36w today and officially reached permanently tired and grumpy. Some random tears in the last 24h so DH has at least realised he needs to step up without me having to tell him! Wonders will never cease!

The Lakes is on my list @Soph0105 - I've never been - but it's a 4 hr drive which is similar to Cornwall and the seaside always wins for me! Your pics of PTSD hiking are pretty dreamy though!

Exciting @Vil10, you're right in the drop zone now! 3/5 engaged is excellent news, DS was engaged early and then the little shit went back up again...just to warn you it can happen (although I am hoping your child is much less awkward than the one I own...!)

@Minster2012 I don't have useful H&S or first aider skills, I am quite happy to be resident tea and coffee maker though, just let me know what you all like and I'll promptly forget and make them all the same!

Remembered that the little sleeping bags were in the missing bag of teeny tiny stuff and DH went back up in the loft. Guess who found it via FaceTime?! He's claiming we were both right...whatever, I now have a load of newborn/up to 1 month stuff suitable for boy or girl AND the missing teeny teeny tiny sleeping bags!

Nursery is slowly getting rebuilt although need a chest of drawers to arrive (hopefully next week) before there's much point putting things away!

@Juno231 ah air con for massage sounds amazing! Definitely would have been unbearable otherwise.
@whatwonder I'm hoping I'll be able to sleep in the day when the baby does. Who knows. If I'm tired I can usually easily sleep at other times of the day but with the heat i was just so irritable I physically couldn't sleep. I hate heat usually- not sure it's really even linked to being pregnant. DH is worse than me with no sleep. 🤭 But it could well be that getting him to do anything at all night be impossible (see my update below).
@Vil10 omg that tiler would have annoyed me. I get things happen but yes you need to be honest! 🤦‍♀️ The longer they drag it out, the worse it is. Good news about the 3/5. Hopefully won't be long?
@larrythelizard I was like that with furniture- can't exactly do anything until you have it as you can't get in order! I hope you get drawers next week.

Disaster over here. 🤦‍♀️ DHs mum is in hospital after having a fall (since Monday last week). Massive long story but there's now complications from an op she had Monday this week, and she's now in intensive care (foreign country) and its not looking good at all. Clearly he's now preoccupied with that. I'm hoping the baby now doesn't come yet because the next couple of days are touch and go and clearly he's not going to have his mind here or be able to be happy about having an effing baby. 🙈 So he's been on and off the phone all day. Clearly dtd is not happening either. I'm trying to persuade him he needs to eat.
On the plus side its finally cooler (no rain though) and last night was bearable to sleep. I managed to sleep in bed and only woke a few times. It was amazing. I think my bump has dropped slightly too.......

@whatwonder heyyyyy you are alive, surviving & smashing it by the sounds of it with a lovely sticky hump 😆loving your suggestions for @paintfairy I feel left out without a safe word now 🤪. You'll be pleased to know I have had to rebook the spa anyway to a day when DH will then have both kids as I am then heading straight to oncology scans, as I DEF do loads with just Me & them two. 6 weeks! I dunno @Soph0105 if these nurses are anything like my registrar SIL if we shout "is there a nurse on board?!" Then it will go deathly quiet (my SIL didn't answer that on a plane, don't worry someone else did!), you still got very pissed on a school night the other day so I don't think you've sold your soul at that much yet

Busy day here, and knackered. But really enjoyed spending time with X yesterday & today, thankfully wasn't roasting for the country show & we had a great time. Got some B time tomorrow and going to baby class before running town errands. Will be interesting to meet some other mums at similar stage I guess. I think. We'll see. Ask me again tomorrow night 😂

@whatwonder good to hear from you 😊 DD is much better now thankyou. She gave me and DH the tail end of a viral infection Monday/Tuesday so us both having a 39 degree temperature in 39 degree heat was fun 🙄 Z is doing really well. Very refluxy so doctor has finally relented and prescribed omeprazole, I can't complain about his nighttime sleep he'll wake once to feed and is fussy from about 4am but could be worse so taking it whilst it lasts!
6 weeks wow that has flown! 😳 Hopefully coming out of the hardest part for you.I've heard a lot of people rave about probiotics for little babies so long may it continue for you 🤞🏼 great idea on the sleep plan for @paintfairy btw!

@Vil10 not knowing is the best IMO 😊 I never would with multiples or anything! I think I told the MW I wanted DH to tell me but then she accidentally waved his testicles in my face 🤣 I agree on the being let down it's just rude. I don't mind being let down but having the decency to tell someone - you'll gain a lot more respect and understanding! Glad you got it sorted in the end. I think the whole 3/5s thing is how much out of the babies head they can feel above your pelvis so once you're at 1/5 it's basically go time but obviously can happen very quickly regardless. Think 3/5th is very much engaged and ready 🎉Keep us updated on todays growth scan!

