We found out the gender of our baby this afternoon and we’re having a little girl 💕! Still hasn’t sunk in yet but we’re both thrilled

Congrats!!

Katlouise24 · 15/10/2022 15:45

Anyone have any tips for heartburn? Feel like a dragon today😂🙄x

ChristmasJumpers · 15/10/2022 16:39

We had our private gender scan this afternoon and all my dreams have come true, we have a little girl 😍🥰 I'm a crying mess 🥺

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 15/10/2022 19:14

So on top of the test results…. Might be a little TMI but I’ve been to the toilet twice this afternoon and had a 20p ish sized bit of what looked like creamy white coloured jelly?! It was really thick and gel like, does anyone know what it could be? Google searches just bring up about losing your mucus plug being a sign of labour but I’m only 16+6?

TeddyBeans · 15/10/2022 19:29

@AGirlsNameIsAryaStark increased discharge is a lovely side effect the further through pregnancy you get. If it's not bloody I wouldn't worry at all 😊

havanamama · 15/10/2022 19:48

@ChristmasJumpers your name is visible on the photo FYI

@AGirlsNameIsAryaStark as long as it’s not yellow or green but white it’s fine

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 15/10/2022 20:49

@ChristmasJumpers congratulations!! 💕

Thank you @havanamama @TeddyBeans, I think it was the consistency that worried me most! I’ve got a consultant appointment in a week or so so I think I’ll mention it to them just to be on the safe side.

PeonyPops · 15/10/2022 21:16

Hi everyone. Would love to join you all if that’s ok.

Im having a girl, baby number 4. Due 10th March :)

havanamama · 15/10/2022 21:29

I have had quite bad round ligament pain today. I had PGP a few weeks ago, but round ligament pain is another level! 🥴Taking it as a positive sign that my uterus is expanding for the growing baby, but ugh it was a struggle to walk!

Think I've updated everyone! Let me know!

OP posts:
Choc2022 · 16/10/2022 03:13

My lower back is absolutely horrendous! Even when lying down I feel getting up or even turning will cause major damage. Google suggests its pelvic girdle pain?

LittleAcorn20 · 16/10/2022 08:12

@Choc2022 @havanamama I use the baby go pelvic support band and it is so good for lower back pain/PGP.

ChristmasJumpers · 16/10/2022 08:46

@TeddyBeans thanks for keeping the list updated. So close between boys and girls so far!

BabyLimey · 16/10/2022 12:56

8th March for me and also a surprise!

purplerain555 · 16/10/2022 14:03

Would love to join. Due 26th March. Not sure what we are having but will be finding out on Saturday 🙂

muminlndn · 16/10/2022 19:39

@Choc2022 I've had this a bit but if you mean right at the base of your back it might be better described as coccyx (tailbone) pain. NHS has some tips to reduce it & you can get yourself referred for physio through midwife or GP - the sooner the better with waiting lists!
If you did mean PGP that can also escalate to be awful so same applies 😬

I'm only getting it mildly occasionally but I think I'm still going to ask for a referral in case/to stop it getting worse. I had no pain in first pregnancy so I know pain is common but doesn't have to be put up with

allthingssparkly · 16/10/2022 20:13

20 week scan tomorrow, hoping this little one cooperates 🙈🤞 is anyone else feeling minimal or no movement? Starting to wonder if I have an anterior placenta! 🤔

TeddyBeans · 16/10/2022 20:17

@allthingssparkly DD is going through a quieter phase, I know my placenta is anterior, was told at my 12 week scan so think she's probably moved up behind it for now. She also had her legs up in front of her face for my 20 week scan so having to have another one this Friday to check for facial abnormalities

OP posts:
allthingssparkly · 16/10/2022 20:22

Ahh, the sonographer never mentioned anything to me in terms of placenta position at my 12 week scan, hopefully I will know more tomorrow 🤞

Oh no, at least you get to see your little one again 🤭🤭 hopefully all is well at your rescan 😊

havanamama · 16/10/2022 20:23

@allthingssparkly good luck! I’m the same, I feel some things but still unsure if it’s baby! My scan is a few days away and I’m SO anxious ☹️

SammyJay5 · 16/10/2022 21:25

@allthingssparkly best of luck for tomorrow! I wondered about my placenta as it hadn’t been mentioned at my 12 week scan but at my 20 week scan on Friday they told me it was right lateral which is normal and it also said about it on the scan report which they put in my notes too 😊

BabyNumber3OnTheWay · 17/10/2022 10:48

@TeddyBeans I’ve not been updated on the list, found out Thursday I’m having a boy 💙

Perexi · 17/10/2022 11:50

Morning! I just received a letter for a consultant appointment when I will be 19 weeks. I wasn't told I would be seeing a consultant and as I haven't received my combination screening results yet my mind's gone into overdrive a little 🤣 I'm hoping it's as I'm 40 and or a BMI of 32.....

I have emailed the group email I have for the midwife team but as it's my first I'm very inexperienced in these matters so wondered if anyone knew anything about these sort of appointments! It's a telephone appointment due to covid.

ChristmasJumpers · 17/10/2022 12:13

@allthingssparkly I had no mention of it at my 12 week scan but found out on Saturday that I have an anterior placenta so might be waiting a while to feel anything

TeddyBeans · 17/10/2022 12:20

@BabyNumber3OnTheWay I've added your 💙! Will post the updated list soon
