@Cats23 gosh that must have been so scary!
I text my midwife yesterday and got a reply this morning which said now I’m over 18 weeks I need to contract triage not her .. not very helpful 🤦🏼‍♀️ the headache went yesterday so unsure about calling triage now ?

LaForza101 · 04/11/2022 14:02

Is anyone else struggling to get their MATB1 form from the midwife/GP? I contacted my GP and they said to come pick it up and it's the prescription exemption certificate which I've had digitally for ages!

HR at work are pushing for it and I'm not sure what more I can do. I keep getting pushed between midwife and GP and that's when I manage to contact them at all!

Blocklynn · 04/11/2022 14:20

@Cats23 yes I’ve been having very vivid dreams and sometimes waking up confused about where I am. I can sometimes remember dreams pre pregnancy but having loads now.

Choc2022 · 04/11/2022 15:46

I thought it was midwife who issued. I was lucky in that my form came through in tbe post shortly after booking appointment - my GP didnt even know at that point.

hol92 · 04/11/2022 15:49

@AK93 hahaha exactly that! Mine felt like little pokes to my left too! I have been waiting for flutters for weeks but haven’t felt anything until the little pokes today 😂 glad I’m not the only one with this heavy feeling and non of my friends seems to know what I mean, maybe they are just laying awkwardly haha! Im not sure if the little pokes were him or not but I’m going to say it was as never felt that before and it kind puts my kind at ease a bit Before the scan Monday :) 😂 xx

MarigoldMoonStone · 04/11/2022 15:54

Finally started feeling definite movements at 19+3 (second pregnancy) think I had felt the odd one or two before but couldn’t be sure, then was really active the other night which was lovely and reassuring

My midwife told me to send a form by post at my first appointment, sent it a week after, it’s been 10 weeks probably and haven’t received anything back.

I need to tell my hr soon too and don’t know what to do. I’ll contact the midwife to see what she says.

CristinaNov182 · 04/11/2022 16:15

@firstlittleone I think you should still call them, they can check your blood pressure, urine for any signs of preeclampsia etc, you can even go directly to the antenatal clinic and they will see you. I’ve been there with a concern already. There were only 2 women waiting and I was seen quickly.

ChristmasJumpers · 04/11/2022 17:30

@Cats23 I had a long and very intense dream last night, it was horrible. DH and I decided to kill a teenage girl and her younger brother. We tied them up and set them on fire inside a wooden shed 😳😳😳 the dream went on and on with all the paranoia about police finding out and us trying to cover our tracks etc. I woke up with a start in the night, went back to sleep and the dream carried on!

My midwife told me I'd get it at my 25 week appointment, I have to submit the mat leave request around that time too but I guess it will just have to follow.....eeek

iratepirate · 04/11/2022 22:20

I’m fairly sure mine was given out at midwife apt last time, 24wks apt. I can’t remember. I didn’t take any leave so I didn’t need to do anything with it.

havanamama · 05/11/2022 07:44

You can get MATB1 after 20 weeks in my area.

Cdoc · 05/11/2022 09:24

I’ve been told I’ll get it at my 24 week appointment, hopefully I will as work have already asked!

Choc2022 · 05/11/2022 11:29

Sooo I've put on 8kg in 20 weeks!!!! Is that normal? I felt heavier but not THAT much

Cdoc · 05/11/2022 13:19

@Choc2022 I’ve put on 16lb so not far off 8kg! I’ve looked it up on some pregnancy weight calculators for my height and it’s at the upper end of normal for being 23 weeks, but it does feel like a lot! I had no actual sickness in trimester one, just nausea and the only thing that helped was eating all the time, which I don’t think helped…

Ffs MN!

As I was saying, someone posted this link on the FB group. I've found it rather helpful to keep tabs on whether I'm gaining too much or not

According to that I should've gained between 4 and 13lbs but I'm currently 9lb less than when I fell pregnant so it's in red 😂

TeddyBeans · 05/11/2022 14:20

@Dreamingof3 I think it should be taken with a pinch of salt. There's no way of telling how a pregnancy is going to affect the individual. Just means you can get away with a few more snacks later on 😉

Choc2022 · 05/11/2022 14:53

Yep I deffo need to eat healthier or less. I didn't think I was eating a lot but im deffo not eating healthy. Been wanting chips everyday!

TeddyBeans · 05/11/2022 20:03

@Choc2022 I'm not eating too much either but the sugar cravings always hit when I get home from work. I snack on far too many sweet things

OP posts:
Dreamingof3 · 05/11/2022 20:36

I'm just making up for not being able yo stomach anything for the first 15 weeks 😅 I have plenty of spare weight though so going to get it under control and hopefully not gain much, plus I had gd last time so aware I'm likely to again!

Perexi · 05/11/2022 21:21

I'm thankfully only about 0.5kgs up so far, higher BMI so trying to limit what I gain because i although definitely eating what I fancy but I think lack of alcohol is definitely limit cals in as our go to meals are pretty handy.

Perexi · 05/11/2022 21:25

That makes me sound like I drink all the time 😂 not the case just think the swapping of beer or red wine for soda water has definitely helped

TeddyBeans · 05/11/2022 21:52

I've gained about 4kg now, I'm high on BMI so not trying to gain too much but failing a little bit. My body seems to be hoarding every last bit of fat it can now the weather's started to get colder 🙈 it doesn't bode well for my next GTT. I was already borderline at 12 weeks
