Tell her to get a First Response

I don't see a second line, has she had her pregnancy confirmed by the doctor and arranged for booking appointment with midwife?

fairgame84 · 22/01/2023 19:02

Thats not very strong for 9 weeks, it should be a dye stealer.
Was it an fmu? Is she sure about dates?
Mine looked like that at around 11dpo.

ladywithnomanors · 22/01/2023 19:04

I don't see a second line. Get a better quality test and do it first thing in the morning.

Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 19:10

She is 9 weeks Tuesday and no this isnt her first morning wee in fact she said she didn't eat or drink anything and only had a cup of tea before taking the test

There is a line u just have to brighten ur phone to see it, yes she had a blood test and also had her first midwife appointment already

You shouldn't have to brighten your phone to see it at 9 weeks.
Has she had stronger lines before this one?

fairgame84 · 22/01/2023 19:42

This is what it should look like

She tested at night and had nothing to eat or drink but a cup of tea minutes later she done a urine sample... Mine was fainter than urs

OP posts:
fairgame84 · 22/01/2023 19:45

So that test is from 31st December and not today?

Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 19:47

She isnt 9 weeks yet until Wednesday/Tuesday and this was taken on the 16th January 2023 in the night she had no food or drink for the whole day and only a cup of tea to drink minutes after she took this test

That's probably why it's so faint.

Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 20:32

She had a blood test done aswel so hopefully all is well, i told her that she needs to start eating and drinking properly.. Do u think that is the reason why her test are so faint? She has no cramps and bleeding also at this early stage there is no guarantee of miss miscarriage

K37529 · 22/01/2023 21:35

She really shouldn't be going all day without eating or drinking that's really not good for her or the baby, is this because of morning sickness? If so she should see her gp they can give her something for it.

GoT1904 · 22/01/2023 22:03

The eating and drinking won't be good for her but wouldn't affect her test line.

It is extremely faint for 9 weeks. Is that the only test she's taken?

Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 22:51

I have already stated that this test was taken on the 16th January she is 9 weeks Tuesday /Wednesday.... I thought eating and drinking will effect the hcg levels

Overthebow · 22/01/2023 22:55

So the test was taken at almost 8 weeks? It’s very very feint for 8 weeks. Could she do sly her now, or get a private scan?

Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 22:57

It was taken in the night she does take folic acid aswel she is waiting on her blood test

OP posts:
Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 22:59

No she hasn't had any morning sickness or anything just very busy to eat or drink properly 🤷🏽‍♀️

YourGazeHitsTheSideOfMyFace · 22/01/2023 23:01

Why is she testing during the night? Is something wrong at home that she is having to keep her pregnancy testing secret? And is that why you are seeking information on her behalf?

Does she need some more practical help from you?

Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 23:08

She has mental health issues and she just got out a domestic relationship, i don't want to say too much about her private life

Of course, it just occurred to me that she might not be safe if she is having to do this in secret, and if so, you might be best making sure she is okay in that regard before dealing with the pregnancy stuff.

K37529 · 22/01/2023 23:12

I'm sorry but no one is too busy to eat or drink anything all day especially when your pregnant, she's putting her own health and the health of her baby at risk eating and drinking should be top priority, if she's that busy she could stock up on snacks, cereal bars, fruit anything that you can just pick up and eat, and carry a water bottle.

Iamnothe1 · 22/01/2023 23:18

She lives in a womens refuge now and she is just asking as the doctors state a line is a line and the epu won't scan her as she isnt high risk in pregnancy and not experiencing any cramps or bleeding, i just wanted to ask 4 some advise so i can show her that others are supportive, i don't have friends around my area i just moved.