Fitness class this morning (if I can get back to sleep) then DDs graduation and a little play they're doing for parents 😆 I can't wait! DD is a farmer = outfit was easy! One of her friends is a wooden spoon and the other a whisk so thank god I didn't pull the short straw there 🎉

@larrythelizard you're allowed to be permanently grumpy and tired when growing a human! Men just don't realise do they!! I was starting to get frustrated with OH, just little things like he knows I'll be sat down on the floor sorting through clothes or whatever and he'll be downstairs with his work boots on and he'll shout up "please will you just go in the bedroom and throw me down xy and z" or "will you just grab me that and this" and he doesn't understand how hard and how much of a task getting up is off the floor now😂😂 I know it's so minor but he must've been saying things like this about 4 times a day, so I snapped the other day and told him how about he puts 2 stone on, I'll attach a melon to his belly, add in tiredness and back ache and then ask him to get up off the floor to pass me pointless things, I know it sounds ridiculous but it was getting so annoying😂 I think he realised as last night he told me how proud he is of me etc etc, I thought well yes Thankyou!! I didn't know they could go back up after being engaged ffs, I'm going to ask the sonographer today! Bonus on the clothes and sleeping bags!!

@bez91 im definitely glad we haven't found it, it's made it more exciting for us and people are so shocked when they ask and we tell them we don't know what the gender is! Hahaha the midwife at my appointment actually said to me to remind them when I go in because they might get carried away and tell me😂 exactly?? Because now if anyone asks us for recommendations the first thing we'd say is "don't use this guy". Omg that's so real and exciting, I'm going to ask today how low the head is and I'll keep you all updated! Sounds like you've got such a lovely day lined up, makes me laugh what some children are in plays, like a whisk and wooden spoon??😂😂

Growth scan today at 12 so will keep you all updated with how that goes, tiler did most of the work yesterday so should be finished early today which will give us chance to paint hopefully! Even though I'd love to not wait too long for baby to arrive, if they could just wait until end of next week until all the big jobs have been done in the house that would be great!! Put the pram up yesterday at my mums, not sure if anyone else is superstitious like me but I haven't had the pram in my house, just at my mums in the boxes but then it dawned on me that the first time we use it we won't have a bloody clue how to set it up etc, so i went and did that and got all emotional because I love it, practised putting the car seat on it as well so I think I sort of know what I'm doing with it🙄

Is there a thing they miss out in pre natal books when the due date creeps up so does the lack of sleep? 🥱 I’m waking up every 1 1/2 hour for no particular reason at all 🙃

@larrythelizard thank you for the tips my dear I’ve gone out and purchased some pepper mint tea ready to be prepped! So glad the hot weather has buggered off for a short while with the looks of things so we’ve got time just to breathe in abit more cooler air 🥵
@juno231 I have hunny! I’m just going down all the natural ways to turn bubs including moxibustion rather than medical interventions and taking what will be will be! Your bump is beautiful on IG 😍 how’s things with the house front for you guys? Are you all set?

@dkdk123 I may live off curries for the week run up to make sure I’m all emptied out before the c section 💩 I’ve also got a stash of lactulose and senna tablets in the cupboard just incase of emergency 🤣🤣🙈 thank you for the pointers sweetheart I’ve got some high waisted lounge wear set and a floaty long t shirt dress as options to wear home so both should be good for being less restrictive! I hope your DD checks went well?
@minster2012 is the Olivia programs worth the watch? I’m actually boycotting love island now from this year haven’t watched last two, stuff what’s been reported in news about them all is just getting abit silly, I shall try again with it next season! Have you heard there’s going to be a love island for middle aged people with body shapes of all different kinds? That may be more enjoyable! I’m looking forward to the late night feed chats on here joining the club, saying that I’ve enjoyed all of the company throughout each part of the journey 🥺 I’m just a softie

I stood and cried in nursery yesterday just feeling overwhelmed that we’re finally going to be parents soon. 3 of my friends have started their infertility journey with the NHS system and it’s making me reflect on mine and DHs to get to this moment, im having a catch up with one of them next week day after her first appointment to see if I can help her with what’s going to happen likely for next steps.. counting my blessings everyday 🙃 I’d count sheep to sleep but it’s far and few between now 🤣🤣 have a nice weekend ladies ❤️ nothing planned at my side other than seeing one of the girls for brunch and DH is working all weekend :)

🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 for your scan today @Vil10 - I'm also in this afternoon to see where my placenta is now. Given that it hadn't moved at 32w I don't expect any different today! That's cute about the pram. I distinctly remember DH building it for DS and we were like 'oh shit there's going to be a baby to go in there'! The old wives tales are funny, didn't keep the pram in the house for DS but it obviously has been in the house ever since and for all this pregnancy!

