@Jholli call the gp again and see if they'll prescribe different tablets. For me it was third time lucky, having tried two types of anti-sickness tablets which did nothing. Prescribed ondansetron third time and it's been so helpful.
It's really rough. But you CAN do it and push through, just keep asking for all the support you possibly can.
I'm 12+6 today and two mini victories - a) didn't need to take anti-sickness medication and b) managed to eat a chicken enchilada for dinner when all I've coped with since 6 weeks is plain pasta and cheese or jacket potato and cheese!
I feel like I could cry it's such a relief to be slowly feeling like I can function again, and eat food with a bit of flavour + more calories/nutrients!
You will get there ☺️

I to am struggling- nausea has crippled me today, I haven't been sick but I want too.
This is the worst day.
Im 9+5
BUT
Yesterday, I felt 'something move' , I put it down to nothing other that nausea but today 4x I feel I have felt something.
We did have a 'false positive' beginging of June (My period was 7 days late)period arrived then normal 28 days, My due date going off last period is 27th.
12 week scan is around 9th Sept.
This is baby #5 and I feel Im a bit more aware of my body the last 2 pregnancies- I will call my midwife Am.
Could be all in my head, Im pretty exhausted and feel so ill...

Cats23 · 25/08/2022 23:52

*12 week scan

Pickles23 · 26/08/2022 08:42

Hi all, can I please be a late joiner to the group?!

I'm 36, first ever pregnancy, about 13 weeks and due early March. Had an early private scan at 10 weeks and my first NHS scan yesterday, both of which were amazing. I didn't realise you'd see the heart beating and hands and feet moving at 10 weeks, and the baby was super active and swimming around yesterday!

I've been really lucky and feeling pretty normal most of the time, I'm so sorry to those of you suffering with sickness/nausea.

I started a new job a few weeks ago so I'll only get Maternity Allowance, better than nothing I guess. I mainly WFH but I'm going to tell my boss I'm pregnant in person next week.

Hope you're all feeling OK today!

Maternity pay is crazy! Some of my friends got such good packages, sadly I don't but hopefully will make it work! Glad it's not going to be a winter baby with the rises coming!

I just had my booking appointment, full on with questions isn't it! 🤣 sadly my first scan isn't until 13 weeks so another 4 to go, not sure we will be able to keep it hidden another month!

so crazy - I get 5 months full pay at my work which is apparently good, however as shocking news to me as most my friends have taken a year off so I just assumed maternity pay for employer was about a year 😂 how wrong was I. So I’ll be working up to the day I give birth if I can. How are people supposed to live off stat maternity pay? 😂 crazy! Luckily my partner can support us but I’m already not looking forward to having to ask for stuff when I don’t have my own money haha xx

@Rainbowbaby23 .. I'm 11+3 today and all my sickness, nausea and headaches stopped abruptly this week...

I started to panic but everyone I've spoken to has said this is completely normal!

Mine stopped for like 1-2 days at 10+6 and then as quick as it went came back with a vengeance. Hoping it will go again soon 🙃

wamanna · 26/08/2022 12:03

Has anyone had any spotting after a bowel movement, this has happened to me 3 times but baby is doing ok in lasts scans.

Katlouise24 · 26/08/2022 12:18

Last minute check on baby last night at a private scan, loved seeing the little wriggles…baby is measuring bang on dates at 11+3…due March 12th🥰

This is my first pregnancy and I just wanted to know if it's normal to experience some period like cramps? Not all the time but couple of times a day. I've had an early scan and she said everything looked fine and normal, just waiting for my first nhs scan now.

Rainbowbaby23 · 26/08/2022 19:00

@ToffeeEl yes ive been getting period type cramps the whole time and im 11+3

Rainbowbaby23 · 26/08/2022 19:03

havanamama · 26/08/2022 20:32

Same, I’ve had mild cramps too from week 4 now into week 13
it’s cause stuff there is stretching

Laur1980 · 26/08/2022 20:41

@ToffeeEl I'm the same, I've been having cramps too, I'm nearly 9 weeks but it's just everything stretching. I'm prone to miscarriage so anything worries me a lot but it's completely normal. 😀

hellosunshineagainx · 26/08/2022 20:55

Also here to say I had cramping up until 9 weeks, had same with my 3 year old so pretty normal

ToffeeEl · 26/08/2022 21:11

Thank you all, sometimes I can't tell whether I'm worrying too much or not enough!

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 26/08/2022 22:59

Went for an early scan today, measuring exactly 9 weeks with an EDD of 30/03 and a good strong heartbeat. I think this has started to finally make it feel real! 🥰

Jholli · 26/08/2022 23:14

Cute pic! Scan says 10weeks for you?

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 27/08/2022 08:41

@Jholli I should be 10 weeks going by my LMP but my cycles are slightly longer so only actually 9 weeks

TeddyBeans · 27/08/2022 10:59

@AGirlsNameIsAryaStark gorgeous little jelly baby ❤️

Is anyone losing a ridiculous amount of hair? Every time I wash it I lose clumps. I'm surprised I'm not bald yet 😭 I wash my hair every 2-3 days and this happens every time

OP posts:
Cats23 · 27/08/2022 22:14

@TeddyBeans - I've heard somr people lose hair in pregnancy, I personally never have.
Also heard it can happen after birth too.

havanamama · 27/08/2022 22:16

@TeddyBeans mine is the opposite, barely any hair falling out, and all body hair grows faster and thicker
