Took DS to crazy golf today, he loved it 🥰 hoping to take him to soft play on Thursday/Friday. Want to make the most of this last school holiday just me and him.

I've got a reflexology session booked tomorrow afternoon (don't know if I mentioned it already or not). The midwife I saw on Monday said her labour started within an hour of having reflexology done so could be interesting.

Going to go back and catch up on all today's posts now!

Baby feels extremely low down tonight, the pressure when I stand up/walk is unreal 😖

dmb91 · 14/02/2023 20:54

Laying in the bath, with a cold, feeling like a beached whale and eating strawberry laces.
God my fellas lucky! 😂

Babynum2 · 14/02/2023 21:17

@allthingssparkly this is how I felt before my waters broke I was struggling to walk and I was having lots of BH I think I had about 10 in an hour!

TeddyBeans · 14/02/2023 21:48

@allthingssparkly oooh sounds promising!!

@dmb91 now I know what my daily baths have been missing - strawberry laces! Hope you feel better ❤️

Omg I've got a cold too and haven't been able to shake for about 2 weeks! - need it bloody gone ASAP!

I had a cold when I had my son 2 years ago and he was such an I'll new born with being so congested!!😩

TeddyBeans · 14/02/2023 22:22

Fanny daggers are back with a vengeance this evening... Is anyone else getting them? Aware I'm the next closest to my due date but anyone!??

OP posts:
Eastybaby19 · 14/02/2023 22:25

@TeddyBeans I had them again on Sunday night but nothing since.
Have came to bed I'm bored and very unsettled today eughh 🤦‍♀️
Have real heavy kinda cramping in lower back like a dull ache not coming and going but just staying there not sure if it's a sign 🤔 37+4 today 🤷‍♀️

Yes me!! Worse if I walk upstairs/ uphill or bend over to get something out of low cupboard. They’ve been quite bad for 2-3 weeks but definitely getting worse (I’m 37+2 - NHS dates)

dmb91 · 14/02/2023 22:33

@JTB123 I'd be fine with some cold and flu tablets and some olbas oil but not allowed either 😫

TeddyBeans · 14/02/2023 22:40

@Eastybaby19 I know that feeling, I get long aches right across my midsection every few days. It gives me hope that the end may be in sight but ultimately results in not a lot 😮‍💨😮‍💨

@Thirdtimesacharm3 it's such a pleasant experience isn't it? Mine come in fits and spurts, I can't imagine having them every time I go upstairs. You poor thing 😭

No daggers here....but reduced movement again today, I havent gone to gey checked ( she is moving just not so much again, unsure if new pattern though - 5th episode in 28days! Im 34 weeks.
Growth scan and consultant Thurs, Im actually going to ask to ve induced at 37 weeks, the worry of reduced movements is just getting me so down

TeddyBeans · 14/02/2023 22:51

@Cats23 wouldn't it be better to go and have it logged as another episode of reduced movements to give you more pushing power when you talk to the consultant? The more evidence you have the more they're likely to agree, no? I don't know how it works but I know people have been induced early for repeat episodes of reduced movements

Morning!

I can't believe how many babies are being born every day now in the Facebook group! Baby after baby! 🤩

I'm going to be full term tomorrow 🥰 hope baby stays growing in my tummy for at least 1 more week we we need to finish renovating our bedroom 😅

Bobduncan · 15/02/2023 08:09

I keep seeing posts on insta about mums in labour using wooden combs to help with contraction pain. Please may someone explain what they are for and how you are supposed to use them?

Clarps84 · 15/02/2023 08:14

Well had my 38 week midwife appointment yesterday and it looks like baby boy has decided to turn breech! Been referred for a scan to confirm his position.

I can’t believe it! He’s been head down since 24 weeks so was not expecting that yesterday, even though I did think his movements had changed in that they were more painful. I just put it down to him being bigger and maybe dropping further

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 15/02/2023 08:16

@Bobduncan its supposed to trick your brain into focussing on the feeling of the comb pressuring into your hand (i think). I've seen so many people rave about it i bought one off Amazon the other day so will see how it goes!

TeddyBeans · 15/02/2023 08:53

@Rainbowbaby23 nice bit of pregnancy swelling you've got there! Mines minor too which is a nice change to last time! I'll have to see if I can find a picture of my feet, my toes looked like little tree logs 🤣

@Clarps84 oh no! Fingers crossed he hasn't gone breech, will you book a section if he has? My midwife thought DS had gone breech at 34ish weeks last time but the scan confirmed he was still head down. There is hope!

I had a bit of pink when I wiped last night. Nothing during the night or this morning though. Wondering if it could have been my cervix dilating a bit with all the fanny daggers. Apparently the bloody show is your mucus plug mixed with blood from your cervix as it starts dilating. I lost my plug last week so maybe the spotting is just a bit late? Who knows...

@Babynum2 he’s gorgeous! Glad you’re together now 😊

TeddyBeans · 15/02/2023 09:17

@Babynum2 oh he's just scrumptious 😍😍 enjoy all those cuddles! Can't wait to join you in newborn mummyhood 🥰🥰

OP posts:
Cuppasoupmonster · 15/02/2023 09:23

How scrumptious is he 🥰 congrats again @Babynum2 and how are you feeling in yourself?

Rubbish nights sleep here, woke up at 3am and the dog started whining to be let out, couldn’t get back to sleep or comfortable for ages so didn’t drop off again until 6 🥱

Dreamingof3 · 15/02/2023 10:32

Ohh @Babynum2 he's absolutely gorgeous 😍

Eastybaby19 · 15/02/2023 10:36

@Babynum2 he's so beautiful!! Glad yous are reunited 💖

So no more pains after last night just feel very "heavy" down there just home from my midwife appointment & she said his head was 2/5th engaged, apparently that's as far as they record with 2nd baby until they do an internal! She said my body seems to be doing everything right and with the cramps etc could be a sign Labour is close but again could be body just getting ready 🤣 . I feel like a FTM again as I was induced at 36+5 last time and never experienced any of this symptom spotting 🙈
I've a section booked for the 27th so if anything happened on it's own I think I'd try myself!
