Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

Hi ladies, I just wanted to pop a little message on in the hope that I can offer a little reassurance. After previous early losses, I had a successful IVF round and am currently 17 weeks with a little boy. I've had scans at 6+3 (when we saw our 7mm bean), 8 weeks, 10 weeks (due to red bleeding, for which they could find no cause), 12 weeks and 16 weeks. I was terrified from the minute I saw the positive test that it would result in loss. It didn't help that I've had 0 sickness, 0 nausea, 0 symptoms in general. I did have the tiniest bit of tiredness but you do wonder if you're imagining it. At 17 weeks, with an unmistakeable bump and feeling occasional flutters, I still don't 'feel' pregnant 😂I suppose the point of my message is just to say hang in there, it's easy to feel overcome by negativity and feeling like it's not going to happen.... but it can 💙good luck with your pregnancies x

Thanks so much @maybebaby2023 what a lovely message

Astar21 · 15/02/2023 10:38

@maybebaby2023 this was so lovely to read this morning 🤍 thank you ✨ And all the best for your pregnancy and rainbow baby boy x

Houseelf90 · 15/02/2023 10:54

@maybebaby2023 thank you so much for posting 💙 it’s so reassuring to hear from someone who has been through what we have and is now further along and can share a positive story! I hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and that your little boy is happy and healthy once he arrives 🥰🌈

Feeling more positive after a good night's sleep. Seeing a heartbeat is always good and it's really difficult to accurately measure at this stage anyway so nothing I can do until the next scan.

Blueskies4 · 15/02/2023 12:47

@maybebaby2023 congratulations and what a lovely message xx

Blueskies4 · 15/02/2023 12:50

@Vwswimmer1 just read your update now.. hoping it goes quickly to your next scan and you’re feeling ok lovely. Heartbeat is super positive xx

I am so so sorry for those of you who have experienced losses. All of us here know how you are feeling and how dark those days are after a miscarriage. Take care of yourselves and know we are all sending our thoughts and support. xx

Vwswimmer1 · 15/02/2023 16:23

Think I forget everyday how sick I feel from about 3.30 🤢 need to be more productive in the mornings 😂

Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 16:49

Hi everyone! Just wondering if I can join ♥️ have been following but a bit too nervous to post until I had my 12 week scan. Baby wriggling and healthy 🌈♥️ doesn't seem real but trying to keep positive and not let my mind run crazy. I had a mmc in June, so finding it hard to trust that everything is well because I had no symptoms with the last. Glad to see so many positive scans and so sorry that we've all been through this shared experience ♥️

Houseelf90 · 16/02/2023 18:12

Welcome @Rainbowmamma23
Congratulations on your 12 week scan! That must have been a relief!

Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 18:21

@Houseelf90 thank you! 🥰 it really was! I kept telling myself beforehand not to get excited etc just incase but the sigh of relief 😅 so sweet xx

Passenger87 · 16/02/2023 18:39

Welcome @Rainbowmamma23 12 weeks is a great milestone =)

Houseelf90 · 16/02/2023 19:01

@Rainbowmamma23 I had an early scan last weekend and that’s exactly how I felt beforehand! Just before we got there I started to get really nervous and my other half thought I was nervous about the internal scan and gave me a lecture about how I need to get used to people looking down there!! He felt bad when I told him why I was nervous lol!

Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 19:17

@Houseelf90 oh man he's brave!!! It's grim isn't it, I think your body remembers and your mind remembers and it's just a lot! ♥️ keep waiting for the shoe to drop, but feeling slightly more comfortable each day

Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 19:17

@Passenger87 thanks lovely!♥️

Blueskies4 · 16/02/2023 21:04

@Rainbowmamma23 welcome and congratulations on your 12 week scan 🤗

Houseelf90 · 16/02/2023 21:23

@Rainbowmamma23 it just sucks all the joy out of pregnancy doesn’t it! I am starting to relax as I’m the furthest now I’ve ever got (3rd time lucky 🤞🏼) and I think once I’ve had a 12 week scan I’ll be happier (as long as it’s good news!) but not sure are what point you actually relax and enjoy it!

Astar21 · 16/02/2023 21:49

Welcome @Rainbowmamma23 🌈 that's great you've had a positive 12 week scan. Can't wait for mine now, 3 weeks to go!

Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 22:31

@Astar21 thank you!🥰

Rainbowmamma23 · 16/02/2023 22:33

@Houseelf90 hope everything goes well 🍀♥️🌈 yeah I know! I thought it would be 12 weeks, and I do feel a shift in the right direction. I think the next one for me will be feeling movements! Little by little I guess! It's such a trauma to have gone through, to unlearn though isn't it! Lots of babydust and good vibes to all of the growing peanuts xxx

Houseelf90 · 17/02/2023 20:57

Heard from my midwife earlier and I have my booking in appointment next Tuesday!

Hows everyone feeling?

HopefulBee · 18/02/2023 06:38

@Rainbowmamma23 welcome and congrats on making it to 12 weeks! I can’t wait to be at that point and start to tell people. ❤️

@Houseelf90 Ive had some worse days again with the nausea, maybe because I’m somewhere around 8-9 weeks now. Hoping it will get a bit better again before the week starts as it’s been difficult with work. Am also exhausted and going to bed around 8 every night 🙈.

I have another reassurance scan on Wednesday and really looking forward to it. I’m sure I’ll be nervous again but I’m curious if baby still measures ahead. So far I’m still going by my ovulation dates rather than the scan. So happy for you that you have your booking in appointment coming up. I’m not in the UK - what do they do at that appointment? Will you have a scan too?

Houseelf90 · 18/02/2023 07:07

@HopefulBee I’ve had bad nausea and fatigue this week too! Yesterday was my day off work and besides a couple of loads of washing I literally laid on the sofa all day which is very unlike me!
My booking in appt is a phone one, but some people do go in person. I believe they mainly ask questions about you and the baby’s father, any concerns etc, and then you get a scan around 12 weeks!

Rainbowmamma23 · 18/02/2023 07:54

@HopefulBee thank you ♥️

Hope all goes well in your scan! I did one at 8, 10 and 12 weeks because I just couldn't quite believe it. Still not sank in fully but I am trying to make myself believe it! Have been trying to rub my belly and talk to the baby lol
