Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

@Luna57 I hope so! Though I still feel super tired today. Sorry I don't have any knowledge of covid during pregnancy. But I'm sure now you're this far along baby should be nice and snug and your body should just fight the virus. Stay hydrated as much as you can and get plenty of vitamin c in your diet. Are you taking a vitamin d supplement too?

Vwswimmer1 · 28/02/2023 19:46

Unfortunately my scan wasn't good, so I'll leave the thread. Good luck to you all and for your rainbow babies x

Houseelf90 · 28/02/2023 20:00

So sorry @Vwswimmer1 look after yourself xx

Littleheart5 · 28/02/2023 20:00

Thanks so much for all the good wishes.
scan went very well, could see the baby wriggling around which I’ve never got to in my previous losses so that was amazing to see! Measuring at 9+6 so all perfectly on target, so far, fingers crossed. Had my NIPT as well today so hopefully results of that are okay.

im also on progesterone, staying until 12 weeks @Tinkerbell098 and will be reviewed after that

Littleheart5 · 28/02/2023 20:01

@Vwswimmer1 I am so sorry to hear that. It’s so devastating. Take good care of yourself.

HopefulBee · 01/03/2023 05:58

@Littleheart5 glad to hear you had a good scan. So cute to see them wriggle about when they’re still so tiny right? ❤️

CaliGirl47 · 01/03/2023 08:16

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. 💔 I hope that you are well supported in this time of loss. 💐 @Vwswimmer1

Hey everyone! This group has gone a bit quiet these last days. I hope everyone is doing ok. I’ve still got slight nausea so still on medication, am still extremely exhausted and after feeling quite confident for a while that everything turns out well I suddenly got this niggling fear that maybe I don’t feel pregnant enough and sth might be wrong. I’m 11 weeks today. Next scan is on Wednesday, that’s our dating scan.

Anyway hope you’re all doing well, and that next week brings lots of positive scans for those of us who have them.

Blueskies4 · 03/03/2023 09:12

@HopefulBee the constant second guessing things is exhausting isn’t it, fingers crossed for you that your dating scan brings you some peace of mind 🤞🏻

I have a private scan tomorrow but feeling super negative, I’ve been bleeding most of the week and questioning my symptoms constantly. I’ve also been unbelievably sick/nauseous this week, but managed to convince myself that I’ve got a bug and it’s not pregnancy related.. at this point I think I’m losing the plot 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Littleheart5 · 03/03/2023 11:16

Still daily nausea for me here too @HopefulBee , from midday until I go to sleep. The tiredness has lessened though, I don’t feel I need to go to bed at 8pm anymore! Just really looking forward to NIPT results, 12 week scan and then hopefully being able to tell people, fingers crossed. I hope your scan goes well, and everyone else having theirs this week x

Houseelf90 · 03/03/2023 17:05

Good luck for your scan tomorrow @Blueskies4, fingers crossed it goes well for you!

My nausea is really on and off at the moment. Thankfully more good days than bad, I just hope that’s not a bad sign for baby! I am mega tired still though, in fact getting worse I think! Fell asleep on the sofa yesterday at 6.20pm!
I’ve had my booking bloods done today, 11 days to go until my scan!

Astar21 · 03/03/2023 20:43

I'm just plodding along over here trying to keep myself busy!

@HopefulBee I know exactly what you mean about the niggling fear. I've also had that this week where I suddenly think what if everything isn't okay and my mind goes into a spin. These scans can't come around quick enough!

@Blueskies4 I hope tomorrows scan goes well for you 🙏🏼

@Houseelf90 I'm the same with the nausea. It only comes in very small waves now. I'm hoping it's just easing off as nearing the end of the first trimester

Houseelf90 · 03/03/2023 22:48

@Astar21 fingers crossed that’s what it is! I’ve still got very sore nipples which I’m hoping is a good sign!

HopefulBee · 04/03/2023 06:27

@Blueskies4 Funny how we can have the most obvious symptoms yet we tell ourselves it must be sth else. I’m all likelihood all is fine. Crossing my fingers for you for today! 🤗

@Houseelf90 and @Astar21 I think mine is also getting better and mostly bad after eating. Some mornings I even forget my meds and cope ok until after lunch. I remember with my daughter I started to have better days around 11 weeks and it got far easier by the time I ended 12 weeks. No nausea from 14 weeks onwards. Hopefully we can all leave that symptom behind soon! The fatigue is another thing…mine is also still awful.

Houseelf90 · 04/03/2023 13:48

@HopefulBee everyone says the fatigue is normal, we’re growing a small person inside us but I really am not sure I should be quite this tired, it’s ridiculous!

Blueskies4 · 04/03/2023 16:29

Ladies it was good news at the scan.. still can’t believe it ❤️ Measuring 9+3 (I’m 9+6 by my dates and was bang on for nhs) but the sonographer said this is absolutely nothing to worry about as at this stage dates can be a week out either way due to equipment etc. I still have the haematoma which should explain the bleeding.. baby was super wriggly, which she said they’re not often so active at this stage so that was really reassuring too!

Houseelf90 · 04/03/2023 16:42

Congratulations @Blueskies4, I’m so pleased for you 🥰

Littleheart5 · 04/03/2023 19:43

Fab news @Blueskies4 ! That’s great for you

HopefulBee · 04/03/2023 19:57

@Blueskies4 Yay! So nice to see a wriggly baby right? Congratulations on your positive scan ☺️.

Astar21 · 04/03/2023 21:22

@Blueskies4 yay amazing news 💓 congratulations!

Astar21 · 04/03/2023 21:28

@Houseelf90 and @HopefulBee yes it sounds like it's pretty normal for the nausea to start easing off! I've been so tired and irritable all day 😩 Plus have noticed a real heightened sense of smell, especially food and people's clothes/perfume! Oh the joys 😂
