@DKDK123 i am now only taking the iron every other day and i still dont love it.
😆I think it sounds like DS is doing well really and its great he can express himself. You obviously have good experience with things like that too with your job? I'm not sure everyone would handle it as well as they could. But its only natural for him to feel that way really as you just do seem to constantly do baby things and theres little you can do about that! Other than making sure he is getting attention when you can. He will get used to it but it has to be a huge change for him, having a sister. Bless him. Hope you had a good birthday - sorry i missed it.
@BellatrixK yeah banning presents on someone elses behalf is kind of bizarre. Especially when you give one yourself?! Your car issue sounds scary. I would have sh*t myself. Not so bad on a normal road but not something you want happening on a motorway!? I hope it doesnt happen again if they cant find anything. Glad the scan was ok! Flipping centiles. Which one was big?

@larrythelizard pleased everything is looking ok scan wise. Heartburn sounds horrid. I only get slight reflux and its awful so i dread to think what its like. You and your 1000 names! Time away sounds good though! Sorry i missed your birthday! I hope it was ok. And i think induction should have been booked as that is what i was told. Position wise they seem to be happy with head down and the rest doesnt matter. Lets hope they are correct.

@Somatronic i was really bloated in the early days. I think because of the IVF? I was very uncomfortable up until 12 weeks at least. Maybe a bit more. Winning the euromillions will help you feel better though. 😬Where are the pains? Groin ish area is PGP. If its more pant line area but to the side then thats round ligament. I used to get stitch like pains when walking too?

@bez91 i know i will hate baby classes too! Means to an end i guess, just get what you need from it. Birds piss me off every morning! Just no need. £5?! Well, better than nothing but hardly going to buy very much these days. 🙄Maybe the heart issue will settle down when life resumes normal (ish)? @Franklydear i'm not sure how English funerals compare to others as i've never attended any. I guess its something you never really think about being different!? But i'm glad it went well ish, or as well as these things are able to. Sorry about the BFN.
@Vil10 Dont think you did say about your car but what an arse. Its ok other people paying but its still a massive inconvenience, especially at a time like this. 😡Stretch marks are a bit miserable. I still have none. But if it makes you feel better i've got loads on my hips, thighs, arms, boobs from when i was a teenager as we have crap skin too. How i dont have them now i've no idea, i think only because i'm not big.

@Juno231 Agree on the clary sage having read. She said it might cause period type pains and encourage the baby to drop. And if i get those anyway to sniff it too, to help it more. But having read, i'm not sure i want to be doing that. Was your friend induced before due date? or after?

Sounds like everyone's post natal checks are useless? And mine never showed up monday and neither have i heard anything? Midwife yesterday said to call them but why should i?
I'm also still stressed about the lack of induction date until the last second when that wasnt meant to be the plan. So i have called the hospital and told them its not booked and what the consultant said. She said she will leave a message for her and then get back to me when she hears back. Maybe they wont bother but at least i tried...........
Last night was another night of pain from hell and i woke at gone 1am with the same thing i had the other time. I'm not sure much of it is trapped wind this time so maybe it was BH contractions? I thought they didnt hurt but whatever this was did. I was pacing about for almost 3 hours and contemplated getting in the bath at 2.40am ish. DH was in bed though and i wondered if i might get stuck. But had it carried on much longer, it was my last resort. FFS.
So i'm tired and everything seems to be pissing me off this week. 😂

Quick one, I have a solution to doing 3 things at once; exercising, soothing the baby and catching up on Love Island. Headphones and one of these little buggy organisers required 😂

@Somatronic did you phone your midwife? Hope the pain has subsided now.

@Franklydear sorry AF came but also glad that she came and didn't tease you with another long drawn out cycle.

@bez91 how did DD get on with her settling in session? I think I may be an emotional mess once DS walks through the doors into school I'm August I can't believe how quickly it's came around. Although it also helps on hard days with DD as I feel I appreciate the days with her more this time round knowing just how quickly they grow up.

As much as I'm missing DS while he's at his Grans (have been facetiming him, he's having a great time and not missing me but he is missing his sister 😂), it's been lovely just to spend lots of 1:1 time with DD. This parenting malarkey is 100% easier with just one to deal with, I had a crap sleep last night with her being up but I don't feel half as tired as I do when looking after both....not that I'd ever swap it, I'm so blessed to have two and can't wait to continue watching them both grow up together, but I definitely won't turn down a wee break of only having one to deal with every now and then.

@paintfairy sorry just saw your post. They do say BH don't hurt but mine definitely did, however they didn't go on as long as yours, I'd give the midwife a call just to reassure you

@DKDK123 and others, thanks for your comments. The pain lifted again so I didn't call them. I've been so busy I didn't have a chance to be honest. Work is bananas.

