I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

@BambiBooBoo that’s really frustrating. Do you have a walk in centre you could go to for advice? They may be able to bypass some of the red tape and send you to EPU?

I know exactly how you feel as I had some spotting this time last week and felt so helpless

Kat32x · 11/02/2023 11:31

I've booked my private scan for 22nd of Feb (I'll be 8 weeks) and then I have my 12 week scan on the 22nd of March! With my first, I had a scan at 7w 1 day, I am impatient, couldn't wait till 12 weeks 🥴

amybooth · 11/02/2023 11:39

@Kat32x how lucky that you have your 12 week scan date- I'm very (im)patiently waiting for my date but from what im reading I may have to wait until my booking in appointment to get the scan booked

Beemug · 11/02/2023 11:02

@AlongcameLainey i know it does seem all a bit vague and better to go with “mid October” or “end of October” instead! :)

what’s everyone’s thoughts on getting an early heartbeat scan? Is anyone going to pay for this privately (if not being seen in ivf clinic or Epagu)?

I had a 6 week scan yesterday! We saw its heartbeat too. Such a huge relief 🙌🏼

Mamabear345 · 11/02/2023 11:55

@Beemug

we paid for it privately, and will pay for another private one before our 12 week NhS scan too. I’ve had a missed miscarriage before so it’s triggering to wait so long between scans!

katherine123x · 11/02/2023 12:12

@Mamabear345 congratulations!! I'm going to book one we're you exactly 6 weeks on the dots x

iloveeggs · 11/02/2023 12:35

I keep getting awful pulling times every time I sneeze or cough, ever twinge is making me so so anxious.

pangolin84 · 11/02/2023 12:44

@iloveeggs I remember getting those with my first pregnancy and it really freaked me out. Apparently it’s totally normal - the ligaments get extra springy or something. But it feels awful! I sneezed earlier and thought I’d pulled a muscle and just thought “here we go again…”.

We will get an early scan for reassurance. Just haven’t decided when yet. Probably around 7.5 weeks. I had a missed miscarriage last year and I’d rather know sooner rather than later if there’s anything wrong.

iloveeggs · 11/02/2023 12:57

@pangolin84 That's exactly it, It's like I'm pulling a muscle! Its scary feeling it.

I think I'm going to get an early scan too, just to put my mind at ease.

braxxen · 11/02/2023 13:07

I've got my early private scan tomorrow. Getting nervous. I'll be 6 weeks 6 days I think but my cycle length isn't regular.

Jadeypie · 11/02/2023 13:39

@BambiBooBoo spotting can be very nerve wracking! I had a three day bleed which I thought was a chemical turns out all is fine (implantation bleed) and was very shocked to find I was still pregnant a few weeks later! The day my period was due I had brown spotting and nothing since just the usual pregnancy symptoms . I didn't experience any of that with my first hence why I straight away thought chemical!

Hang in there sending u hugs 🥰

BambiBooBoo · 11/02/2023 13:42

@Chanteuse @Jadeypie
I'm just scared if I ring the EPAU they'd said "nothing we can do" and I'll feel worse than I already do
My midwife won't even help me work out how far along I am- which is the first thing EPAU would ask

Jadeypie · 11/02/2023 13:46

@BambiBooBoo why won't the midwife help figure out your dates? How far along do u think you might be? Am not very clued up about the EPU I do know they don't help untill like six weeks do they?

I really feel for you I do u must feel like your in limbo! I havnt even booked in with a midwife yet.

BambiBooBoo · 11/02/2023 13:49

@Jadeypie I have no idea. I literally text saying "can you help me work my dates out please as my cycles are irregular and atm really long" 2 times I've asked and she has ignored me.
She hasn't booked me in either. I got her number off the GP

I'm thinking 5 weeks? I'm not sure
LMP was 31/12/22 but my cycles are long atm- maybe 35 days? But they're never regular

AlongcameLainey · 11/02/2023 14:01

@BambiBooBoo so sorry this must be so stressful!

Do you have a minor injuries/ drop in centre nearby?

last July I had an early miscarriage and when the bleeding started I phoned 111 who sent me there and then the doctor referred me to EPU to have a trans Vaginal scan to confirm.

may be worth a try to call 111 to get the referral maybe x

Jadeypie · 11/02/2023 14:03

@BambiBooBoo is it the right number? Otherwise that's Abit crap not replying!

This is mad but my LMP was 29th and my cycles range from 34-36 somtimes can go Abit awol I put it down to seasonal 🤣🤣 mines saying I'm 6+2 so I would say your around the same!

Ring the EPU and tell them your six's weeks xx

Infinitebows · 11/02/2023 14:05

Hey all, and all new ladies congratulations on your positives! 👋🏼❤️
Still following the thread but haven't dared post for a while as I've no idea what's going on for me. 7 weeks today, had a small bleed yesterday and today, it's not gushing out but definitely a small amount of fresh blood when I wipe, no pregnancy symptoms and no pains at all. I've been here before, last summer and it's just making me think it's another mc 😢 I think due to my age and having a heart shaped womb the odds are against the pregnancy being okay. Hand hold please, I've not dared tell anyone (other than DH) as we've been trying forever and didn't want to get peoples hopes up. Just so anxious today, tempted to pay for a private scan tomorrow - would you? I've got my midwife appointment on Wednesday and an early nhs scan (because of womb shape) on Thursday. Xx

monsteramunch · 11/02/2023 14:10

Sending you a handhold @Infinitebows and hoping you have a healthy and comfortable pregnancy Flowers

Jadeypie · 11/02/2023 14:11

@Infinitebows if waiting till next week gives u anxiety and going for a scan tomorrow would help keep you sane then go for it!

Sending hugs 🥰

Infinitebows · 11/02/2023 14:32

Infinitebows · 11/02/2023 15:18
