@Sierra1961 most likely not plug or show as ime this was bright red and a huge jelly like substance.

Probably best to contact your triage as it could be meconium.

Jaaxe · 08/12/2022 19:25

Hey all, little update. Elective csection went ahead yesterday! Shocked to find out it was a little girl I was carrying all the time as I’d really thought it was a boy. Was a little hectic in theatre as they had to call the neonatal doctors as she was struggling with her breathing and couldn’t maintain her oxygen levels so they ended up taking her to nicu for a short time but back on the ward with me now and completely fine now, feeding well. Passed her doctors health check and hearing test and hoping we can go home tomorrow. I’m in a fair amount of pain and lost a bit more blood than they’d hoped but other than that ok. So in love with our new addition.

Laughingmole · 08/12/2022 20:02

Congratualtions @Jaaxe glad she is doing well with you now and not needing special care. Take it easy with the c section, but it does get easier. I’m nearly 3 weeks post section now and around the house I’m pain free and able to do jobs (no lifting!). Just can’t go for walks for very long.

MadamMaltesers · 08/12/2022 22:09

Congratulations @Jaaxe on you baby girl! Glad she's ok, wishing you a quick recovery.

TeamBluex4 · 09/12/2022 12:03

@Jaaxe congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! 😊 wishing you a speedy recovery x

Mommabear20 · 09/12/2022 14:28

How do I join the Facebook and WhatsApp groups?

OP posts:
MrsN3 · 09/12/2022 15:53

I’d also like to join the Facebook/ WhatsApp group if possible (breastfeeding sure is tough isn’t it ladies? My little one won’t sleep at all in her next to me crib at night and only sleeps on us so we officially are in the no night sleep club and have to nap in the day to try get through the nights) 🙈

BuchananBaby · 10/12/2022 06:14

Good morning chances are not many people on the thread will remember me (gave up a few months ago 🙈) the fb group is private so the only way to be added is by adding an admin then we can invite you to the group. There's a pic below of my info if you want to be added to the fb group please add me and I'll invite you.

Due December 2022 - the home stretch! (thread 5)
33mama · 10/12/2022 10:05

Little man arrived at 5:32am 10th December weighing 7lb 7oz at 40+1.

Congratulations to all other ladies on their little beauties xx

Seraphim87 · 10/12/2022 16:17

So my baby arrived on Sunday. After a labour from complete start of 4.5 hours to end. Had a bit of a dramatic labour which is looking like it’s going to be investigated over a few rather major hiccups. Home now and my little girl perfect which is the main thing.
congratulations to all those on their new arrivals

Dmarien · 11/12/2022 15:12

I’m due in December. Any guesses on gender?

Due December 2022 - the home stretch! (thread 5)
Sierra1961 · 11/12/2022 16:29

@Dmarien I’m totally just guessing but I would say girl! Purely because of nub theory. What I think is the nub on yours is parallel to the spine which would suggest girl. On my little boy’s scan photo, his nub was angled upwards. But again, just a guess! ❤️

Dmarien · 11/12/2022 16:35

Thanks Sierra! I did those nub expert sites and most came back girl but I’m getting boy guesses also… who knows.

MumsVillage · 11/12/2022 23:28

Wishing everyone a safe delivery this month. I’m due 28th Dec with Baby #2.

Mums, I’m offering a support service to all Mums. If you need anyone to talk to pre and post-partum, or if you need any help with anything, do not hesitate to reach out.

My goal is to ensure Mums do not feel alone or overwhelmed. I will speak to you as a confidante, create a safe space for you to let it all out, can provide concierge services assisting Mum’s with anything. I can take on tasks for you if you’re bound to forget to do them. I must say I also make excellent baby food - so I can help with weaning with freshly made healthy home made foods delivery in London. I have a weaning chart that makes it easy to track what your baby eats.

If you’re interested, please reach me on [email protected]

Orcarain · 12/12/2022 12:08

Congratulations on all of the babies!!!

I'm 38+3 and in my final week of work.

I keep having dreams about my mucus plug. Woke up thinking it had gone in my sleep today. DP has now put toddler pads on our bed as a precaution.

Sdoubleyou · 14/12/2022 01:21

Hello all! So we had our baby last night! I wanted to share my labour experience. Contractions started at 1:30 am between Sunday-Monday. The first couple were 10 minutes apart, then quickly went to 5, then by 4 or 5 am were every 2-3 minutes. Went to hospital and I was 0 cm dilated so was sent home. That was awful because they were strong and fast. I laboured in the bathtub until 11, when they got so bad I was almost screaming (despite all my yoga and meditation). But the good news is that when I got back to the hospital I was already at 5-6 cm so we got me an epidural and it was great. I continued to dilate well and started pushing at 5:30 pm. Baby Oskar was born at 7:33 pm. Second degree tear which is not feeling too bad and he was pretty big, 3585g with a 36 cm head. He was a little malpositioned (turned) which is why my labour was so intense, the contractions were trying to help him turn. And it was a little challenge to get him down. But it all went smoothly and we're all very happy. Dad was a super star as well.

Hope you're all doing well!

MumsVillage · 14/12/2022 04:26

Congratulations @Sdoubleyou !

3rdtimerodeo · 14/12/2022 05:12

Ah Congrats everyone! Hope you're all doing well with your babies?!

38+5 here impatiently waiting! Visited the birth centre yesterday to chat to the lead mw as the consultant vetoed my homebirth due to babies head measurements and my broken coccyx. Alls well their end just need to keep hubby grounded.
Last growth scan tomorrow morning so hopefully no drastic change to measurements. Bags packed and ready to go into the car just incase!

MadamMaltesers · 14/12/2022 06:35

Congratulations @Sdoubleyou on your bundle on joy. Good luck to anyone still waiting.

MadamMaltesers · 14/12/2022 06:36

Of*

AmyAW · 15/12/2022 06:25

Congratulations to all the new mummies and arrivals!

Impatiently been waiting here (38+3) but been awake the last hour with regular tightening in my lower abdomen every 7 minutes... Hoping it's not a false alarm...! I was expecting to feel everything in my back...

Chanel05 · 15/12/2022 10:12

Any updates @AmyAW ?

I'm 39 weeks today and scheduled for my c-section at 40 weeks! Hoping I go into labour regardless before then!

MumsVillage · 16/12/2022 21:58

December 2022 Mums-to-be, how are you all feeling?
(38+2) I can’t wait to meet the little one but I’m trying to make the most of the last few days before everything changes.

chardaboo · 16/12/2022 23:24

@MumsVillage I'm 38 today, very similar here.. have another urine infection - was given the wrong antibiotics. feeling uncomfy. got an elective section booked in week 39. hopefully can relax till then but feeling on edge

Dmarien · 17/12/2022 00:05

Almost 39 weeks.. feeling miserable. Not finding out the sex of the baby so feeling nervous about that. Have two boys all those nub sites came back with girl votes
