When's your next one @TeddyBeans ? I passed my 16 week one and they've booked another for 28 weeks. I do have a monitor so been checking that every so often and so far it seems OK 🤞

TeddyBeans · 05/11/2022 23:31

@Dreamingof3 they'll book it when I go for my early 25 week appointment on Monday. It'll be early December I think, I'll be 28 weeks on 4/12

Have any of you lovely lady's had laryngitis? Went to the GP yesterday who gave me amoxicillin, 4th night of no sleep, no voice horrible cough help!!! Any recommendations? Xx

TeddyBeans · 06/11/2022 09:16

@Amy1303 no experience sorry but sounds tough! The amoxicillin should kick in quickly and start to make you feel better. Hope you get a good rest soon ❤️

I have, it's horrible so I feel your pain. I found hot honey and lemon or ice lollys helped a bit till the antibiotics kicked in. Hope you manage to get some sleep soon x

24 weeks today! Tiny is officially viable 🥳 She's been busy making her presence known by ramping up with the movements over the last week or so. I generally feel her in batches 2-3 times a day - moreso in the evening when I've finally had a chance to put my feet up and relax.

We've been changing DS' room around for the last week or so. It's a bit early but it gives him lots of time to get used to being in a single bed and all the new furniture before DD moves into the room with him. Wanted to do something nice for him just for him, not because we have to with a baby on the way. (If that makes sense, idk)

Midwife appointment tomorrow. They wanted to book my 25 week appointment early so they had plenty of time to get my second GTT booked in. Can't say I'm looking forward to doing it again, I bruised like a peach last time! Hopefully after this one there won't be any more needles until labour 🤞🤞🤞

Is anyone else concerned about the midwife strikes? I fully agree with the need for them to strike for their pay and conditions but it does make me nervous 😅

Ffs MN!

As I was saying, someone posted this link on the FB group. I've found it rather helpful to keep tabs on whether I'm gaining too much or not

www.calculator.net/pregnancy-weight-gain-calculator.html

This is good to see, thank you.

Perexi · 06/11/2022 09:58

@TeddyBeans ah congratulations big milestone! 🥰

Cdoc · 06/11/2022 10:47

@TeddyBeans ah that is a huge milestone, congratulations 🤍hope the midwife goes well tomorrow!

LittleAcorn20 · 06/11/2022 13:40

Yay @TeddyBeans viability week is so exciting!
I'm 23+2 and so heading there now myself and it's all I can think about 😊 saw on BBC breakfast the other morning twins that had survived after being born at 22+5, they were celebrating their 1st birthday and were absolutely perfect 🥰
We are going to do the same for DD and will swap her room just after Christmas so she will have a couple of months to get used to the idea of the room swap. Baby will then be in with us for 6 months so I'm hoping she will have long forgotten that the nursery room was ever hers.
We are redecorating both a little bit, though it's hard on the budget at the min 😬
Planning a 'space' theme for the baby 🚀🌛🌟🔭
And DDs big girl room will be dinosaurs 🦕
What sort of themes is anyone else thinking for their nurseries?
DD had circus theme, really cute 😊

ChristmasJumpers · 06/11/2022 13:48

@TeddyBeans congratulations! Such a huge milestone

I'm still waiting for movements at 19+3, I know it could still be a while but I'm just excited to feel her!

Silly question, what's GTT?

Blocklynn · 06/11/2022 14:13

@LittleAcorn20 we’re not going for a theme as such but I saw this and am going to do something similar 🥰

I'm due 3rd March with a little boy 🙃

Dreamingof3 · 06/11/2022 15:07

@TeddyBeans yayy, I always think that's a big milestone to reach

@LittleAcorn20 we won't be doing a theme as such, probably keep the room white and have grey and pink accessories, wall stickers so it can be easily changed!

@TeddyBeans you can add a little pink heart next to me for the next update please 😊

havanamama · 07/11/2022 11:26

I’m half way through week 23.

those with anterior placenta - how often do you feel your baby?

I feel the baby move about 1x day, sometimes strong movements, sometimes a flutter.

havanamama · 07/11/2022 11:26

I’ve booked a private reassurance scan between the NHS 20 and 32 week scans for my peace of mind

TeddyBeans · 07/11/2022 11:35

@beatingheartbaby consider it done 💓

Just finished with the midwife. Showing 1+ protein already so the preeclampsia is creeping in already. Feel a bit blindsided. I knew it was going to happen but I'd been reassured many times that it usually onsets later in subsequent pregnancies... Here begins the hyper vigilance for any other symptoms

ChristmasJumpers · 07/11/2022 11:41

@havanamama when would you say you first felt movements? I can't help with how often you're feeling things sorry, I'm still waiting for any movements at 19+4

20 week scan this morning. Everything looking good but despite lying in all sorts of positions and running up and down the stairs, baby wouldn't flip over for a spine measurement! Back in on Thursday.

I have a glucose test in December but literally nothing else booked in from now until birth, can anyone who's already had a baby tell me if that's right? How will I know that baby is growing properly and my weight gain is okay etc?!

havanamama · 07/11/2022 11:50

@ChristmasJumpers started at 19+4

So glad your 20 week scan went well! I’m back on Thursday too because baby was lying in an awkward position - I see it as an extra chance to see baby again before all goes quiet til March!! I also have a glucose test in December as my dad is diabetic, hoping it won’t affect me. I have nothing else booked either however my midwife said they’d be in touch every few weeks for appointments during which they’ll measure bump to check growth and if any concerns, I’ll be sent for a growth scan so that’s some reassurance for us! Although I’d prefer if a couple of these appointments were booked already, to give me something to focus on as right now I feel a bit lost!
