Due September 2023 after miscarriage 🌈

Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

@CaliGirl47 thanks lovely ❤️ EPU are seeing me on Tuesday. It's still brown at the moment so I'm hoping it'll stay that way.

@Furbabymum15 I'm so sorry you're going through this. That's appalling that EPU won't see you. Three pads an hour? That's their threshold? So so bad! Glad you've got support and doggy cuddles. Please take care of yourself X

@Houseelf90 glad your cat is home safe. That's a relief!

Yes apparently I'm irrelevant I'm just going to sit it out and call my gp on Monday xx

Unfortunately I started bleeding last week and EPU have confirmed MC. I'll be taking a break before trying again.

So sorry to hear of the people who are having miscarriages again, it's so shit.

I've had some spotting and cramping so not feeling very confident myself really. Booked a scan for 14th Feb so shall see what happens between now and then. Just feel like the world is very unfair to us all.

@Houseelf90 I am glad your cat found its way home! Hope you can sleep more easily and that this helps with the stress levels.

Anyone else have a scan coming up next week? I have mine late on Wednesday, first reassurance scan. Am starting to get nervous but also can’t wait.

I’m feeling the same @HopefulBee I really wish you all the best for your scan. I’ll be thinking of you. 💓 My scan was supposed to be this Tuesday at the Tommy’s miscarriage clinic but apparently the nurses are on strike 🫠 so they’ve moved it to Wednesday morning instead. I should be 7+4 by then, so I’m really hoping for good news and a heartbeat to be seen. But the nerves and anxiety are still there. Since I saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks in my last pregnancy and that still ended in mmc 😢 ……….but I’m trying to be hopeful and tell myself: “different pregnancy, different baby, different outcome…..”

I’ve just booked a private scan for next Saturday. I should be 7+3 by then but am preparing myself that I’ve just jinxed it and will start bleeding this week!

I’ve had a bit of brown spotting this morning and your heart just drops doesn’t it, the worst feeling. What an awful thing to have in common with people but good to have the support of a group who know exactly what you’re going through x

To the ladies who have had cervical bleeding may I ask what the bleeding was like. I had a heavy bleed yesterday morning on the toilet while I was trying to poo. There was quite a lot of red blood and dripping from me to the toilet. When I wiped there was a few lumps. The bleeding then stopped and I've not had any cramping or pain. I'm convinced it's the start of the end but just curious incase it was my cervix as I'm on progesterone pessaries xx

@Furbabymum15 hope you're okay. That's good you're not in pain and its stopped. Often with MC bleeding it gets heavier quite quickly (my 2nd one did). I had some spotting after a bowel movement at 5w but it was just pink when I wiped, then stopped. I'm on progesterone too, not had any irritation, but I've heard it can happen if you have a sensitive cervix.

@Furbabymum15 it wasn’t diagnosed in terms of what caused it, but at 6/7 weeks with my daughter I had a bleed which was bright red (filled the bowl with the redness) and everything was ok. crossing my fingers you’re the same xx

Short update that I had a scan today at what I thought was about 6+4, and I'm measuring 6+0. Hopefully nothing to worry about (of course I'm immediately worried 😅). On the plus side, baby is in the right place and I saw a strong heartbeat.

Hoping everyone else is doing okay, this is so unbelieveably tough! @Furbabymum15 have you had any luck getting through to the EPU for an appointment?

@localbunny that's amazing news you saw baby and heartbeat 💓 At my scan last week I thought I was 7w2d but measured 6w6d, which makes sense as I know I ovulated late. So could be the same?

I had some brownish/pink spotting in pregnancy with DD and they never 100% explained the cause of it. But I was later told in that pregnancy that I had an ectropian on my cervix and it can be common in pregnancy. That was most likely the cause of my spotting. I never had a large amount of blood. Is it possible it could be a sub-chorionic hematoma? Maybe EPU or GP could advise you? I’m sorry for what you’re going through. Hopefully it’s a good sign that there is no pain or cramping. 🙏🏻

So glad your scan went well and a nice strong heartbeat was seen @localbunny 💓🌈

@Astar21 @Blueskies4 @localbunny @CaliGirl47 thanks ladies I'm so confused they said all looked fine at my scan on Friday measuring behind at 7+1 but should be 9 wks today which worried me then that heavy bleed Saturday. EPU won't see me so I'm hoping the recurrent miscarriage will help me tomoz x

@Furbabymum15 that's great the bleeding's stopped and there's no pain. My spotting been quite light so can't comment on that. But I do know when I miscarried last time, the bleeding didn't really help and I had heavy cramping, so yours sounds different. Everything crossed for you and hope you get some answers tomorrow X
