I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

@iloveeggs fingers crossed. Nothing like that for me yet... but my nipples HURT this morning! 😂
This is all so new to me I don't know anything 😂.

katherine123x · 09/02/2023 08:33

@iloveeggs I've read a lot about how you don't have to call your GP. Have you done anything like that yet?

iloveeggs · 09/02/2023 08:42

@katherine123x Oh no way? It's the start of it 🙈Mine just feel huge lol.

I rang my GP the day i found out because I had no idea what I was supposed to do, it's all new to me too. They said that they didn't need to see me until 6-8 weeks. She ended up giving me an app for next week though as i'm quite anxious about it all.

I think they just do bloods to confirm and then refer you to the maternity hospital as far as I'm aware. I've no idea when i'll get a scan or anything.

katherine123x · 09/02/2023 08:44

@iloveeggs ok maybe I'll call them. I feel anxious about just doing that. Like it will be real - I know that's so silly! 😂

AlongcameLainey · 09/02/2023 08:55

@iloveeggs i have endo too so it’s quite confusing as to what is normal isn’t it.

I called my doc yesterday due to the previous ectopic and they’ve arranged a scan for me tomorrow afternoon just to check the location (there will be nothing to see really anyway).

with my GP you have to collect a form to fill in to register with the midwife so I’m going to do that later today I think. I’ll probably not drop it back until after the scan though.

I’ve had a bit of cramping and the reason I did a test in the first place was because my nipples were so sore - even having a shower hurt!

iloveeggs · 09/02/2023 09:14

@katherine123x They might be able to even just give you an appointment.

@AlongcameLainey I'm glad it's not me worrying about it too. I'm going to see how the pain goes over the weekend and possibly call my GP again.

I'm so used to being in a lot of pain with my period, and the pain isn't that bad but there's a lot of stabbing/pulling pains in my belly.

bananaandblueberry · 09/02/2023 12:18

I contacted my GP a few days after I got my positive test and they sent me a link to register with my local midwife team who in turn called me about 2 days later to arrange my booking in appointment.

Shayisgreat · 09/02/2023 12:58

Glad to be joining this group. 4wks 4 days today. Have 4yo ds as well. Ttc for about a year and had miscarriage in July 2022 so was losing hope.

Feeling tired and headachy but no nausea yet.

WelshChick94 · 09/02/2023 13:46

I am exactly 4 weeka today aswell and was looking last night about booking an early scan for around 6/7 weeks , so exciting x

OrionNebula · 09/02/2023 14:05

I'm having trouble sleeping too. I'm usually pretty bad at dropping off tbh but last night was brutal, I had really bad restless legs, not sure if that can be pregnancy related this early! I got it last time but not until 2nd trimester.

Soooo tired and had a big presentation in work today 😴🥱

Phoenixwings1989 · 09/02/2023 14:29

I'm not coping.

I've been trying to keep myself busy since finding out so my mind wouldn't linger on my MM last year but no matter what I'm doing, it's there.

I'm quite jittery, anxious and irritable. I don't how I will get through these early weeks with no intervention 😪.

JJM13 · 09/02/2023 14:58

@BabyG2loading so sorry to hear this news x

BoyMamaChloe · 09/02/2023 15:29

Hi all! I'm 4+3 with baby #2 😊 weirdly managed to conceive at exactly the same time as my first as well!! Had 2 losses at the end of last year so I've been super anxious and referred immediately to EPU for an early scan, but trying to stay positive and make myself believe I'm actually pregnant!

afinethingindeed · 09/02/2023 16:30

I still don't have a single symptom. I wish I could remember what symptoms I had with DD. I can't remember when stuff started happening. This is the problem with finding out so early I think.
I'm 5 weeks now and I'm planning on doing a CB dating scan this weekend so hopefully I get a 3+ result and I can relax a bit.

Then I'm going to plan ahead to a private scan.. Maybe at 7 weeks?

amybooth · 09/02/2023 17:22

Hi ladies,

Hope it's okay if I join. I'm 5 weeks 4 days going by my last period but based on ovulation I'm actually only 4 weeks 4 days. I found out really early at 3 weeks 1 day so it feels like I've already known forever and time is dragging.

This is my first pregnancy and I'm so nervous- I've been given the date for my booking in appointment which is March 3rd but not heard anything about a scan or actually spoken to anyone. Feeling very oblivious at the minute which is adding to the anxiety

fleur89 · 09/02/2023 17:27

Got a 3+ weeks on clear blue dating test yesterday. Was 2-3 weeks last Thursday. Think I'm 5 weeks 0 days today so the 3+ came in perhaps one day early

BoyMamaChloe · 09/02/2023 17:39

@amybooth that sounds totally normal. Your midwife will book in your scans for you. Some are more efficient than others, sometimes they book them nice and early, others wait until they've seen/spoken to you. My previous midwife booked my 12 and 20 week scans ahead of time, which was lovely! You'll get your scan letters in the post. Have you considered an early private scan to easy your nerves?x

Oh, I'm hoping that it will come in the post soon- I feel like my anxiety will ease off if I have a date to aim for.
I keep looking at private scans but my partner doesn't really want to do one, he says if it will make me feel better then to book one but I keep going back and forth.
Where I live the clinics say from 7 weeks onwards, I wanted to book for February 25th but I'll only be 6 weeks 6 days so not sure whether I should wait a bit longer?xx

BoyMamaChloe · 09/02/2023 18:17

@amybooth you just need to do whatever will make you feel better. I'm having a private scan at 5 weeks 6 days, just to make sure everything is in the right place etc and then the EPU are seeing me at 7 weeks for a scan and blood tests.

LWestYorks · 09/02/2023 19:01

@fleur89 them dates are the exact same as mine!! How are you feeling? Any symptoms? X

monsteramunch · 09/02/2023 19:55

4+3 today and getting some quite sharp pains in my left hand side, around my ovary area, for the last hour. Really trying not to freak out. Don't even know if I had a question really, just wanted a bit of a hand hold / to know if anyone has had similar sharp pains around the 4 week mark and it's all turned out fine?

iloveeggs · 09/02/2023 20:06

@monsteramunch I'm just 4 weeks and I’m having bad stabbing pains today. Afraid to go to the drs, I have endo too so I’m used to pain and unsure what is normal/not.

monsteramunch · 09/02/2023 20:17

Sorry you're having pains too @iloveeggs Flowers

Mine are sharp but not enough to take my breath away or anything, the sort of level of pain I'd have during my period but I feel so hyper aware of my body I'm letting myself get stressed about it.

Really hope it's just another random symptom for us both and eases off.

iloveeggs · 09/02/2023 20:19

@monsteramunch I'm the same, everyone seems to say as long as it's not intense pain or accompanied by a heavy bleed it's okay. It's probably just everything stretching or implantation pains. Thinking of you 💖

braxxen · 09/02/2023 21:02

Hi All,
I'm so happy to have found this thread. I am 6 weeks +5 and have been so anxious since finding out as I have endometriosis and have been trying to fall pregnant for 18 months! How is everyone finding food aversions? I'm really struggling to eat and drink... I'm living off white bread, the odd chip and ready salted crisps. None of which seem healthy!
