I bought few knitted wool dresses in few sizes up and it does tge trick very well.

MountainLaurel7 · 17/03/2023 10:01

@habiller I'm also feeling pretty done with the emotional ups and downs. I feel guilty because I seem to be having the easiest time but dang I spent so long focusing on getting pregnant that I didn't even think about whether it would be a good time or not😅 And it's not lol. I'm thinking if I have to have a c-section I'll ask them to tie my tubes while they're at it, it's been real but I'm already tired of this at 20+5, I can imagine doing this ever again😂

MountainLaurel7 · 17/03/2023 10:09

@Hjudge56 Definately feeling huge, luckily I usually wear a bunch of mens XL t-shirts so I'm not worried about them getting too tight for a while, but I feel like my walk has started to slowly turn into a waddle. Also not maternity clothes but I find nurse pants/scrubs to be pretty good with space in the stomache area and they have a tie to prevent sliding down, just need to wear a sweater that hugs under the bump if you want to show.

leanneb94 · 17/03/2023 10:41

@MountainLaurel7 I feel you on the not having a good time. Feel like everything I could get pregnancy related I've had, from awful sickness now to awful back and hip pain at only 22+5! Feel better now the sickness has gone and I've managed to get my heartburn and reflux under control but honestly most days just feel fed up!

rach971 · 17/03/2023 10:54

@Hjudge56 First photo was taken somewhere around 11-12 weeks time. Last photo is from two days ago (20+5) 🥰

Rutennotou · 17/03/2023 21:09

@habiller Pregnancy is really tough, my hormones are all over the place too x

Ive woke up the past two mornings with awful hip pain. I was hoping to avoid it this time round 🙃 Currently 24+4. I've been out all day with family for St Patrick's Day and thinking about bed already 😂😂

Hi everyone.

Bump photo sharing time - the first time anyone except my DH has seen my tummy without clothes 🤣
First photo was taken the week after my 12 week scan, so must have been about 13+2, my DH had started to notice I was getting a bit if a bump. Second photo was taken last week at 23+4. I feel huge and guilty. I cover up ALL the time. Everyone says they would never know I was pregnant. I really hate my body at the minute. I think it's because I've gone from a flat stomach to obviously now not having a flat stomach. My clothes don't fit and I hate feeling this way about my body. DH keeps telling me I should to be embracing the baby bump and how amazing it is- it's our first baby and I think he just wants to show him off to the world. It's really hard and I hope I start to love my bump soon!

Hope you're all okay. I've been awake since 3 💤💤

Happy Mothers Day 💕

Had mine someone spoiled by an unbearable toothache that I can't really take anything for. I have a midwife appointment in the morning and then I'll be calling the dentist. I'm terrified of the dentist but I'm in tears with the pain.

pizzawinecake · 20/03/2023 11:49

Oh gosh this morning I'm in tears watching married at first sight Australia. Bloody hormones.

Hi all,

So I really seem to have 'popped' today. I feel and now look huge 🤣 my bump is really hard though, is this normal? Should it be hard?

MountainLaurel7 · 23/03/2023 02:27

@AnxiousAnnie94 Can't say if it's nornal but can say that mine is exactly the same! Bump is hard as if I'm extremely bloated but I feel normal. Bizarre experience for sure.

@habiller It's crazy but I had a similar scan experience, my first pregnancy was a blighted ovum, and this time it's still the same room, bed and technician. I've never forgotten her name, and laying there in the quiet felt like travelling back in time. I can't tell if I was more shocked getting bad news the first time or good news the second, it's like your expectations completely reverse. But hey, we've all come so far now, we're either almost at viability week or there already! Even though I won't stop worrying until after birth, hope feels a lot stronger now than it was a few weeks ago.

AnxiousAnnie94 · 23/03/2023 04:59

@MountainLaurel7 , same! I feel 'normal', just with a hard, bloated feeling massive bump 🤣
Will keep an eye, but more reassuring to know it's not just me with the hard tummy haha

BackOfTheMum5net · 23/03/2023 07:00

Week 24 and I have popped! Baby is proving a right little fidget, and on Sunday night he kicked hard with for Spouse to feel!

This week’s task is to work out what I actually want from maternity leave… wish me luck…

PinkPink1 · 23/03/2023 10:55

Has anyone’s boobs got super big in the second trimester? They’ve gone up at least a cup size. Maybe more. I’m wearing maternity crop top bras. I’m not used to having big boobs. I think that accounts for most of my weight gain - as well as the small bump! I was slightly underweight when I found out I was pregnant.

Rutennotou · 23/03/2023 13:21

My bump is very obvious but it has been for a while 🤣 Felt different this morning though, I think she may have moved further back.

Currently on antibiotics for a tooth abscess. Had 3 nights of terrible sleep but was only awake between 4:30 and 5am this morning, a couple of paracetamol helped and back to sleep so hopefully the antibiotics are working. I had to take cocodomal for a couple of days and even then it only took the edge off for a couple of hours. Felt so guilty as I'm trying to avoid everything but I felt like I was losing my mind with the pain and was told it would be okay in the short term.

Toddler DD has a cough and has infected the whole house 🥲

rach971 · 23/03/2023 13:23

My boobs did start getting bigger but I swear they've shrank a bit... 😂

Been spending my morning trying to sort out a nursery place for when baby is about 8 months old. Mad how far in advance you have to sort these things 🙈

My boobs are huge now! But I was tiny at the start of my pregnancy. Bmi below 18. Maybe that’s why?

rach971 · 23/03/2023 13:35

@PinkPink1 Possibly. I think my BMI was 21 from memory. My boobs didn't grow much in my first pregnancy either though

I have started to look in London now for nurseries - it seems there is a 12 month waitlist at quite of the few them! x

RandomCatGenerator · 23/03/2023 17:52

On growing boobs - yep, mine are colossal. I was an F cup already and bras are feeling quite tight and uncomfortable; can’t wait to take my bra off after a day in the office or out. For those on the larger end of the spectrum like myself I can recommend Bravissimo bralettes. Supportive and stretchy, they give you a bit more space for things to get bigger and smaller. My experience was that during breastfeeding my boobs got even bigger…

Thanks for the heads up on nurseries. It feels like bad luck to book a place for a baby who doesn’t exist in the world yet…

Maybe that’s just me though. Still really struggling with my mental health. Perinatal mental health team have been quite good however - although I had to hit almost rock bottom for them to start engaging.

@Rutennotou that sounds horrendous, poor you! Hope your tooth gets better. Don’t feel guilty - stress is actually very bad for foetuses so better that you’re dealing with the problem so you can be stress and pains free even if it means a short blast of antibiotics x
