Due September 2023 after miscarriage 🌈

Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

Well I took another test today with fmu, which was quite a bit fainter than yesterday’s. Accepted that it’s probably a CP and then stupidly took another test this afternoon with the tiniest dribble I could manage and now it’s about the same as yesterday’s test.
Bleeding has stopped now, although after a BM it seems to go pink again

@CaliGirl47 thanks for the well wishes. The scan went well, managed to see the little one's heartbeat, which was magical.

For anyone worried about lack of symptoms, I have none at 7+3, but baby's fine with a strong heartbeat. Hope this has reassured you a little bit X

Hi ladies, I've been silently following this thread and am delighted to delurk after a positive early reassurance scan at EPAU yesterday 😊 based on my period, I was 7 weeks 1 day, but the scan dated me at 8 weeks 3 days. Which matches almost exactly the dates I expected from when I actually ovulate! Which is a due date of 2nd September. Just keeping everything crossed that this little bean stays stuck!

Not super news. They couldn't see anything in uterus, but they do believe they saw a structure on my ovary.

Bloods have been drawn, should get those results this afternoon, then another draw and scan in 48hours.

Either way it doesn't look good.

I’m so sorry to hear that @Passenger87 😔 It’s good to hear that they are looking after you a giving you the acre you deserve. Is it at all possible that it’s just too early? Hopefully the blood tests will shed more light on the situation. I’m so sorry that you are going through this. 💔 Hang in there. 💓

@CaliGirl47 maybe, hcg was only 360 which seems low for 5w+3. But again could explain why they couldn't see anything.

But I suppose I'm nervous with my history.

@Passenger87 so sorry to hear this, hopefully it is just too early to see anything and the structure is the corpus luteum.

I really hope your blood tests make things clearer for you, take care of yourself, the unknown is horrible xx

How are you doing? @Mannymoomin has the bleeding eased off for you at all?

@CaliGirl47 I haven’t bled now since Monday, I am still testing positive but fmu is quite faint, saying that, yesterday’s fmu was faint too but in the evening it was a strong positive 🤷‍♀️ I don’t know, I think CP, the bleeding started at exactly 5weeks and my tests were never strong positives to begin with so I haven’t the foggiest.
All previous pregnancies and mc my tests were always really strong positives that gradually got lighter, but because I didn’t start off with strong positives I can’t work it out

I’ve just tested on a CB digi with a 1 hour hold and still getting 1-2 weeks.
the bleeding with clots started 4 days ago now, being so early I would’ve expected it to be negative already.

@Mannymoomin I think I was about 5+3 with my first CP and the day I started spotting I did a CB digital and a CB weeks indicator and both showed ‘Not Pregnant’ so I think that’s a good sign you are still getting weeks showing!! How far along do you think you are?

I don’t know if I should be excited or upset at this point.
Im fully prepared for tests to go negative or bleeding to start up again before the weeks out though, as shit as that is, at least I’d know for definite

@Mannymoomin its horrible when you’re in limbo isn’t it. I remember with my second one which was around 4+3, after I started bleeding I had a faint line and then EPU told me to test again when I should be 6 weeks and then call them back. I knew it was another CP by the bleeding and the much fainter line but them telling you to test again at 6 weeks really gives you a bit of false hope!!! You just have to cling onto the fact you’re still getting strong tests and pray for the best!!

I’m so sorry to hear that you are stuck in limbo. @Mannymoomin ☹️That is a most confusing conundrum. Especially the CB digital, as the threshold for those tests is considered much higher than a frer. I do hope you’re able to start getting some answers as you near 6 weeks. I would definitely start pushing the local EPU after 6 weeks and really lay it on strong that you are concerned it could even be an ectopic or pregnancy of unknown location. They have a duty to check you with your bleeding.

GP also rang me yesterday for a chat which was a nice surprise, think she thought I was really posh when I said I'd booked a private scan and asked if I had a private midwife... 🤨

Still no changes my end. Tomorrow I will be 6 weeks. I have now spoke to my doctor and been referred to the midwife so waiting to hear from them.

3 days now until my private scan. Counting down the days to be out of this limbo.

@Mannymoomin really hope you get some answers soon. It must be so stressful to not know what's happening.

@Vwswimmer1 hope your scan goes well too. I didn't mention to the doctor I was going for a private scan, but she had said if I have any bleeding to call back and they will refer me to EPAU (you cannot self refer where I live unfortunately).