@bez91 I often do that!! If you add in a few leg lunges behind the pram then you look like one of the keen mums doing fitness whilst "mumming"

Glad pain has eased @Somatronic, I had various pains at various points and all were worrying but all harmless I think

@paintfairy I didn't really get BH so I can't help I'm afraid but 3 hours of pain isn't good. I did get pain though but mine was the sciatic pain & a bath was the only thing that eased it

Awwwwww @DKDK123 @bez91 you guys getting all Emosh about nursery to school is really sweet! I'm honestly heart of stone I think, I haven't done any "first day" pics except one, and I didn't drop DS off at his first nursery day DH did as it's his commute. He already goes to his new school one morning a week in their nursery since Jan & im so pleased I did that, he loves it & says he wants to go every day already 😂, plus we are thinking of going on holiday for the first week of school 😆😬 #badparent (just got notification of brontes passport!)

I want an annoying work rant. We need more staff, I sort out recruitment. I talked to agencies about drivers on Monday prior to swimming etc, do an advert yesterday, get responses & reply last night, invite to interview with DH today & tomorrow. I've just looked at responses to invites to tell DH slots (he's got to take X for his 2nd chicken pox vaccine today) & out of 3 invites I sent ALL have been declined.
All of them. Like it's a tick box exercise to say "I've applied for X amount of jobs this week"
It's soooo frustrating

@DKDK123 DD loved her settling in session at school and can't wait to start, need to sort uniform now. Forgot school started in August up there, not too long! Absolutely, one on one parenting is a walk in the park in comparison. I said to DH I feel like my life is a constant time trial with 2 😆 all for the break though, I'm hoping my dad will have DD overnight one night this weekend as again she's waking more times than Z through the night 😴

@Minster2012 glad sick is a little less 😫 is it a bug or just Bronte's reflux? I feel a lot of mums wear the fitness gear without doing any fitness but it's comfy and most days I'm included in that club. That's really annoying on the work front, what a waste of time but I think it's the same everywhere, DH had a couple of ex Debenhams makeup girls apply for driving jobs where he is, no CPC or obviously experience 😆 so I wonder if they really did want that much of a career change (road sweeping) or a box ticking exercise 😂

Oh @Minster2012 that's shitty, I think recruitment is horrible everywhere. We really struggled to find someone to cover my mat leave last year, then struggled to find a new member of staff. And I read on the news that there are only 41 MFL trainee teachers starting in September for the entire country?! WTAF?!

To be fair @bez91 there's a lot more need for drivers with CPCs than make up counter ppl so perhaps they'd be wise to do the driver card! And here I am wearing my maternity running tights currently neither pregnant nor running 😬😝just fat & comfy. I've got no idea if it's a bug or just the reflux, it sticks of acid so could just be the reflux but there's a lot of covid round here currently

@bez91 @DKDK123 I'm glad you've said that! Why does all the info say it doesn't hurt?! I mean its not the worst thing I've ever felt but it's by no means painless. You worry less if you know what to expect.
@Minster2012 annoying about the jobs. But everywhere you go seems short staffed and I don't get it? Do people not want to work any more? We used to have the opposite problem!

Consultant called me this morning. She's going to book my induction for my due date (but will call me within the hour if she can't get that date). She said i can choose to defer if I get to that day and just go in for checks/a sweep if I decide i want to wait a couple more days. But she really doesn't want me getting to 41 weeks with nothing happening......

@Somatronic politics here are a joke, we must be the laughing stock of the world (again). I'm watching breakfast TV fo watch it all unfold this morning - I never watch it usually! Pleased pain has gone, I've struggled with round ligament pain for a lot of this pregnancy - weirdly I now find a workout in the gym easier than a walk!

I'm a bit behind you but am crampy which hurts a bit and sometimes babies movements make me hurt @paintfairy but agree if it's really sore it's worth a call to the MW. Induction on DD is good, if you can have a sweep before to try and get your cervix to be 'favourable' then that has to be good? Unless baby girl has other plans and comes sooner that is! I went 12 days over with DS and found it really hard waiting and analysing every sign so would agree with your consultant that you don't want to get to 41w either!

Out for dinner with a friend last night, lots of water fairly late on so 4 wees in the night and then at 5.30 I decided to be really worried that baby hadn't been as active as normal yesterday. (S)he has been going mental this morning, feeling like they're rushing from one side of my womb to the other in the hope they'll pop the door open so that was some pointless worrying!

Have started on the mega to-do list but now stalled until DH moves his office set up. 5 weeks to go and weather looks lovely next week so should rather be in the garden than cleaning...have told him I want it done this week!

