No appetite here either, apart from I never used to eat breakfast but now I’m hungry when I get up but apart from that, nothing, I could not eat at all all day and don’t think I’d be hungry. Also awaiting movement here, over the last few days I’ve had a couple of things where I thought is that baby, but nothing I really notice.

TeddyBeans · 02/10/2022 09:42

My appetite has decreased dramatically too. I have a bowl of cereal in the morning, soup and something sweet at lunch and then about half the portion I would normally eat for dinner.

For me it's a good thing though as I have a high BMI and it's definitely helping to curb the weight gain. 19 weeks today and only put on 1kg (2.2lbs) so far

I’ve got a high bmi as well so trying not to put to much weight on

@Clarps84 first time round I can’t remember how many weeks I was but the very early movements feel like little pops in your belly - that’s the best way to describe it haha

I’ve been craving junk food so much this time! Don’t remember having any cravings last time but I am all about the fizzy pop this time, and all the food and anything convenient because cooking is a chore. Scotch eggs my current favourite snack because they are easy and quite filling.

first baby I had visitors at hospital and at home early on last time and it was fine, I guess it just depends how your family are..if they are particularly overbearing I can imagine it not being nice but if they are chilled, understanding and helpful it’s all good

Jholli · 02/10/2022 13:23

Hypermesis: I for the last week while having HG have been having very vivid dreams mainly about food them gagging/ wrenching in my sleep and in real life. It wakes me up. HG is vile honestly

Jholli · 02/10/2022 13:24

Same earring barely 400 cals a day and most is vomited up

Jholli · 02/10/2022 13:25

*eating

Dreamingof3 · 02/10/2022 19:12

I'm not really getting cravings yet. I think it's because I still feel sick a lot so I'm not eating as much as I would normally and certain foods just make me feel ill! Lost 11lbs so far 🤣
Visitors wise I will be saying I'll let people know when I'm up to it. My last baby she was born Friday, we came home Saturday and then first Visitors Monday... close family and they only stayed an hour (two separate visits) do that was manageable. I would definitely have a full day at home just us before any Visitors again, and I'm not bothered about upsetting people either. If I only feel up to having my mum there then everyone else will have to wait. Let's face it, the baby couldn't care less 🤣 and we're the ones going through the birth so I actually think we have the biggest say in who/what we have to fave afterwards

Babynum2 · 02/10/2022 20:04

Ive had cravings but i just vomit it up. Im 18 weeks today and my HG still hasnt gone i think its going to stick the whole way through unfortunatley

iratepirate · 02/10/2022 20:25

Oh gosh, I hope that your HG doesn’t last too long. I am still getting a lot of nausea but thankfully not been sick for a while now.
Managed to get my booking apt done this morning, which feels like a step in the right direction. Need to get whooping cough and flu jabs booked with the GP this week.

It is absolutely your choice whether to have the vaccine.

It is also true that the information you've shared is out of date. The government webpage it is on has been updated with other things, but the document you're quoting is from 2020 before thousands of pregnant and breastfeeding women had been vaccinated.

This was covered in a BBC article about fake news being targeted at pregnant women on social media: www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-62739554.amp

The current NHS advice is that the Covid vaccine is safe for pregnant/breastfeeding women and is strongly recommended.

@Clarps84 I’m a FTM, 16 weeks and I think I’ve felt feel baby moving (I know super early by most reports). Very rarely but feels like a little bubble popped against inside of my stomach, or a very slight pressure when I’m laying down in evening super relaxed / concentrating… pretty sure it’s her. Can’t wait to feel her more regularly.

Choc2022 · 03/10/2022 01:39

Im nearly 16 weeks and I'm sure I can feel something when laying down. My stomach is very round though, not sure if its still bloat but im definitely showing. Im only 5foot so not sure if thats why and I was a little chubby before anyways.

I feel uncomfortable laying on my back and even on my right side,as if something within me is telling me to roll over.

TeddyBeans · 03/10/2022 12:22

Started the week to a message from my manager - confirmed covid case at work 🤦‍♀️ it's my day off today anyway so not a problem. I had two vaccines and was never bothered with getting any more but now it's sitting on my doorstep I don't know whether to go get a booster. It never bothered me greatly, I still haven't caught covid and only know a handful of people who have but now I have tiny to worry about too...

