Hey hope everyone is ok! Had my 20 week scan today and all is perfect, she did the close up of his face and we saw his lips and nose! Our actual scan photo is upside down as he was laid upside down with his legs crossed at the ankles and arm behind his head chilling 😂

Totally exhausted here too the last few days, work has been quite intense which perhaps isn’t helping but honestly feel I can barely keep my eyes open by the afternoon!

rach971 · 09/02/2023 19:29

I have an anterior placenta and I'm only 15+5 but I swear I've been feeling something the last two days. Doesn't feel like flutters though, feels like something actually moving around. I kept thinking I'd felt flutters a few times, and then my tummy made a noise everytime, so it was just wind/gas then 😂 But this time there's no obvious gassy symptoms, just feels like something moving around. I know it can't be baby yet though, especially with an anterior placenta. Confusing!

MamaSJ15 · 09/02/2023 20:24

Anterior placenta here too. I'm 17+1 and I don't feel much, at least not regularly. I've started feeling little flutters but I know it's harder to feel movement when the placenta is at the front. I can definitely feel something, I'm just looking forward to it being more defined.
Also eating all the snacks 😂 can't help it haha.

MamaSJ15 · 09/02/2023 16:19

@PinkPink1 have you been tested for anaemia? This can make you feel very tired, may need some extra iron. I needed extra in my first pregnancy but so far all good in this one!

I was fine pre-pregnancy, but maybe things have changed! I’d take iron tablets but the multivitamins that contain it make me constipated 😳

MountainLaurel7 · 09/02/2023 21:27

Back of the line here at 15+4, was told at my last OB appointment that my placentas are so far posterior but that can change, will only know for sure at my anatomy scan on March 25th, so ages away lol. I do have occasional sensations but still can't say for sure if they're movement as no prior experience in this regard. Also found out the genders through my nipt which was luckily low risk, didn't dare ask the actual odds as I know I couldn't possibly resist obsessing endlessly about them😅. It turns out I'm having 2 girls! In regards to bump size, due to being very overweight I can only really check the size by lying on my back in the morning before I've eaten and slightly sucking in my upper abdomen. Sometimes it's smaller, sometimes it's lopsided, but I think this is based on how I slept honestly. It was smaller the day I spent longer on my back, so I don't think there's a reason to worry about size changes between days.

dunkedbiscuit · 09/02/2023 21:35

@MountainLaurel7 eeek! 2 girls! That’s so exciting 😍

Rutennotou · 09/02/2023 23:11

I've only taken one antibiotic so far and feeling a lot better already! Been prescribed nitrofurantoin this time and the bright yellow wee caught me off guard 😂.

Have my 20 week scan tomorrow, both excited and nervous!

MamaSJ15 · 10/02/2023 07:42

@PinkPink1 pregnancy can really effect your iron levels cause baby is taking a lot for their development. That's why it's so important to take the vitamins that contain iron. I'd recommend you take them to be honest, I'm also suffering with constipation but trying to find ways around it cause I'm trying to avoid having to take any extra iron other than what's in the vitamins.

RandomCatGenerator · 10/02/2023 12:47

Is anyone else having extreme mood swings? Any ideas what to do about it?

Sometines I feel fine. Other times I just feel crushingly sad and so hopeless I can barely move.

I am on antidepressants already.

@RandomCatGenerator Im generally okay with my moods, except I'm having a proper crap day in work so I'm in a foul mood 🙈
I'm sorry I can't help but I do hope you're feeling okay ❤️

babybrainfart · 10/02/2023 14:47

Yes, struggling with mood swings and I see red. I've snapped at my partner a few times and told him to F off when it really was warranted. I'm also so tearful all the time.

babybrainfart · 10/02/2023 14:51

I'm taking spatone which is an iron drink. It's not too bad as it's apple flavour but does have a metallic after taste which is goes as soon as you drink something else. It's not made me constipated tbh, but I did have a bit of a funny tummy during this pregnancy until I started taking it, so it's actually done me a favour firming it up

MountainLaurel7 · 10/02/2023 14:52

@dunkedbiscuit Thanks, I'm excited but also terrified lol, first timer so I'm gonna have a hell of a time😅

Rutennotou · 10/02/2023 14:54

Aww @RandomCatGenerator I know what you mean. I'm not on anything ATM but do have a history of depression and anxiety. I had a terrible couple of weeks there but think its just hormones. Keeping an eye on it though. Do speak to your midwife if you need to though, it's very common in pregnancy to have these feelings. Hope you're okay xx

Had my 20 week scan today and all is good. Asked them to double check the sex and yup, definitely a girl 😂. Here's her wee feet x

BackOfTheMum5net · 10/02/2023 17:45

I'm just crying at everything - good things and bad things. Usually I'm quite stonefaced so I'm just accepting it as par for the course.

Leezo · 10/02/2023 19:54

Yup mood swings galore here. Had a full scale argument in the street with a 'lady' who complained about my parking earlier and I turned into a complete dragon!! In fairness, in the cold light of day and calmed hormones, I am still right, but 'non-'pregnant, I would have never lost my rag like that! Tearful, a bit down and seriously short fuse - only 22 more weeks to go......

Congrats on your scan. I just cried at your baby feet!!😭🤣

dunkedbiscuit · 10/02/2023 20:49

@Rutennotou ohhh those little feet!!

Littlegoth · 11/02/2023 06:57

Catching up on the thread, lots of us moving! I moved from Yorkshire to Lancashire about 3 weeks ago, at the peak of my morning sickness, which wasn’t fun! Glad we did it though, we are close to friends and family now, and now most of the boxes are gone and things are finding their places I’m really glad we did. Good luck to everyone facing boxes and bubble wrap 😊

dunkedbiscuit · 11/02/2023 08:49

@Littlegoth wow that was hardcore! So pleased you are getting settled now

MountainLaurel7 · 11/02/2023 17:26

Has anyone noticed fluids coming from their breasts yet? Maybe because I've been messing with the dry skin I've gotten the past few weeks, but today I noticed a tiny amount of clear fluid from my right breast and was wondering if anyone else had this happen?

mumma2oneDD · 11/02/2023 19:00

@MountainLaurel7 how many weeks pregnant are you? Is this your first?
I started leaking milk at 20 weeks in my first pregnancy but apparently you can start leaking from 16 weeks!

Porcupette · 11/02/2023 19:29

Hi everyone, can I join in? My original due date was 6th august but they bought it forward to 29th July at my 12 week scan, so I’m just about in the July group! 16 weeks today and feel okay apart from just exhausted!
