Does anyone know much about when inductions can be booked for?
I'm convinced baby will be late, midwife said they will let me go TWELVE!!! 😫 days late which takes me to Saturday 8th April.
Do they do inductions on weekends? It's Easter weekend too so would they induce on Good Friday? Or can I have an end date of Thursday 6th in my head?

My midwife said they would induce me 13 days after due date.

However, she would also offer a sweep&stretch at the 40 and 41 week appointments before then to try to start labour.

havanamama · 08/02/2023 08:53

Morning!

Our baby will be full term in 1 week!! So excited to meet her in the next few weeks 🥰

With my first I was induced 11 days overdue but took several days and didn't work ended in csection so was well over 42 weeks when he came 🤣 This one will be planner csection so will be a month less pregnant when he comes which blows my mind!

Babynum2 · 08/02/2023 11:05

How do people go to 42 weeks pregnant😑 I'm just about to touch 37 weeks and I cannot cope. I'm meant to be doing things in the house setting up crib ect and I just wake up everyday exhausted and not wanting to do everything. Still sick everyday to so that isn't helping I got 0 energy I didn't think it would be this hard!

Babynum2 · 08/02/2023 11:06

Woman not people* 😂

I have no idea! I was saying to DH that the good thing about being medically complex is that I only have 37 week pregnancies, 42 would feel like forever 😱

Dreamingof3 · 08/02/2023 11:15

I am only 34+3 and I'm already really struggling!

I've had a headache since last night, not helped by the fact that I just don't sleep well and also had on/off period type pains all night as well 😭 dreading another potential 6 weeks of feeling like this

Babynum2 · 08/02/2023 11:22

@Dreamingof3 that's when I started to feel like this around 33 ish weeks and I thought it might get a bit better but it's not. I'm so irritated by everything aswell my temper is very short at the moment. I can't believe I'm saying it but I can't wait to go into labour!

Dreamingof3 · 08/02/2023 11:24

@Babynum2 ohh I'm so irritable too! I hope you're not waiting too much longer 🤞

GreenIsle · 08/02/2023 13:19

I'm 36 weeks now and just done now. I have permanent heartburn it literally won't go away. I've also been feeling more nauseous and gagging a lot which is no fun. Tiredness has kicked in past few days aswell.

Clarps84 · 08/02/2023 13:30

I’m feeling exactly the same. 37 weeks today and so ready for labour! The exhaustion is just constant at the moment, the hip pain, pelvic pain and general uncomfortableness …..the list goes on 😂 I think I really underestimated how difficult these last few weeks would be.

havanamama · 08/02/2023 13:50

Yes, no one really tells the FTMs, that you will go into motherhood the most tired and achey you've ever felt 🥲😄

Babynum2 · 08/02/2023 14:47

I know it's so hard but try to stay active ladies make a point of going for little walks at your own pace because I honestly believe that's what helps bring on labour. X

Cuppasoupmonster · 08/02/2023 14:54

I agree, I’ve been forcing myself to go on lunchtime or dog walks because I know it will be hard to get back to if I don’t do it for a few days.
Plus I really don’t want the baby to turn breech 😣 got bad burning pain in the tendons between my legs though it’s horrible.

Cuppasoupmonster · 08/02/2023 14:55

Gosh I can’t believe some of this group is full term! So exciting! I’m 32 weeks on Friday so I feel miles behind you even though my pregnancy can’t go on for more than another 6 weeks at a push!

Pickles23 · 08/02/2023 15:15

I'm the same, 36+1 now and really feeling it. I'm walking the dog 3 times a day but I'm a lot slower and stiffer these days! 2 more weeks of work, can't wait to finish.

Blondewave · 08/02/2023 15:28

Anyone know the rules of travelling plane post c section? Want to go Spain for a few days when baby is 4ish weeks old.

With my first I travelled alone from England to Ireland on the plane when he was 10 days old 😬 didn’t have a c section but had a traumatic birth, forceps, stitches, shoulder dystocia and haemorrhage so was still pretty sore but managed.
Hardest bit was holding him to go through security but trying to get my pram folded down as I’d never done it before so couldn’t work it 😂 apart from that it was fine. This time I’ll have my partner with me also so won’t be alone x

How did you get their Passport ready so quickly?!
I'm looking and it says it's minimum 6 weeks to get a passport

In terms of flying after a surgery, I've not had a baby before, but after another major surgery I was told not to fly until the stitches are out

Blocklynn · 08/02/2023 18:38

@Cuppasoupmonster I feel miles behind too and I’m 34 weeks Friday! Only another 5 weeks of work to go 🙈

ChristmasJumpers · 08/02/2023 19:06

33 weeks for me tomorrow and I'm so over it! I'm sore, sick of the GD diet and not being able to sleep properly. Let's just say I'm glad I won't be allowed to go past 40 weeks. 7 more weeks of this feels like forever!!

Perexi · 08/02/2023 20:38

I'm only 33 weeks today so quite a way to go too! Well unless my placenta remains stubborn as I think that means a fairly swift c section at around 37 weeks.

Finished NCT classes yesterday so apparently were ready! 😂

Choc2022 · 08/02/2023 21:01

34 weeks and exhausted. Hip pain, pelvic pain, butt pain, so over GD diet and very emo these few days. I've mentally clocked out of work even though I'm working up until the week before due which coincides with busy year end!

On a diff note, its lovely how nice everyone on this chat/thread has been. Been browsing some of the other threads and there really are some mean and bitter ladies out there. Glad it isn't like that here.

iratepirate · 08/02/2023 21:03

Oh gosh, really @Choc2022 ?! I don’t tend to browse a lot of the threads on here but I always read people saying that MNet can be a “nest of vipers” but thankfully it seems nice over here!

iratepirate · 08/02/2023 21:04

Sorry to hear about those who are finding things tough 😕 There really isn’t long now and it will all be worth it.
