My baby boy arrived today at 9.34am by C-Section. Weighing 3.95 kg. All doing well. Still working on name.

I’m 37 weeks tomorrow and still no gas and air available at the hospital, been given the go ahead for homebirth now and I can have gas and air at home, so as long as baby doesn’t come when the ambulance strikes happen I should be ok. Can’t face birthing without gas and air, it’s been making me feel so stressed. They’ve closed the midwife unit at the local hospital too, it’s all very stressful. Can’t fault the midwives though, they’ve all been brilliant.

@AK93 she listened to the stern words this time (we've had plenty in the last couple of weeks) as I think I started having little contractions about half hour ago. We're on our way in anyway. I did laugh at not crossing my legs though 🤣🤣 thank you for that ❤️

@Nettlestea I’m hoping mine is ok for it, it’s the only thing other than paracetamol and birthing pool I’m not worried about having, but given how I had to do breaths to cope with getting to the shop (10-15min walk away) I may need something stronger to get through labour 🙈 the ambulance strikes are worrying, I hope you get your home birth and it goes well. My hospital cancel the home births when there’s ambulance strikes too (they’re still supported by home birth team but in hospital instead) I’ve been advised to give birth in hospital though.
Is the midwife unit closure at yours due to staffing? So much anxiety isn’t there! ❤️

Can't believe we're still in Feb and so mant little ones have appeared already. Congratulations to all the mothers and hope you're all keeping well.

@Moonicorn I saw you mentioned 'taking enough snacks' how much is enough? Lol. Also what to take for 'entertainment' whilst in hosp? Ipad? Or won't really be bothered at that point?