I feel you @kaylsd - I last slept through the night on 1st July (weirdly specific I know but we were away so I remember it!), I wake at 1,3 and 5 every night although missed 3 last night! Just all getting a bit big and uncomfortable now, humph.

@vil10 totally with you on the tiler! Our structural engineer ghosted us for two months last winter - turns out his dad had died but OH gave him such a bollocking for not letting us know and why on earth no one else in his office had had the decency to pick up the phone when we called. Good luck on the growth scan today, so exciting that your baby is engaged!

@kaylsd ah the build... OH is there to inspect for the second time this week and it sounds like they've made a right mess of all the finishing touches on the roof so there's loads to redo/fix :( Gives me such anxiety! Luckily he takes the brunt of it as he knows it stresses me out. My sleep isn't great either if that helps! I keep waking up to turn over or because my hands go numb, or because I need a wee... or to chug gaviscon straight out of the bottle!

So we went to baby club this morning, I went open mind (ish) @larrythelizard & there were I think 3 lovely mums (including a twin mum with a 3 year old who's husband works on oil rigs so goes away for 2 week stints 😳) then one overly keen young one, one HUGELY loud over the top one and a couple of quieter ones. I just mainly stayed quiet but the leader asked me a few questions. All the babies seemed super content to just lie on the mats & look around happily which B does NOT do, she likes to sit on you or be held or go to sleep 😝however I think it's blown her mind as she wouldn't drink there & then afterwards she has barely slept. If being social means it breaks the good sleeping bubble then I'm out 😝she's been proper arsey since then today

We've booked our holiday 🙌🏻and I've bought a 6/12 sunsafe suit for it. 6/12???? Wtf???

@kaylsd I think your body deliberately makes you sleep less and less as pregnancy goes on to slowly prepare you for the sleepless nights once baby arrives so that it's not too much of a shock to the system (even tho it still is!). I hope your friend doesn't take too long to have a successful pregnancy, it's good she has you to talk to. I stop and think back to the journey I had to get DD some times and it definitely makes me appreciate her all the more (and realise how bloody strong I and everyone on this bus is!)

Placenta has moved, worried now they won't want to give me an ELCS which I think is a bit irrational really.

Got blood results too, the midwives said they were OK but not completely normal and got to go back on Thurs for a repeat before consultant appt on Monday. I have of course googled the whole lot which has worried me quite a bit...silly me for googling! Looks like if the UK use the same diagnostic range as the US then I am very much borderline for ICP @feliznavidad2.

Baby currently estimated to be 6lb 7oz so a similar size to their big brother! Did watch the screen when sonographer was trying to measure femur length and no very obvious willy but I never saw one last time and DS obv has a willy so don't think that's conclusive!

@Minster2012 wooo on booking a holiday!! When do you go?? We've been looking at booking somewhere just for us 3 for feb/March time, we already have Turkey booked for august for a friends wedding (I actually remember stressing about this when we were TTC) so will need to add the baby onto that booking too!

Scan was all good yesterday, baby weighing around 6lb11 so on track for a 7lb5/6 which they estimated if I go to my due date, which is a lovely size, and the growth is just consistent now so won't need anymore scans, just have my next midwife app booked for 40+2, hopefully won't need to attend that one though🤞🏼 however we got seen straight away for the scan, app was at 12, was back in the waiting room after it for 12:20, then didn't see the doctor until 2:10!!! We were fuming!
Also the midwife mentioned the group b strep swab to me, said I should've been told about it around 36 weeks so almost 3 weeks late, said I don't have to have it as they only do 1 swab and the result could even change by the time I'm in labour, if it's positive now for example it could be negative by the time I go into labour, and vice versa, however if it's positive I won't be able to have a water birth at the birth centre as I'll need a drip with antibiotics during labour to make sure it doesn't pass onto baby as it can make them really ill! Decided it wasn't worth the risk in case I do have it and baby ending up I'll so going to do the swab Monday morning and drop it off at the gp, hopefully it's negative🤞🏼

My sympathies to the no sleep crew, I genuinely felt better after having had the baby despite the C section 😂🙈

No news here, just had a very nice few days with H still off work. Wholesome activities counterbalanced by a £60 spend on wine in Aldi 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
