Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

Hi 😊
I’ve now had 2 nights of “morning” sickness, 11pm last night and 10pm the night before! Not ideal but I guess it’s better than “morning” as it doesn’t delay me getting out the house for work!
My nipples are still sore, but my hiccups have lessened quite a lot, hoping that’s not meaning bad news is on the way 🤞🏼
Still debating the private scan - I would like to have one but getting time is going to be an issue as partner would want to come, but he works evenings and then we will have his children next weekend when I would be 6+ weeks so that’s proving a little bit difficult! I guess if needs be I will book a morning off work so we can go before he starts!

Thanks for asking @Passenger87 and sorry to hear about your limbo situation. That’s the worst isn’t it? Crossing my fingers for tomorrow! And also wishing the best for you @Mannymoomin - hope you can get some answers soon.

@Tinkerbell098 and @Goneaboutthiswrong - what great news! So happy for you both!

I still have 13 days to go until my early scan and it’s really dragging. I have been having burning pain in my right lower back which is freaking me out - anyone have that before? It might be ligament or muscle pain but due to Dr Google I’m now scared it an ectopic. Other than that, I’ve been feeling pretty queasy since yesterday. An all day long queasiness whether I’m hungry or full. Have never been so glad to feel bad ever 😅. Still isn’t giving me enough confidence to feel everything is ok though.

How’s everyone else feeling?

Mannymoomin · 26/01/2023 14:09

BEL88 · 27/01/2023 08:31

Sorry to hear this @Mannymoomin look after yourself x

@Passenger87 good luck for today

I've done a digital at 5+5 and got 2-3 weeks :( I've got a scan on Thursday so we'll see what's going on. I know the threshold for 3+ is so wide but still just wish it would move up. I guess it means I don't get too excited and can prepare for the worst next week

Vwswimmer1 · 27/01/2023 10:12

I had some light brown discharge this morning so now really worrying. Makes it more difficult because I'm on cyclogest so I wouldn't get much bleeding if there was anything wrong.

I won't go to our EPU unless absolutely necessary due to really bad previous experiences but might try get an earlier scan with my consultant, just don't want it too early and then be inconclusive ☹️ such a minefield of emotions.

Tinkerbell098 · 27/01/2023 10:33

@Passenger87 good luck today! Thinking of you X

@Vwswimmer1 have you got any pains or just the light spotting? I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it gets painful and you get clots etc. Fingers crossed it stops and was just a random discharge. I think cylcogest can irritate a bit, so it's not uncommon to have a bit of spotting.

Tinkerbell098 · 27/01/2023 10:35

@BEL88 I've read so many posts regarding the CB digital, that it never progressed to 3+ and they've had healthy pregnancies. I never tested beyond getting 2-3 for that reason. It's just added anxiety. Not long to go for the scan now, hang in there!

Vwswimmer1 · 27/01/2023 10:55

Thanks @Tinkerbell098 only light cramping that I've had the whole time, generally for a bit of time after having the cyclogest. 🤞🏼 It's nothing, trying not to worry too much as I know that won't change anything, it's just difficult isn't it 😔

Luna57 · 27/01/2023 14:04

@Vwswimmer1 are you using cyclogest vaginally? It could be irritating your cervix. You could try rectal and see if it stops. When I was miscarrying on cyclogest my light bleeds at the beginning was always bright red. Fingers crossed!

Passenger87 · 27/01/2023 15:03

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies.

Just got my results - 550 - so a 70% increase in 48 hours. Its enough they feel happy it's not ectopic.

I have to go back for another scan next Wednesday to see what they can see. Hcg still seems low and very slow to increase so I'm keeping my guard up.

CaliGirl47 · 27/01/2023 15:36

Hi @Passenger87 I hope you are okay. How are you feeling about it all? I’m glad that the team looking after you are happy that you don’t have an ectopic pregnancy. That must be a relief. I completely understand you keeping your heart guarded as regards the pregnancy.

Were they able to see much on the scan? Glad to hear you have another scan next week. Let’s hope baby has a big growth spurt between now and then. 🤞🏻

Passenger87 · 27/01/2023 15:48

@CaliGirl47 I don't really know where my head is at. DH is happy. I feel reluctant to get my hopes up.

They opted not to do a scan this morning until they got the numbers back. I suppose they are still quite low so maybe won't see anything yet?

I want this so badly but my history with both pregnancy, labour and loss is pretty chequered.

How are you feeling?

Vwswimmer1 · 27/01/2023 16:40

@Luna57 thanks, that's good advice. I've also been trying to Google whether you would still bleed on cyclogest but it sounds like from your experience you do. Just got to cross my fingers.

R184 · 27/01/2023 17:12

Just wanted to post and say - I put a post on here at the beginning of the week about being 7 weeks pregnant my symptoms stopping. I went for a scan today and all is well and baby is growing and measuring perfectly, with a healthy heartbeat. A slight relief, but after a mmc last year the anxiety is still looming.

Vwswimmer1 · 27/01/2023 17:22

@R184 so glad your scan was okay 🥰 it's given me a bit of hope x

Goneaboutthiswrong · 27/01/2023 18:10

The same thing happened to me and the brown discharge lasted 48 hours or so, but I went for a scan a day after it stopped and everything was ok! I’m also on cyclogest (back door not front door lol)
Hope the spotting stops soon, sending love x
