Congratulations @Amy1303!

beatingheartbaby · 10/02/2023 12:49

Congrats @Amy1303 !

For those whose babies aren't in breech, just wondering where you feel the most movement? My baby seems to have always been either transverse or breech, never head down so I'm just wondering if it feels different. I get a lot of movement to my lower left of the bump

Blocklynn · 10/02/2023 12:52

Awwww congratulations @Amy1303!!
Hope you can go meet him soon!

@Cams50 good luck with the induction!

@beatingheartbaby my baby is head down, back to my right side and legs across towards my left. I get most kicks high left side, then wriggling all the way across the top and middle of bump. Only thing I feel lower down is hiccups which are in my bum.

beatingheartbaby · 10/02/2023 13:07

Thanks @Blocklynn I keep trying to feel my bump to see if she's moved but I have no clue what I'm feeling haha so I'm gonna guess by the fact my movement is still low down and hasn't changed that she is still footling breech. We have until the 20th for our next scan tho so she has time lol

ToffeeEl · 10/02/2023 13:18

@beatingheartbaby I know what you mean, mines lying transverse and the midwife can pick out an arm and all sorts! All feels pretty much the same to me

Room4onemore · 10/02/2023 13:26

@Amy1303 congratulations, hope you get to be with baby soon

my baby’s head was top left, bum bottom but arms across my top of bump and legs to the right. That’s where I’m still getting movement so I’m guessing she is still the same

TeddyBeans · 10/02/2023 13:55

All that lightning crotch seems to have dislodged my mucus plug 😂 from the previous conversation I know it's not a labour sign but it's certainly making things feel more imminent

OP posts:
Blocklynn · 10/02/2023 14:04

@beatingheartbaby i have no idea what feels like what in there, I’m just going off positioning of my last scan, midwife yesterday and the fact all movements are in the same places 😂🙈

TeddyBeans · 10/02/2023 14:14

My midwife showed me how to feel for her bum (she's always been head down for me). You push down til you feel the solid bit and kind of rock it back and forth. If it moves freely on its own it's probably the head - cuz the neck is more flexible - and if it seems to move more of the baby with it then it's probably their bum. Does seem weird that a bum and a head feels similar when they're so different 😂

Eastybaby19 · 10/02/2023 14:31

Oh my @TeddyBeans I'd be bouncing on the ball and all the usual stuff to get Labour going 🤣 I never lost mine wjth 1st pregnancy is it alot of stuff lol? I've been having the lightening crotch pain down below too it literally takes your breath away 🙈

havanamama · 10/02/2023 14:31

Since my midwife told be baby's head is engaged, I've avoided any type of poking 😄 I want it to stay there or engaged deeper

AK93 · 10/02/2023 14:36

@TeddyBeans when I saw the notification you’d posted I thought maybe you were going to say you were in labour after all the lightning crotch 😆surely can’t be long now if you’re nearly 38 weeks and lost the plug! If you’re ready maybe you can start the ‘get baby out’ ideas!!

TeddyBeans · 10/02/2023 15:06

@Eastybaby19 @AK93 I want bubs to stay put until at least Sunday! We're going out for valentine's dinner Saturday and I don't want to ruin that 😂 after about 9pm Saturday is fair game really

OP posts:
TeddyBeans · 10/02/2023 15:09

@Eastybaby19 it was a fair bit tbh. Definitely more than 'normal' discharge. I only lost mine first time round when the midwife placed the pessary so the lucky lady got it on her fingers 🤢

OP posts:
Choc2022 · 10/02/2023 16:22

@Amy1303 Congratulations! Hope you're both well!!

@AGirlsNameIsAryaStark agree!! Really need to sort things out this weekend.

@TeddyBeans lol get the Valentines meal in!!!!

Babynum2 · 10/02/2023 17:00

Hi ladies my waters broke this afternoon in the car waiting to go in and get my son from nursery. It was a massive gush! I am 36+5 so just on the monitor and they are discussing what to do as I still have my stitch in and it's due out Monday but doctor said he thinks I will more than likely have a baby within the next 24 hours going off previous labour's. I will update!

@Amy1303

Congratulations lovely bet you can't wait to go and see him!

TeddyBeans · 10/02/2023 17:23

Eeek exciting stuff @Babynum2 !!! Keep us posted!

OP posts:
Cuppasoupmonster · 10/02/2023 17:24

Oh wow!! Second baby imminent on the thread! Have you had an early baby before? My last was 37+0 so let me know if you have any worries!! X

havanamama · 10/02/2023 17:26

Wow it's all kicking off in this chat!!

@Babynum2 good luck!

Babynum2 · 10/02/2023 17:35

@Cuppasoupmonster yes 34 + 36 weeks my last 2 x

LifeOfRiley1 · 10/02/2023 17:45

Congratulations @Amy1303 !! Hope you’re keeping well!

So excited for you @Babynum2 !

On the subject of lightning crotch - has anyone felt it in their back passage? I’ve been getting shooting pains there for the past couple of days, coupled with what feels like trapped wind pain in my abdomen but cannot seem to get past it!

Blocklynn · 10/02/2023 17:45

Argh it’s all happening now!!
Hope everything goes well @Babynum2

Perexi · 10/02/2023 17:47

Eeek busy Friday! Good luck @Babynum2

I don't have my bag packed yet 😂🤐

GreenIsle · 10/02/2023 18:00

Congratulations @Amy1303 hope baby and you are doing ok.

@Babynum2 I'm sure that was a shock especially since you were doing the school run. Any contractions at all yet?

My first dc came at 40+2 and second came at 38+6 so hoping this one doesn't hold off too long I'm only a few days away from 37 weeks. Getting everything finally packed and baby bed/ Moses basket sorted this weekend. Want to do a deep clean aswell.

Had another scan and baby's still just above 10th centile but all healthy.

Dreamingof3 · 10/02/2023 18:04

Ahh good luck @Babynum2 ❤️

I bet we'll get an influx of babies now 😂 so exciting
