Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

I’m not on Facebook so I can’t join. I’m tempted to re activate but no one knows I’m pregnant yet. Is the page secret?

36and4th · 30/07/2022 08:46

@Saribon it's a private group :)

cey · 30/07/2022 08:57

Hey! Hoping I can join this group and the Fb one! I'm in week 4 and it'll be my first.

It's still early but feeling hopeful after an ectopic last year.

Sorry to hear the sad news above. Really hope next month is your month 💙

Saribon · 30/07/2022 09:16

Hi @cey I had an ectopic about four years ago! Nasty experience. Did you have surgery or medication to resolve it?

I’m glad your pregnant again and I hope everything goes well for you

Loz365 · 30/07/2022 09:20

@41andtryingforfirst thanks for setting up the FB group! I'm going to hold off joining until we've had our early scan and I've told my family. I'm becoming a bit paranoid hahaha 😂

limoncelloo · 30/07/2022 09:22

Morning all, hope everyone is okay today.
I'm not in Facebook either so can't join. Hopefully here will still be active :)

Saribon · 30/07/2022 09:25

im probably out. I’m bleeding now. Red blood. Not tons but enough to be concerned. Seemingly a chemical pregnancy ☹️

cey · 30/07/2022 09:26

@Saribon well our timing really wasn't that great because we were actually sailing and crossing the Atlantic when it happened! Was in such bad pain and heavy for a month but we were stuck and I thought it was an early MC. Maybe it was but when we got to land and I got signal I realised the symptoms were more like the Ectopic because it really was painful, could hardly walk at times and I think I usually have a good pain threshold! After that I realised it was all too much with the sailing journey we had ahead of us so we waited until we came back to England for a bit and here we are!

Sorry to hear you went through it, how far were you? Did you have to have surgery for yours?

cey · 30/07/2022 09:29

@Saribon sorrry to hear AF has turned up 😔 what a journey we have to go through. Really hope next month is your month ♥️🌸

3rdtimelucky2022 · 30/07/2022 09:31

Hello!

i haven’t posted since the first page but I’m still lurking and still pregnant :)

im really sorry to hear of all the early losses already. I’ve been there and it’s cruel. I hope you all get your rainbow babies soon.

Sorry I haven’t posted, I find it hard to keep up as work a lot and and have 2 young children who keep me busy! I think I would find Facebook easier to follow so I’ve requested to join but don’t think I’m in yet!

4+4 here…counting down the days til I can get an early scan (aiming 6w + so can see heartbeat hopefully!)

Hope everyone is having a chilled weekend!

xx

Saribon · 30/07/2022 09:38

@cey i don’t know how far along I was. I wasn’t trying to get pregnant and they are difficult to date cos the tests are negative for ages. I just knew it was ectopic cos of the pain and strange symptoms. I ruptured in two places and I never found out why. But I ended up needing surgery to remove the tube.

Gutted I’m bleeding now. I’m not good at resting but I’ve come to bed on the off chance it’s just a light bleed but I know in my head things aren’t looking great for me

Saribon · 30/07/2022 12:44

The FRER test came from Amazon and I took it. Not FMU but maybe a two hour hold. Bleeding is red but light . I think this is the start of the end 🥲

My cat has been laid on my stomach in bed all morning, intermittently purring and squishing my stomach with his paws, it’s made me sad a few times

Hi ladies can I join you?
Got my BFP yesterday, all being well my due date will be 12 April 🐣 I have a few medical issues which always mean early induction though, so may be more like the end of March. Fingers crossed for all of us!

limoncelloo · 30/07/2022 13:15

@Saribon I know you are bleeding but that's still pretty positive I wouldn't call that faint at all.
Can you book in for a blood test? X

Saribon · 30/07/2022 13:31

Reall?? I am so conflicted and think I just need to manage my own expectations

I have this photo I made that tracks some kind of evoluation of the tests but it’s far from scientific because I tested at different times etc. I feel like the tests are getting weaker. I hate this limbo. I’ll ring the pregnant unit and see if they will do it for me. I’ll let you know how I get on

its all such a mess because I had my period on 2/7 and should have ovulated on 13th but I tested positive on 15th! So then I thought maybe I had conceived the month before and had some kind of early bleed on 2nd but I had a private scan and nothing was there so I was back to thinking that bleed was in fact a period. I used ovulation strips but never saw a peak i don’t think so I presumed I ovulated mega early.

i don’t think this is ectopic cos I have none of the symptoms but maybe I should be getting checked out!

I hate this drama and scared to hope. What a mess

@limoncelloo thanks for your feedback on that photo

Don’t know what evoaultion means 😂😂😂

ovulation on the brain 🤯

Saribon · 30/07/2022 13:37

The antenatal day unit thing at my hospital is only open Monday - Friday. I don’t want to go through to a and e so I am going to see if things remain relatively settled then call them on Monday morning to see if they will do my bloods. If I get any ectopic symptoms or heavy bleeding I’ll go to a and e

@HoneyPea so sorry to hear this. @Saribon agree that is still a v positive test 🤞 the

cey · 30/07/2022 13:40

@Saribon yes try and relax this weekend and see what they say on Monday! Hoping this is an implantation bleed for you and sending you good wishes xx

tulipsunday · 30/07/2022 13:41

bleeding stops. Thinking of you. (Sorry pressed post too soon) xx

limoncelloo · 30/07/2022 13:58

@Saribon I see what you are saying, some of those tests do seem to be getting lighter although they are still very positive! We've got to remember it's not an exact science and our fluid intake, time if day etc can influence.

I'm not trying to give you false hope but bleeding in early pregnancy can be normal, the best thing to do is get straight on it Monday- the only way to know whats going on for sure is either 2 blood tests 48-72hrs apart or scan (might be too early to see).

If you've had an ectopic before epu should see you swiftly though I'd be tempted to over egg it a bit and say you're having some pain.

That is a positive test no doubt about it. Think of yourself as "pregnant until proven otherwise".

Take it easy, try not to torture yourself and have a plan of action for Monday so its not all what ifs xx

Saribon · 30/07/2022 14:04

This chat forum is the a life saver. Your all so lovely and it so helps to have people just reminding you to keep things in perspective!

I appreciate your kind words. I’ll just take it gentle and relax and see what comes. At least it’s the weekend and I haven’t picked up any overtime so I get to stay in bed if I want

Us women are so amazing !!! Supporting one another and it’s so sad that we have to go through this crap

I hope your all also taking care of yourselves

x

36and4th · 30/07/2022 14:22

@Saribon I'm so sorry you are having such a time of it, it's such a head wreck and an emotional rollercoaster 😢 I agree with what @limoncelloo said those lines on the FRER are very positive and bleeding at this stage is normal! Definitely go with pregnant until circumstances tell you otherwise. Obviously you need to preserve your own mental health and do what you feel is right for you. I'm sending lots of hope and baby dust your way and hopefully it is still a positive outcome.

Congratulations to @cey and @Wouldloveanother on your BFP'S 😊

41andtryingforfirst · 30/07/2022 14:28

@Saribon so sorry you're having to deal with this head f**k!!! I know how stressful it is. The tests are definitely positive and I've just come out of a week of bleeding and things are ok. Don't open that bottle of wine just yet (that's the first thing I did when I was discharged from hospital last time 😂).

I'm thinking of you xx
