I hope it’s ok to pop on with a question - I have been lurking for some time!

I had a cervical check this morning - baby very low but only 1cm dilated.

Seem to have had a bloody show since then and random contractions (mild but uncomfortable).

39 weeks exactly - could this be it or do you need to be more dilated for it to be go time?

@JB2021 I think it's just a general not while they're unsupervised thing really, so that they don't over heat or it fall on their face somehow 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 I suppose less of an issue if you'd be sat in the back with them anyway

@Babynumbeeone I don't think it matters how dilated you are as that will have to change at some point for baby to come out anyway! Try and time your contractions and see how they go....good luck!

@Babynumbeeone oooh you're the same as me, 39 weeks exactly and I had a sweep this morning and was told I'm 2-3cm dilated with a very low baby, had a fair bit of blood and a lot of tightenings!! Just playing the waiting game now, hoping nothing happens over night really as not sure we'd get someone over to watch our lil one

Some can be dilated at 2-3cm for several days and nothing happens so I wouldn't focus on that

Thanks all. Good to know what everyobe else is doing. Ill probs buy another cardigan in 0-3 and then play it by ear. Ive still got 3 and a half weeks to go so definitely overthinking.

My bum really really aches today!! Im still on GD diet and craving Pizza!!!

Sleep at the end of this pregnancy has been awful. I wake up every night with awful heartburn and have to go and sit/sleep upright on the sofa for a few hours. Really trying to enjoy whatever time I have left but the heartburn and lack of sleep is making it hard!

Have you been to the GP? They gave me some omezoprole (sp ) it's made such a difference to my heartburn as was making me miserable.

They ramped up so I went in. I’m now 6cm (with epidural) and hoping the baby arrives today!

I have jumped over from the April thread. I was originally due in 6 weeks, but the baby will be delivered in the next 3 weeks! Too much pressure in the umbilical cord has started to slow down his/her growth - so I am being scanned twice a week. Yesterday was my last day of work, 5 weeks earlier than planned so it was a little manic sorting everything out before leaving (I am a teacher). Today will be spent buying things I need for me in the hospital and begin sorting out baby bits.

It suddenly all seems a lot more real 😳

@BabyTalbot1 snap! My due date is 7th April but baby will be born at 37 weeks so I hopped over too. Is this your first?

@Moonicorn yes, this is my first baby. What about you? Do you feel ready? My baby was due on 10th April, so just a few days after yours.

Just wanted to say if anyone ends up with an unexpected NICU stay (like me) feel free to DM me if you want some support ♥️

Also wanted to say at 6/7 days post c-section I feel much more physically able than I did at 36 weeks pregnant! And that was without any specific pregnancy related pain, just the usual fatigue and large bump. So I feel for you guys in the last stretch of pregnancy - it really is hard at this stage to stay mobile and sleep comfortably. Hang in there!

@BabyLimey the heartburn is absolutely awful. I woke up at 3am this morning after only getting to sleep at 2am, to heartburn so awful that it made me throw up. The thought if this heartburn is enough to put me
off having anymore babies😂

@Rainbowbaby23 omg bless you 😞 I had that the other night, literally had to run to the bathroom to be sick. My husband hadn’t seen me move that fast in months 😂

It’s officially the March baby club!
40+0 today and no sign of baby making an appearance soon.. Even the lightning crotch has subsided..
Next appt at 40+3… but that’s only because there were no appts til March 20th!😰