@Soph0105 he's going today. I'm a little bit sad that it'll be over. But I absolutely loathe him so obviously other than missing the drama of his antics this week I'm happy he's gone.

Our government lost its majority yesterday so that's fun too. They should hobble along for another while until the suspended MPs get the whip back.

@Minster2012 @bez91 There's a lot to be said for comfy clothes. I'm finding it so hard to dress myself at the moment. I only have 2 pairs of jeans that fit me. At least after next week I can work from home until September so I'll be back in the comfy leggings. Can't wait!

Still here ladies,

F has had an infected belly button and had real issues getting antibiotics in to her. Thankfully it's improving now, only got to keep going with the three times a day dosing until Monday. She hates them! 😬

Also had a wobble about milk supply overnight, she just wouldn't settle so I gave her a bit of formula but she didn't settle still after that so figure it isn't hunger... I'll just keep BF in that case!

@larrythelizard Glad baby is moving again for you now, only 5 weeks to go! That's come around quickly (for us!) 🎉

Hey there lovely lot! Back from the caravan with the inlaws and it was interesting to say the least, odd one or two clashes but I guess that's all part of the parcel! Got the worlds biggest ironing pile to tackle after doing 3 loads of washing and todays a busy day as we are finally getting our carpets fitted, our nursery furniture is being delivered, bt internets been installed and I've just had my 34 week check in with MW!

Baby is still breech very much head up into my ribs despite walking over 50 miles, a part of me feels abit meh but apart of me thinks it is what it is and I can only try my best in doing what I can for the bubs to turn and I don't want to feel The guilt that my best isn't good enough when I can't help the situation.. I've got a inkling it's going to be a c section got rescan on 20th to see what's going off inside and make a birth plan from there!

Sorry if I've missed much the internets been terrible which I guess has been a nice break as I've managed to read 3 books one of them being Emma buntons mama you've got this which was a lovely read :) going to aim to pack hospital bags next week and start the baby washing once house is sorted! hope everyone's okay!

So sorry I've not read, I'm feeling rather sorry for myself. T minus no minutes til DH brings X back from chicken pox vaccine too so that'll be fun.

If DH doesn't come home with a fan he's going under the patio - can you tell I'm hot and bothered 😂

@larrythelizard I think we all have times where the baby feels quiet. Its had not to worry but there's also time I don't pay attention if busy and then it's hard to even remember!
@Somatronic I've wfh throughout which means I can wear anything. Downside is I haven't bought much and so if I need to leave the house I struggle. 🤣 Today that happened because its suddenly boiling and I was in jeans doing the horses.
@feliznavidad2 getting antibiotics in doesn't sound great! Poor F. And I think terrified might be the word. 🤣
@kaylsd spinning babies website has some exercises for breech babies? Worth a go? Mine is still like of sideways mind but because head is down they don't seem concerned. Bum down is less favorable though. 🙈
@Minster2012 I think I might breastfeed for 5 years if it keeps AF away! 🤣 Its certainly nice not having it. Which is funny when you spend so long wanting reasonable cycles when ttc. What a time for B to be unhappy though! Maybe she can sense it? I hate my hands restricted (any of me actually) so I'm with her there!

We dtd this morning (I've told dh we have to, in a hope it encourages things) and I've had more pains today. 🤣 I'm hoping it's a good sign but probably not. Nothing will happen. Was going to have a nice hot bath later and try colostrum harvesting too. But its 1000 degrees. 🥵

@bez91 that pram set up is excellent! Where is the organiser from? Definitely heating up here too… I swear I used to love summer? I’ve got a fan out also.

@Somatronic glad that your pain has eased. Definitely mention it at your next appointment if it returns. I definitely had, and have, pains some days, but things seem fine so far 🤞 sometimes it’s when I’ve overdone it a bit. Despite the fact that it’s obviously embarrassing and shameful, I’ve really enjoyed watching Boris go today (and his drama) my family we’re taking bets on how long he’d try and ride it out for!

@DKDK123 that is really beautiful. Made me tear up a bit! I’m getting excited for him to arrive now!

I’ve had the GTT this morning- eurgh it was horrible! I was not a fan of that! However, I’m nicer news, I told my classes that I’m pregnant today, which was lovely- they were so excited for me! Also, I actually have maternity cover from September - I have new teacher who will be shadowing me at first then I can slowly hand over my classes. So that should make my first half term much nicer. I’m very impressed- wasn’t expecting that!

Oh nooooooo @Minster2012 that's so crap 🙄 in period related news I have ordered my first period pants and I am interested to try them...
