried sugar free mints but it’s not lasting very long 😂😂😂 I find I feel less sick when I eat but I will end up the size of a house 😂😅 @SnookyPook @katherine123x

katherine123x · 07/03/2023 12:59

@NSx just realised I'd put booked sweets 😂😂 yeah I know what you mean I feel like I'm eating more than ever this week. Yet last week I didn't want anything!

DancingNancies · 07/03/2023 15:12

I had my booking in appt today - was sent away to fill in the book and had to go back which was odd, but they took bloods, a urine sample and I've got my 16w appt booked in too. Will get extra consultant appts because, as the midwife put, I've got some "extra padding" and need to start taking aspirin as I had high blood pressure with DC2 so hopefully this will reduce the likelihood of getting it again! All positive though and she put me a couple of days ahead so 7+4!

LaurenFM · 07/03/2023 15:32

Hi guys,
I’m around 9w3 days had a scan last week at 8w4 and measured a day ahead and all good.
I’m anxious as we had a mmc last year at 9w, and today I’ve had left side pain almost like a pulling feeling in my left side, low down in my pelvic area. I’m trying to relax, I’ve not had any blood. I’m on progesterone too so worried that could mask something.
Is anyone else feeling and low one side pain?

I am getting pain on my left side but a bit higher than you I think, feels like ovulation pain?

DancingNancies · 07/03/2023 16:03

@LaurenFM midwife said today that some aches and pulling feelings are normal as your uterus stretches, and you might feel it more after exercise/lifting/reaching for things - but that anything more than uncomfortable or anything that makes you double over should be checked out - how painful is what you're feeling?

MrsL22 · 07/03/2023 16:03

@DancingNancies I have my booking appt tomorrow and I’m sure I will also have the ‘extra padding’ comment - I just hope my midwife puts it as nicely 😂🙈. From my scan at EPU last week I’m also at 7+4 so we could be due date twins 🤞🏼

I’ve been suffering with crippling nausea and actually saw my GP yesterday who has signed me off work with hyperemesis gravidarum. I have low blood pressure and am verging on dehydration because everything absolutely repulses me. So making a really conscious effort to drink plenty. I’ve also been prescribed Cyclizine for the nausea but so far no luck 😭 if no improvement by tomorrow I will go back for something else.

LaurenFM · 07/03/2023 16:58

@OrionNebula aww thanks for replying, I hope yours is not to uncomfortable too!

@DancingNancies thank you! I would just say it’s an uncomfortable niggle, but I’m not doubled in pain or anything. It could even be trapped wind I guess as the constipation is definitely ongoing.
I think experience a loss is just robbing me of the ability to just enjoy everything and take the odd niggles.
May try upping my fibre and moving around more see if it helps.

cruciverbalista · 07/03/2023 17:01

@LaurenFM I've been experiencing something similar off and on since last night. I think it's growing pains or digestive, as it's not a hugely intense pain.

LaurenFM · 07/03/2023 17:18

@cruciverbalista thanks for replying. Comforting it’s not just me. You’re probably spot on!
Hoping to get my 12w scan letter soon and hoping my anxiety will settle after I have that :)

lighthousechristmas · 07/03/2023 17:21

@DancingNancies same as me (aspirin too), they've got me booked in to see a consultant tomorrow about my BMI - i'm only 10 weeks so earlier than i thought i'd see someone. They used the word extra padding too haha I hope the consultant isnt mean 😥

Alexandra07 · 07/03/2023 17:24

Do you mind sharing what is your BMI if your midwife talked about extra padding? Are you going to have extra appointments or scans?

BeaKind · 07/03/2023 17:28

I have my booking appointment tomorrow too 🥳

@NSx I have a weird taste in my mouth too and it always feels kind of dry so just keep drinking water which is helping.

Bee1994 · 07/03/2023 18:44

Had my booking appointment this afternoon and all went fine. Had my bloods taken but they didn’t ask for a urine sample. She said she’d send my notes to the hospital I want to have the babies at and should get the letter for my 12 week scan in a couple of weeks!

Needtobuildabridge · 07/03/2023 19:04

Got my reassurance scan at the EPU tomorrow after Monday's little incident. I'm really nervous. 😬
