@TeddyBeans .. scan was perfect, baby is a little girl so everyone's guesses we're right! We also got the heartbeat in a little bear and a glimpse of 4D which was amazing xx

allthingssparkly · 26/09/2022 17:37

Thanks @TeddyBeans I haven't been yet it's not until 6pm 😊

TeddyBeans · 26/09/2022 18:42

@Katlouise24 DD decided to turn away just as the sonographer was doing our 4D peek. Got a lovely shot of her back and elbow 🤦‍♀️

@allthingssparkly hope it all went well ❤️ did you get to hear the heartbeat?

Katlouise24 · 26/09/2022 18:44

@TeddyBeans haha, we always get compliments on how photogenic baby is but when trying to see gender today baby did not want to cooperate haha! Eventually she gave in😊

allthingssparkly · 26/09/2022 18:45

Hey @TeddyBeans just got home, heard baby's heartbeat which was so nice 🥺🥺 she asked me if I wanted her to try as they don't do it routinely at the 16 week appt anymore and she found baby's heartbeat straight away I couldn't believe it! x

MarigoldMoonStone · 26/09/2022 18:52

Hi, late to the party by the looks of it but I’m due March 29th although will probably be having elective csection the week before. Had scan last week & all looking good.
I’ve got my 16 week appt 10th Oct and I’m sure she said on the phone they will listen to heartbeat, hope they do as need to take my little girl so thought it would be cool for her to hear

Babynum2 · 26/09/2022 20:42

Still patiently waiting for this "second trimester burst of energy"😑. Sooooo drained, sick and pretty fed up of being pregnant now. We go to Majorca on Thursday really hope its a nice relaxing stay for me.

Deut28 · 26/09/2022 21:27

I had my flu jab today at the pharmacy and my Covid booster is booked for next week. Will have whooping cough one at the 20-week scan. Read too many stories about pregnant women with Covid ending up in ICU or having premature babies to want to take that risk. I've had all my jabs so far and Covid once, but being pregnant compromises your immune system so having it relatively mildly before doesn't feel like any guarantee.

JB2021 · 26/09/2022 22:23

Had my covid jab 2 weeks ago and flu jab last week. Covid jab left me drained, but I felt like that from covid jabs previously. Felt fine after flu jab.

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 27/09/2022 09:34

I have my 16 week appointment 19th October, its with a consultant not a midwife as my BMI is high, does anyone know what generally happens at this appointment? I'm dreading sitting there and talking about my weight for half an hour 🙄

TeddyBeans · 27/09/2022 09:39

@AGirlsNameIsAryaStark don't worry my weight wasn't even mentioned in the appointment. The midwife that took the appointment asked for the pink sheet for weigh ins but then said my regular midwife would still have it as they don't start weighing until 28 weeks apparently. Might not be the same in your area but ime it definitely won't be the main focus of the appointment

TeddyBeans · 27/09/2022 09:43

@AGirlsNameIsAryaStark and in my sleep deprived state, completely missed the consultant part of your post 🤦‍♀️ sorry. I would have thought they would still be looking at your test results rather than focussing solely on your weight but I can't speak from experience as (obviously by pp) I'm midwife led

OP posts:
allthingssparkly · 27/09/2022 12:23

@AGirlsNameIsAryaStark I had this midwife appointment last night, my BMI is over 30 and my weight wasn't mentioned once so don't worry. I just had to do a urine sample, check baby's heartbeat, midwifw asked about previous pregnancies and general well-being. It was only a 20 min appt x

Dreamingof3 · 27/09/2022 12:31

Is anyone else still feeling horrible? 15+2 and still feeling/being sick, heartburn has started and also feel exhausted and run down! I onyl work 16 hours a week in a really easy job but still dread going in 😅 I keep saying to my partner this baby is definitely another girl with all this trouble!

havanamama · 27/09/2022 12:40

I’m consultant led (for non BMI reasons) but my BMI is high and I’ve only been weighed at the 7 week booking appointment and then when going bloods at the 12 week screening

Cats23 · 27/09/2022 13:40

I was advised to have covid booster, flu jab and whooping cough by midwife and consultant.
Im undecided tbh.

What is everyone's guess on my scan please? Be interesting to know as Ive no clue ( Though Ive 2x of each already!)
(The red mark Indicates an arm - Though looks like an extended nose- I was showing my eldest DC!)

Ive a high BMI but also ever concerns such as previous v.prem birth due to pre-eclampsia...
Im also older this time.
My weight was only mentioned once really and I have to have the diabetes test again as a result ,at 22weeks.
It was a 20min Appt max.

TeddyBeans · 27/09/2022 15:55

Shall we start a due date list like on the FB group? It would be nice to tag it to the initial post on each new thread. Could add a pink, blue or yellow heart to indicate gender/surprise as well?

Cats23 · 27/09/2022 16:01

Nice idea!

My DD is 27th March. ( No idea on gender yet, roll on mid November!)

GreenIsle · 27/09/2022 16:09

Yes my dd is 7th March and I'm having a girl.

Dreamingof3 · 27/09/2022 16:17

My due date is 19th and gender scan Saturday so hopefully update you then!

firstlittleone · 27/09/2022 16:24

I added some February dates but I don't know if that was more of the other group I was on over this one? 😕 There are a lot of Feb due dates on the FB group and I wasn't sure if any of you ladies were on this one!
