Thanks for replying Cuppa! First two were 8lb 9 and 8lb 5. (Though DS2 head was pretty big - 35.5cm when born) both labours spontaneous/birth pool/no intervention/small grazes that didn’t need stitching. Barely got to hospital with no 2 hence why thinking about home birth! I have read that the stomach (which is my highest measurement too can get more squished than head so fine fit it to be a bit bigger! Am sure we will both be fine! 🤞

Oh in that case I wouldn’t be at all worried, sounds like your body can manage just fine. DD was 6lb5 and even then I needed forceps, so I’m a little worried (not too much though). I was thinking of pushing the induction back to 38-39 weeks but given his size I’m happy to stick at 37 to minimise the risk of him getting stuck. Hoping by next scan in a couple of weeks the abdomen will have come down slightly, I’m working so hard on my blood sugars!

Dreamingof3 · 28/01/2023 09:35

@Cats23 she's gorgeous! You're definitely mad though 😂

@Blocklynn 32+5 at the scan, i think the baby would be on a higher centile on a general chart but probably not by much 🤷

Off to a wedding today ..don't know how I'll get through a whole day with no nap 🤣🤣

Rainbowbaby23 · 28/01/2023 12:02

Hi just looking to see if anything has experienced anything similar.
I'm 33+4 today and starting last night I've noticed some itching. Mainly on the bottom of my legs, feet and toes and fingers? There’s no noticeable rash and babies movements have all been fine. I wouldn’t say it’s unbearable but I do notice it. Not sure if just normal pregnancy itch? Ive read about OC but that seems to be mostly palms of hands and soles of feet

Starlight2022 · 28/01/2023 12:25

@Rainbowbaby23
Hello, pregnant midwife here!
Definitely give the hospital a call so they can check your bloods. Itching from OC is more often on palms of hands and soles of feet, but we often see it in different places as well so absolutely worth checking out.

Rainbowbaby23 · 28/01/2023 13:01

Thankyou!:)

Rainbowbaby23 · 28/01/2023 13:57

Also, has anyone looked into the purple line theory?🤣🤣 not sure how accurate it’s supposed to be but I definitely have the line😂

AK93 · 28/01/2023 17:05

@Rainbowbaby23 I did get curious! didn't ever think I'd be looking at other women's bum cracks on search engines but needed to see what it looked like 😆I know what to look out for now haha

Babynum2 · 28/01/2023 17:33

Is anybody else feeling the "stretching down below" I have had it a few time now but today its really painful. Its like a burning stretching like his head is pressing right down I've been uncomfortable all day. I also have really bad anxiety today it was very bad first trimester but it's back again and I never know why I'm feeling it.

What’s that 😱 scared to search for it!

Babynum2 · 28/01/2023 17:45

Forgot to add 35 weeks tomorrow and just picked up a birthing ball on my local FB selling page for £2! It's supposed to help with the PGP so instead of sitting on sofa in the evening I will sit on the ball and bounce.

Rainbowbaby23 · 28/01/2023 18:12

@Cuppasoupmonster a purple line is supposed to appear up your crack basically and it’s supposed to be an indication of how dilated you are, although I’m not convinced because according to mine im 10cm which I definitely am not🤣🤣

Babynum2 · 28/01/2023 19:27

@Rainbowbaby23
goes the the bathroom to bend over infront of the mirror 🤣

I checked - I'd probably be about 10cm too if this had any bearing 😬

😁😁 know any yoga poses that might help??

OP posts:
TeddyBeans · 28/01/2023 19:38

Speaking of yoga and stretches, does anyone know any that help with PGP? My hips/crotch/ butt/everything in that general area are so bloody sore! My hips are constantly popping and I feel like I'm about to snap in two 😱

Physio showed me all of 2 and it was ‘happy cat, sad cat’ probably be more helpful looking on youtube😂

NM1819 · 28/01/2023 19:44

@TeddyBeans I went to physio this week for SPD, they emailed these stretches to me to have a go at and they do seem to be helping a bit. She advised to do every 2 hours, but I've just been trying to do them 4 times a day ish. Also, sitting on a hard chair, bend one leg and bring it up so ankle is resting on top of other knee, sit up straight and hold onto bent leg for 20 seconds then switch, do 2 times for each leg. I hope that makes sense!

havanamama · 28/01/2023 19:49

I spent a lot of time on my exercise ball this week whilst working and I am not sure what I did wrong (maybe not pump it up enough?!) but it gave me the worst PGP yesterday!!

My physio sent similar exercises, I have just not yet prioritised doing them, apart from the cat back arches.

havanamama · 28/01/2023 19:52

I'm in week 35 now and my belly is so bottom heavy and stretch marks popping up everywhere now, that I am convinced this baby will be here around the full term mark in a couple of weeks.

TeddyBeans · 28/01/2023 19:57

Oooh thank you! Will have a go tomorrow 😁

@havanamama I feel you - I'm ridiculously heavy atm! Also experiencing A LOT of Braxton hicks. My bump turns into a bowling ball at least 2 dozen times a day 😱 36 weeks tomorrow and still feeling like a fraud. I just don't believe there's any way I'm full term in 7 days time

OP posts:
havanamama · 28/01/2023 20:49

I don't think I've had Braxton Hicks yet 🤨 does everyone have them?

TeddyBeans · 28/01/2023 21:24

I don't remember having them at all with DS but they were coming up on the toco rating when I was being monitored right before my induction. I think I assumed (wrongly) that everything I felt in my tummy was a movement from him. This time my bump gets physically hard - there's no distinguishing baby, it just feels solid all over. It used to feel like she was rolling over/sticking her bum out and then just staying there for a few seconds to make my bump feel tight if you've experienced anything similar?

OP posts:
Cuppasoupmonster · 28/01/2023 21:24

I’m not sure I have, I never did with DD 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve had a few occasions where my stomach feels unusually hard/tight but with no pains or anything so not sure.

Absolutely shattered, only got DD to sleep an hour ago. She suddenly became fixated with the fact our dog rolled on a dead rat last week (
🤮) and wanted to talk about it endlessly in the dark 😂 all you FTMs have this to come! You’ll be having the most bizarre conversations at the most inconvenient times.

TeddyBeans · 28/01/2023 21:40

@Cuppasoupmonster sounds like them, they're not supposed to hurt, just feel tight
