Well, I'm being induced today. So I could have her today, or tomorrow. Or 3 days time. I know how long the induction process can take 😅

Been awake since 5:30. Excited. Nervous. Feeling both completely prepared and also unprepared. Hoping being induced will be so much quicker this time and clinging to the small bit of hope I have that maybe my contractions will start fairly naturally (from just the prostaglandin) and I don't have to be attached to the god awful oxy drip 😢

Awwww no!!! Did your waters not go before then, like you thought??

I'm convinced they did, midwives think it could of been hind waters but since as no one has examined me they're all just guessing 🤦‍♀️ not sure why they don't just take a swab of my cervix and test it on those little strips, they did that a few weeks ago when we were querying whether my waters had gone or not xx

Just want to wish you well for your induction OP. I was induced (14 years ago now) and remember how drawn out it was. Hope you manage to progress nicely while you wait and that your labour and birth goes smoothly and safely.

I had my first in September, was scheduled for induction at 39w+6 ended up going into spontaneous labour the day before which was cool, got to the hospital in agony an hour after contractions started and was 8cm already when they checked me the first time but ended up needing the drip in the end when 8 hours later I was only 9cm dilated.

How are you getting along OP? Sorry to hear things stalled a little bit, maybe the drip will set things off then it’ll all be over nice and quickly 🤞🏻

I'm 39w today. Nothing happening except more mucus plug and the odd cramp, twinge and period like pain.

They've ramped it up more. Contractions 2 mins apart. DP is exhausted and fast asleep bless him😅 I'm still riding the gas and air 👌

I am rooting for you all the way and cheering you on from my lounge. You're doing well on the nasty drip on just gas and air!

I was crying for an epidural and they just kept cranking it up and saying there was no anaesthetist available. In the end I just had to hack it out on gas and air too.

I have had all my 5 children on gas and air, pethidine and only one stitch with baby number 5. Water birth with baby 3, laboured in the pool with baby 4 but had to be brought put as things were going so slow, to break my waters.cand would love to have baby 6 in water birth too, as its incredible!
