I've been running errands with my husband, and now sat down with some macarons and a cup of tea ☺️
Tomorrow we will go on a movie date, as I imagine it will be a bit of time until we can go to a cinema without having to sort out childcare or go to a baby Cinema.

Also bought the Final Push tea 😂 I feel like it's such a gimmick, but it's my first pregnancy, why not 🤷‍♀️😄

Choc2022 · 04/02/2023 15:02

@havanamama let me know about the final push tea. Not sure how you'd know if it works though but I'm interested.

@Cuppasoupmonster I woke up at 1!! Im a late sleeper and late riser and want to make the most of it whilst I can! Sorting hosp bag and baby clothes etc and cleaning nursery/box room ready to be set up. I WILL have a productive weekend (been so lazy lately).

havanamama · 04/02/2023 15:17

Are you all bringing a swaddle or a sleeping bag to the hospital?

Dreamingof3 · 04/02/2023 15:27

@havanamama I'm just taking a cellular blanket. My previous kids I just had them in a vest and sleepsuit (but that was June!) The wards are super warm!

Babynum2 · 04/02/2023 15:55

I'm just taking a blanket too. I got my pj's for hospital now so bag is done I got long sleeve button up long trouser set and then a vest top and 3/4 length bottom set and a nighty to give birth in. If anyone is planning on breastfeeding I got some good nursing bras without underwire in matalan I'm a F/G at the moment and I got XL they was only £7 for 2.

Rainbowbaby23 · 04/02/2023 16:54

Been sitting in triage for 2 hours still waiting to be seen. Havent been able to keep food or fluids down for over 24 hours🥲

beatingheartbaby · 04/02/2023 17:22

Hope all ok and you start to feel better soon @Rainbowbaby23

Cuppasoupmonster · 04/02/2023 17:38

Oh no rainbow 😔hope they’re taking good care of you?

I just went for a 2 hour beach walk with DD, all fine until she needed a wee on the beach so I had to pick her up and run with her to a cafe 🥵 haha. Fresh air did me the world of good, been feeling really flat today but it really perked me up.

Think we’re having a chippy tea tonight and I’m just going to put my podcast on and try to make some progress knitting this blanket! 🧶

Cuppasoupmonster · 04/02/2023 18:11

Oh and MIL told me today that BIL and family who live abroad are flying back for 2 weeks at the end of March 😱😱😱 when the baby should be about a week old. PILs live down the road and they’re staying with them, so I’m absolutely dreading it now. I just know MIL will try to strong arm me into lots of visits and ‘having the whole family together’ as much as possible. If it was May or June it would’ve been fine but it’s going to be in those really hardcore first few weeks 🙄 I get a bit fed up as while I’m sure it’s planned around school holidays etc, his family stuff always seems to coincide with when I have a newborn. They got married (in the country they live in) when DD was a month old and DH had to fly there for the weekend. The date for the wedding was set long after we told them our due date, it all felt a bit annoying at the time.

I just want the first month or so as quiet as possible but feels like I’m going to get the opposite 😕

iratepirate · 04/02/2023 18:29

That sounds annoying @Cuppasoupmonster .. I’d get those boundaries set pretty soon if it were me.

Rainbowbaby23 · 04/02/2023 18:52

Have protein and ketones in urine. Might have to stay for fluids

allthingssparkly · 04/02/2023 19:50

Hope your ok @Rainbowbaby23 fingers crossed they get things sorted.

I had a very sudden dizzy spell this morning, which was so unusual for me been taking it easy for the rest of today and I think I will do for the rest of the weekend to be honest. The smallest of tasks are taking it right out of me 😢

Hope everyone has a nice weekend whatever you are upto x

JG24 · 04/02/2023 20:47

My partner has suggested getting a private scan soon. I'm currently 31 weeks atm. No worries or issues but think he just wants to have one just in case and also it's an opportunity to see our baby again.
For those that have had scans around 33 weeks is it worth it? Will a private scan pick up on any issues and can we see the baby we'll or will she be too big for us to see very much?

I have had a scan in week 33 and 35, and could see baby in both.

The midwife looked at the heart, umbilical cord, amniotic fluid volume, placenta, presentation.

Rainbowbaby23 · 04/02/2023 23:10

Finally back into bed after some fluids. Feeling so much better!:)

Rose429 · 04/02/2023 23:31

@Cuppasoupmonster Welcome to the dreading early visitors club! I’m already thinking about sacrificing my DH by asking all the visitors and him to get out of the house for coffee or something so I can bleed in peace with the baby haha

Babynum2 · 05/02/2023 05:28

@Rainbowbaby23 them fluid bags are liquid gold I feel a new person after I've had one shame it doesn't last though!!

Choc2022 · 05/02/2023 05:51

@Rainbowbaby23 good to know you're feeling better.

What snacks has everyone packed in hospital bag?

Rainbowbaby23 · 05/02/2023 08:07

Thanks everyone:)
@Babynum2 iknow right! Was told to go back today if im still vomiting and feel rubbish. They did want to admit me but there was no beds on the wards

TeddyBeans · 05/02/2023 08:18

@Rainbowbaby23 glad you're feeling better ❤️

37 weeks today - officially full term 😱 happy Sunday everyone

OP posts:
Babynum2 · 05/02/2023 08:23

@Rainbowbaby23 very lucky I get admitted everytime I have a midwife appointment for atleast a day my longest was 5 days! I try really hard to drink as much water as I can but I just can't seem to keep it down still with the HG.

@TeddyBeans Happy Term Date🥳 last stretch now. I'm 36 weeks today and have hit my personal milestone of furthest pregnancy. I really think this baby will be over this time although TMI I have just woke up with toilet problems and that's how both my other labour's started. Probably just over thinking it though feel fine apart from that.

**

TeddyBeans · 05/02/2023 09:08

@Babynum2 congratulations! We can celebrate properly now 😂 I've been having loose stools for a week or so now... TMI question but what's the difference between that and a prebirth clear out??

OP posts:
Babynum2 · 05/02/2023 09:13

@TeddyBeans so from what I remember my midwife telling me last time because I mentioned it she said its due to the baby moving down and pressing on your bowels. I had it both times thr day before my waters went. I haven't had toilet issues this time but don't think there's anyway of telling if it's just a dodgy tummy or sign of labour.

Room4onemore · 05/02/2023 09:25

Morning ladies, what is the best thing I can take for a cough? Cause get it lovingly from my 4 year old 🙄

Blocklynn · 05/02/2023 09:29

It was my sister’s wedding yesterday so a wonderful but very long day and I feel shattered today.
Want to get out for a gentle dog walk and we are supposed to be painting our living room today, I might do more supervision than actual painting 🙈😂

I think baby is in an odd position as I keep getting pain down the right side of my bump.
Hoping it eases off today.

Talking of being “loose” I’m having the opposite problem and only going every other day at most. Is there anything gentle I can take to help? Don’t want to end up giving myself the runs.
