@TeddyBeans thanks!

hol92 · 08/09/2022 06:45

Was anyone else told they had a tilted uterus at there scan ? :) I did at my private scan but didn’t really think much of it! I keep getting back lower back pain so am now wondering if this is the cause, has anyone else got this? X

hol92 · 08/09/2022 06:47

@alotoftutus so glad they are looking after you well ❤️ And that the news is a little more positive than you thought, so bad that they didn’t flag it in your previous pregnancy though! Can’t imagine how mentally drained you are from all of this ❤️ X

LaForza101 · 08/09/2022 07:36

@hol92 I also have a tilted uterus so I've had to get used to transvaginal scans to see baby at the beginning. I was delighted that my bladder was full enough to have the 12 week scan above my pelvis! Hopefully, it will tilt forward from that point on.

No backache fortunately but maybe it will stop for you once the womb shifts into a forward position as it grows

I will indeed. I'll also confirm whether the nubtechs were right!

Oh I’d be interested to know this. What did they tell you you were having? I’ve been Googling nub theories 😂! I’ll attach what the nub professionals said to me..I don’t find out for another 2 weeks.
In one picture my baby has a very clear forked nub (attatched it) that I’ve read can be sign of a girl. Off work sick at the moment so clearly have too much time of my hands to research this nonsense 😂🙄 x

botleybump · 08/09/2022 07:44

@Blondewave ooh! Exciting! They said I'm having a girl - I have felt girl since the start too, so we shall see!
From what I know of the theories (not much!) I'd say yours is pointing to girl too!

Babynum2 · 08/09/2022 08:30

@Blondewave im still sick i had a few decent days but its come back again at 14+4.

Very jel of all those finding out we was going to next week but ive now had to move to week after!

Dreamingof3 · 08/09/2022 10:12

I'm excited to start seeing what everyone's having! I'm still convinced we're having girl #3, this scan looks quite different to my other two though!

Babynum2 · 08/09/2022 10:59

@Dreamingof3 we have boy and girl everyone is saying its a girl so ill be suprised if its a boy. I say i dont mind but my girl is 9 now so feels forever ago i had a baby girl but then life would be easier with a boy because my ralphie is only 3 id hope they have a brotherly bond. My scan was rubbish wasnt clear at all couldnt see the nub at all.

Flowerfan35 · 08/09/2022 11:23

I'm currently in negotiations with my husband, I want the gender to be a surprise at birth but he wants to know 😂we've got some time to decide either way lol

Oh amazing! I’m super confused now as I’ve had one company say girl and one boy. On different pictures...I got given loads of pics at scan and the nub looks different on every one. I’ll attatch. They throw you off tho when they quote 98% accuracy 🙄 time will tell 😂💙💗

Dreamingof3 · 08/09/2022 12:23

@Babynum2 both my girls want a sister and I'd love another girl as its all I know...and the clothes are cuter 😂

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 08/09/2022 13:52

@Flowerfan35 same here! Pretty sure we'll end up finding out🙈

botleybump · 08/09/2022 14:14

@Blondewave oh yeah! I'd agree with the boy on the first! How confusing!
To be fair, one of my pictures had a more blocky head, but as the others were rounded I think they took that to be a bad image.

If I'm honest...we also did a sneak peek test that said girl, but after reading reviews, I refuse to believe it and won't tell family on that basis 😅 my partner is sure it's right and wants to tell his Mum (first girl in his family for a long time if it is) so is funding the gender scan for that reason 😅

Feels silly to spend so much time (and money) on something we aren't really that fussed about either way, buts it's been a fun little mission to find out for us. I've found so little of early pregnancy to be fun that we're willing to pay for a little smile along the way!

havanamama · 08/09/2022 15:52

I’m convinced we are having a baby girl, but will find out in a month!
In my mind it’s nice to find out something more about the baby, to think of names

hol92 · 08/09/2022 16:14

Has anyone done the Chinese calendar gender prediction haha? I know many people who have and it’s been correct but then it’s 50/50 anyway 😂😂 x

namedhange · 08/09/2022 16:23

Please don't buy hone dopplers. They can give false reassurance.

Newmumma516789 · 08/09/2022 17:19

@Blondewave I'm 13+2 and my nausea has gotten so much worse in the last few weeks. I've had all day nausea from quite early but this is a whole new level, dizziness, can't concentrate and completely off food. I'm living off bread and crisps currently.
Did you find the medication helped? I'm considering seeing my GP.

havanamama · 09/09/2022 08:22

I’m in week 15 and nausea comes and goes🫥 yesterday I vomited for the first time! After eating an apple!! Lol you would think it would have happened way earlier! Pregnancy is an unpredictable time haha

havanamama · 09/09/2022 08:24

I previously asked questions about breastfeeding and birthing options, which turned out in very interesting discussions.

what is everyone planning to do for sleep? Will you be sleep training your baby? Following some routine plan?

TeddyBeans · 09/09/2022 08:34

DP stays up later than I do so baby will probably stay with him for a little while so I can sleep uninterrupted for a few hours in the evening. He'll do a feed and then I'll take over for the deep of night feeds 😂

Baby will sleep in their cot from day 1. I had a massive issue with exDP cuddling DS to sleep after the late evening feed which made it incredibly difficult to settle DS in the cot when he went out one evening. So DS started coming up with me and being put in the swaddle to go to sleep in the cot. Worked pretty well but I'd like the extra chunk of sleep if I can have it!

@havanamama both mine were brilliant sleepers hope this one follows. I always put mine in their cot never our bed even for a nap never woke them through the night for a feed let them wake on their own or they get in a routine of waking every few hours. Both mine slept through from 6 weeks. The midwife will tell you different and tell to wakr for feeds tottally up to you what you do though just some advice

Franklin321 · 09/09/2022 09:33

I got myself really wound up about my sons sleep, that he had to be put down to sleep etc and caused lots of stress…he was actually a pretty good sleeper in the end and slept through from 5 months. However he’s 2 soon and ends up in my bed most nights…so it’s all swings and roundabouts 😅 best advice I’d give…try not to plan too much because they’ll do what they want in the end anyway!

XjustagirlX · 09/09/2022 10:26

I like the advice about not waking the baby to feed them in the night. Surely they will wake up when they are hungry?

i do plan on sleep training, my sleep is far too valuable.