The start of week 18 for me and god I feel awful 😖 my asthma is playing havoc, I'm so congested too 😩

How is everyone doing? I'm sure there's so many infections going round at the moment, I can't seem to get right 😔

MattyM5 · 03/10/2022 17:27

Sorry to hear! I’ve got COVID atm 😔 Feeling not good but not super poorly. Focusing on the fact that my baby will be born COVID immune which is a plus! I was booked in for a booster vaccine tomorrow but COVID caught me before …oh the irony 😂

havanamama · 03/10/2022 18:02

I’m growing by the day! Almost 18 weeks and I think I’ve taken a positive turn with my movement anxiety! As the belly grows so much, I think I believe more all is well and also my scan is now just short of 2 weeks away :)

alotoftutus · 03/10/2022 19:29

Shit ladies, I'm 16+1 I've just been to the toilet and (TMI) there was a bit of brownish red blood in some jelly in my underwear and then more when I wiped! I'm about to have a breakdown!
I have an appointment with the consultant at 9am tomorrow (not about this) so will wait it out but this isn't good.

The ONLY thing I can think it could be that's making me feel slightly better is the fact that this morning DH and I dtd. It was the first time in absolutely ages as I've been too sick. Could it just be that?

I've just in the last few days started to relax after the Down syndrome scare and now this. This baby will be the end of me.

Has anyone else bled a little after sex?

Katlouise24 · 03/10/2022 19:32

@alotoftutus i can offer a little reassurance, every time me and my boyfriend dtd after a little while I've experienced a tiny but of bloody discharge/spotting but not enough to be overly alarmed, I mentioned this to my midwife and she said that its common in pregnancy due to cervix irritation and just being a bit more sensitive right now and every time it's happened baby has been absolutely fine at my next scan! Hope you're okay!x

muminlndn · 03/10/2022 20:20

@MattyM5 glad you're not too poorly, just let your midwife know anyway if you haven't already as I think there are some risk assessments they do

Hopefully it is just from activity, this is the main thing putting me off as I know if that was to happen or get cramps etc I would have a breakdown! I didn't want to be that pregnant partner who won't do it but I get so scared about it!
I've literally got to the point where I thought maybe I should ask on here if it's unreasonable not to after this long! But I know that realistically it has to be what I'm comfortable with - maybe one day 😆

Mention it to the midwife and hopefully she can reassure you but I do understand that your brain is probably wanting to explode with what you've been through with worry already! Sending lots of positive wishes your way! xx

havanamama · 03/10/2022 20:51

@AK93 I get that sex worry too, but remember that there’s not just P in V, you can do other things as “baby steps” if you are worried.

alotoftutus · 03/10/2022 20:52

@AK93 @Katlouise24 thanks ladies.

@AK93 you definitely can only do what you are comfortable with. DH was practically on the edge of death it's been so long 🤣 but I've either been too exhausted, too sick, or too emotional so it hasn't happened. He's going away for 5 weeks this weekend and I'm kinda glad now as it means there's definitely no chance of it happening again for a while.

@Katlouise24 thank you that's definitely reassuring. It's never happened in previous pregnancies, although we've also not really ever left it so long either. I've just been to the toilet again & there was nothing this time which I guess is positive.

I see my consultant tomorrow morning and then midwife Wednesday so at least they can have a check.

I can't relax with this pregnancy. I just want to enjoy it but I'm so on edge.
Would you believe we still haven't told anyone! We planned to tell our children tonight, then I got the blood so decided against it just encase. DH has to tell his boss tomorrow as his boss lives opposite us (we live on a military patch) and his boss will see me growing over the next 5/6 weeks that DH will be away. That means I really need to tell my children before it becomes public knowledge where we live, & I need to tell my family before my children do! I don't feel ready to talk about it & pretend to be excited when I'm a nervous wreck.

Bobduncan · 03/10/2022 21:05

@MattyM5 I also have covid at the moment! Hope you're not feeling too poorly. I'm on day 4 and am definitely more perky this evening. I'm 15 weeks and haven't had the booster jab yet. Did your midwife recommend you the covid booster at your 16 week appointment? I'm wondering if they will still try and get me to have it despite actually having covid now 🤔

Ubbee · 03/10/2022 21:47

@alotoftutus sorry it’s so stressful!
definitely chat to your consultant but hopefully it’s reassuring to know I also didn’t bleed at all in previous pregnancy and when I did with this one the first thing they asked was if I’d had sex, and then once all checked out they said not to worry if more brown blood came, only if fresh red blood. Seemed to be no reason for it at all!
