If you've had more than one spontaneous onset of labour...?

What day did you go into labour? Were the dates similar??

I'd include if you had a sweep but not induced labour.

I went into labour spontaneously at 40+2 with DD. Wondering how likely it will be the same for my current pregnancy or whether it can really vary.

Mine were all spontaneous.

DC1 - 41+1
DC2 - 41+0
DC3 - 39+4

I was 41+6 with DS (induction as booked for the afternoon the next day and he qas born in the morning!).

DD was 40+3 and I was so relieved as I xoukdnt handle being pregnant anymore.

Spontaneously both times, at 36+5 and 39 + 0.

37+4 and 39 for me 😊

All spontaneous all dc2 was cutting it fine. Dc1 38+0, dc2 31+6, dc3 40+5. Almost a whole month's worth of difference between dc1 + 2, crazy.

wxactky the same gestation for all 3. To the day!

39+4 with first and 41+4 with my second. I naively presumed I wouldn’t go over my dates with my second based on my first.

@MinimumMadness oh no, I've been hoping my 2nd would be around the same as my first.
First was 39+5 and I'm due end of January so was hoping that they'd be before 40 but maybe that's wishful thinking 🤣

#3 39+6 (both 2&3 started 39+5 and were born the following morning after 12ish hours. Nice and consistent)

My spontaneous labours went like this;

DC 1 - 6 days late
DC 2 - 6 days late
DC3 - 13 days late
DC 4 was induced 5 days late.

All the same sex, all weighed the same and all less than three hour labours.

Mine were both spontaneous.

6 days’ late with first, 2nd born on due date.

Both spontaneous.

Refused all sweeps and dilation checks/vaginal exams due to risks and lack of evidence of any benefit.

Both of mine were 39 +3, I think.

39 weeks DS1 and 38+5 with DS 2 so pretty similar

Both spontaneous arrived on due dates.

Quite proud of that although I'm fully aware it is completely random. (Not a high achiever and don't have that much to be proud of!)

Dd 40+4 (about 12 hours after a sweep)

41+3 and 39+6. Just as well, because I'd told my family member who was doing emergency standby childcare for the second birth "it'll be some time between 38 and 42 weeks" and at 39+5, which was a Thursday, they said that actually being on call was no longer convenient for work so they'd have to withdraw their offer if baby came during working hours. I went into hospital on the Friday morning and DH stayed at home minding DC1 until family member got off work. Phew.

All pretty close to their due dates.

2 and 3 on the due date 40. First overdue multiple sweeps etc and then spontaneous 40 plus 8. I'd say there's a reasonable chance that you have a defined pregnancy length, once you've had one go through.
