Here’s a new thread for the upcoming new year.

I think we’ve got all due dates covered now but newbies are still of course most welcome. We’re a friendly, chatty bunch so do feel free to join in.

@SnowL2021 I'm still awaiting my date for 12 week scan! I wish I could have my own machine and was trained to check heartbeats 😂 I feel like I need weekly reassurance, but I've no choice but to persevere seeing as I just had a scan on Sunday 🙈

@PumpkinEverything my boobs are not even sore one bit! They stopped being sore about a week ago and I have a bit more energy today and haven't really been nauseous yet!! Even though all was good with scan 2 days ago, I'm anxious again 😂 but I'm now 10+2 so maybe symptoms are gradually going as things progress? That's what I'm trying to tell myself anyway!

So... we haven't discussed twins..
my friends having twins.. was one baby present at 6 week scan.. 2 babies at 13 week nhs scan

None in her family now I'm scared 😂

@LMM91x I did love the idea but with an ASD 3 y/o... I think I'd end up going insane 🤣

@sally16 noooo don’t say that! I made the sonographer check at my 7+3 scan. Hoping one hasn’t appeared by then 🤣
Always said I’d love twins, it’s just the childcare costs that would make working pointless 😅

@sally16 am I naive to not realise that could happen 🤣.

@Amme18 im extremely lucky my work lets me pick my shift pattern so I'm already panicking a bit for after this mat leave as I would need a childminder before school for DS and a nursery for new baby.. so trying to aim for costa to be set to a Friday already 😂

@Sjw30 im shitting myself for my scan on 15th now.. keep staring at the EPU one and it does look like a smudge above baby and now I'm over thinking a poor quality image 🤣

@sally16 i have heard of that happening! For some reason I thought I was having twins and was obviously delighted to see one baby with a heartbeat on my 6 week scan but part of me did slightly think ‘awk its not twins’.. suppose it still could be 😊

Just been out for lunch with friends and one of them is going to be trying to conceive this year. She’s been sooo open about it and was saying how much her MIL has been asking for a grandchild etc. I was internally laughing that the whole conversation was focused around this future potential child she’ll have, while I’m getting off scot-free sitting there pregnant 😂 it’s almost easier when people are openly talking about it because you then don’t feel you need to avoid the conversation!

@Mulner88 i think it’s so common for symptoms to ease from 8 weeks onwards, and I know it is, but it’s still not helping my brain 😂 I can’t believe I’m 10 weeks tomorrow 😱

I just got my 12 week scan date! Tuesday 17th January at 14.20. Eeeek. If my private scan dates are accurate, I'll be bang on 12 weeks on that day.

@Mulner88 jealous! My booking app isn’t til Sunday when I’m 10+1 and the referrral to hosp for scan won’t be done until then. Hoping it comes through quick!

@Amme18 I didn't get a letter or anything. I was concerned when I didn't hear anything so I just called them up this pm and they gave me that date. God knows if I would have got a date in the post otherwise 😂

Hi everyone!!

I've got my booking appt on 17th Jan through NHS - will I get a scan letter after that or should I already have a date booked in? I'm worried it's going to be too late to book it in as I'll be 12 weeks on 9th Feb so just wondering if I've missed anything! Shall I call the hosp and check? Sorry if Im being ridiculous/impatient! xx

Not a huge amount to report from my end. Still pretty symptomless aside from huge amounts of bloating, a terrible eczema flair, and general tiredness. I have a huge fear that I’ll turn up to the 12 week scan and they’ll be nothing there!
One thing I have noticed is that I’m always absolutely freezing, to the point of shivering all the time. I usually have pretty bad circulation but this is something else! I can barely function without being sat by the radiators or in bed!

@Bec3421 I had my scan arranged at the booking appointment. They gave me a print out of the letter and checked dates/times with me. So perhaps wait until your appointment.

@CityKity I have also noticed that I’m always absolutely freezing too! I’ve been sat in the warm office today with two jumpers and a fleece on 😂 glad it’s not just me!

I am so sick of feeling sick 😫 Feel SO sorry for myself tonight, think it’s cause I had 2 okay days so thought I was getting over it…then back with a vengeance today!
