Due September 2023 after miscarriage 🌈

Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

@Astar21 I’m only 6+5 so I guess there’s plenty of time yet. I’ll check if there’s a community midwife number and if I’ve not heard anything in the next week I’ll give them a call 😊 thank you!

I seem to remember a couple of ladies having scans today. But my memory isn’t great. 🤦🏻‍♀️

@CaliGirl47 you remembered right 🙂I'm having mine at EPU at 4 pm. So so nervous. The spotting has reduced, but still getting a hint of brown when wiping, but no where as near as what it was like over the weekend. So hope it's all ok in there. I'll update you girls later X

Thanks so much everyone ❤️ all went ok with the scan. Baby was dancing about it was so sweet! Nurse didn't really know the cause of spotting, thinks it's possibly due to the cyclogest pessaries I'm on. Nothing was picked up from the scan. I can relax for a bit now. What a rollercoaster this whole journey is!

I'm struggling today. Have had some stretching or something feelings and sore boobs but don't really trust it. I've been thinking about my past due dates...one of them is coming up in a few weeks and I just kept saying to myself before that I really hope I'm pregnant when it comes but I just don't think I will be.

My scan is not until next Thursday @Passenger87

@BEL88 it's so hard not to feel anxious. Could be everything stretching? Ive had a few twinges here and there. And hate it when I sneeze 😂 I tried not to focus too much on my due dates last year, I tried to just let them pass me by so I didn't get too upset. Stay positive x

@Astar21 interesting that you mention sneezing….I keep meaning to ask if it’s normal to get a sharp pain when I sneeze and sometimes when I cough?! Is that what you’re getting?

Just to say that my scan today also went well (so pleased for you @Tinkerbell098 !). Little tiny tiny bean measuring 6+3 (which is what I expected as I thought I'd ovulated a few days later than usual last cycle due to my MC in December). I was so prepared for bad news (I told the sonographer that I was expecting her to have to break bad news - I felt like I wanted her to know it was ok to tell me there was an issue). It felt genuinely magical to hear that tiny heartbeat after genuinely expecting nothing to be there. Very early days still and so not counting any chickens but at least today was a good day.

I’ve feel so nervous this morning it’s making me feel nauseous. My scan is quite early at 9:30 so hubby is coming with me for support. I just keep thinking about last time I was at that hospital with my mc in November.😢 I’m really hoping and praying that things will be different this time. 🙏🏻

Mine is on the 14th so I'm trying not to get too stressed out before then.

I've booked another private scan between now and my 12 week scan to provide some more reassurance. The scan place is good that subsequent assurance scans are only £39 so it makes it much more affordable to slip an extra one in. Still a few weeks to wait though.

@Vwswimmer1 the 14th will come around quickly I hope.

@Houseelf90 /@Astar21 I also get sharp pains when sneezing. I had found if I can manage to hold lightly in the spot it hurts before I sneeze it seems to hold my muscles in place and the pain is lessened. At the beginning (& I know it is completely illogical) I was convinced I was going to sneeze the baby out. It has made that a little less worrisome now I have managed to limit the pain a little.

@pinkpirlie ahh thats reassuring that it’s not just me, thank you!! I’ll try holding the area and see if that helps 😊
