Hi all,
obvs still very early days. I’m currently 4+4 and just trying to enjoy it really. Just wondering if anyone wanted to join me to share early symptoms, how you’re managing to hide symptoms, how you’ll reveal your pregnancy to loved ones etc. and all the other bits and bobs on this journey 🄰

Farmbaby I'm on low carb/ keto so don't drink fruit juices, may try small apple see if that helps.

Moni81 · 07/01/2023 08:19

I had an idea, reached for my home made blend of keto porridge, which is pretty much coconut flour, low sugar flavoured protein powder and flaxseed/linseed + strong tea with lemon. Fingers crossed it works that's if I don't vomit all that mixture first lol šŸ™ˆ

Moni81 · 07/01/2023 09:02

Yep it worked, I guess it's flaxseed that made me go, definitely recommend if you struggle as me.

LuckyStar511 · 07/01/2023 10:08

I feel so miserable with the nausea and exhaustion. Feel like a rubbish mum to my toddler who is watching waaaay more tv than she normally would. I’m a SAHM so it’s been difficult, especially in the mornings, to give her the energy I’d normally give her. DH is doing everything around the house. Just feel like I’m letting everyone down! Sorry for being so negative.
I know I should feel so grateful and happy, and I am, but just feeling bloody miserable today šŸ˜” I know it’ll pass though. Just got to ride out the storm!

Update: hi girls sorry I haven't been back on since Thursday!
We went to our scan and unfortunately the pregnancy was another ectopic, sadly i had to go for surgery, also had bleeding around my pelvis and uterus. Unfortunately the remaining tube could not be saved as the fetus took up the whole tube. I got home yesterday so just resting and have had a referral issued to gp for ivf as this will now be my only option. We knew having 1 ectopic would increase the risk of another but genuinely thought we had made it this time. Thanks for all your support over last week. And I wish you all the best in your pregnancies xx

Morag202287 · 07/01/2023 10:15

Oh Morag that's heartbreaking and scary with second ectopic. Wish you speedy recovery and hope all goes well IVF route xx

Morag202287 · 07/01/2023 10:32

Thanks girls ā£ļø part of me is glad the tube is gone as it would have always been a worry and even with ivf if I had 1 tube there still a risk of ectopic even with ivf which is something I didn't know was so common with ivf . Now I know it can't happen, the surgeon said I have a higher chance now of success with ivf . Xx

I'm so sorry to hear you've been through another ectopic. I hope the IVF is successful when you get there.

Firsttimemomma1 · 07/01/2023 11:00

@Morag202287 i am so sorry to hear but also comforted by the fact there are still options for you and you are seeing the positives which must be so difficult during this time. You’re a strong lady, look after yourself and all the best with the IVF. Xxx

Sorry to hear this @Morag202287 - wishing you a speedy recovery and all the luck with the IVF

IntheFade · 07/01/2023 15:41

@Morag202287 so sorry to hear this news. Sounds positive for your ivf now and I wish you all the best with this!!

Unfortunately I have had a mix of lot of brown discharge/pink watery blood since yesterday afternoon. It's went from light spotting to showing in my knickers so I've had to put pads on. My symptoms have disappeared since it started, no more sore boobs! I'm fairly certain it is a mc but just have to give it a few days and ring EPU when they open on Monday to see what they advise. So far I've only had very light discomfort/intermittent sharp pains in the groin area but not had any real cramps yet.

I've read a lot of mixed outcomes from others having the same, trying to be positive but also prepping myself for the worst.

No one tells you how hard this is!! Hope everyone else are doing okay and I'll keep this updated for if anyone else experience the same. Take care everyone xx

Soopyjoopy · 07/01/2023 15:56

I know there's nothing I can do and what will be will be but my anxiety is thru the roof. I dont know why but I did a cheapie test this morning and it didnt look as strong as before. Then I got panicked, with on off spotting for a week now, I've booked a scan for tomorrow as I go on holiday monday for the week and I have to know before I go.
Then I did a digital and it still says 3+, which I only got 1st time 30th so I figure if something was wrong it would have changed by now. I hate this anxiety

IntheFade · 07/01/2023 16:13

@Soopyjoopy I'm feeling your anxiety šŸ˜ž I've refrained from testing myself so far but it's been very difficult not to. I've just come to the conclusion that whatever happens can't be stopped and I'll just have to wait it out which is torturous.

Please try and enjoy your holiday as much as you can. I had a rough year last year and nearly lost my Mum, it's made me realise you need to enjoy all the moments as best you can even if they are the hardest. Appreciate your family and friends around you, I haven't told anyone but still leaning on them without them knowing why 😬

Where are you going for your hols?

Nypie · 07/01/2023 17:28

@morag your outlook inspiring. Im so sorry for your loss I hope the IVF process is quick and you take the time you need to take care of yourself.

@LuckyStar511 you probably only feel this way cause you're a caring person and in this time you need your family to take care of you! Its not negative and even if it is its pretty relatable.

@IntheFade its soo hard. You've probably read it a million pink and brown isnt usually abbormal so I hope thats the case for y

@Soopyjoopy glad you've got your scan comming up everything crossed for you. I've been doing cheapies everyday 😳 depending on what time I take them during the day they have been lighter and then darker theres so many factors!

I got my 2 to 3 on a clear blue at 14dpo so I'm going to try and just appreciate the hear and now probably just for the day as I have 0 self control

Soopyjoopy · 07/01/2023 18:52

@Nypie
All my 1-2, 2-3 and 3+ came at the "right time" the 3+ was 30th so makes me think if anything had gone wrong in the last week it would have reverted back to the 2-3 already.

I dont know why i did cheapies now when I've not tested in a week but it made me worried!
However I'm now worrying what if the scan affects baby, they say they're safe but you just dont know

Moni81 · 07/01/2023 19:39

Soopyjoopy scan over tummy can't affect baby, it's not an x-ray.

Ultrasounds have been tested for a huge number of years and found to be safe. It might be worth reading Debunking the Bump as it's really good at giving all the research details.

Soopyjoopy · 07/01/2023 21:04

@FarmBaby3 @Moni81

Im only 6 + 4 so will be intrauterine
