Ladies, middle of the night victory dance here💃 DD just did her first full breast feed without any top up needed and is now snoozing away peacfully after her efforts 🥳🥳🥳 It's only taken her 7 weeks to finally do it 🙈 Hopefully this is her finally going to play ball and I can stop the pumping after feeds gain a few extra hours back in my life 😁

We had a good night too 🥰it won't be tonight I'm sure as she has her vaccinations today & at a really shit time as well, at 4pm so right at bedtime the calpol will be wearing off, we @feliznavidad2 you are a pharmacist right, can they have a nurofen dose this young too to get her through the night or not at nearly 9 weeks?

You're being optimistic on the bedtime on jags day @Minster2012 or maybe DS just reacted really badly to his but I remember it was a horrendous night of him screaming all night and burning up even with the calpol. DDs jags are on Tuesday and I'm already prepping myself for a caffeine fueled netflix (with subtitles to follow over the screams) night 😂 And already booked DS for a stay at my mums house so I've only one to child to deal with.......can you tell the night after DSs first jags scarred me 😂

@Minster2012 midwife said calpol after 8 weeks and ibuprofen not until 12 weeks. Must be to do with their liver function? Def look out for febrile seizures though as apparently they're quite common after the 8 week jabs (and any meningitis jab top ups).

Noted @Juno231 will watch out for that! I thought you couldn't do nurofen but I should be able to do those 2 calpols and hopefully a she'll be like her brother 🤞🏻she seems pretty much like his temperament so far (though she loves to snuggle & he didn't!)

You're giving me hope then @Minster2012, I thought it was bad for all babies, maybe DD won't be as bad maybe it was because DS was more premature that it hit him harder. I have seriously been dreading DDs next week but now you've given me a glimmer of hope that it won't be as rough a ride 🤞

Good luck with jabs! But if it's any consolation @Minster2012 that's the one thing PTSD hasn't been an awkward shit for. They made him really drowsy so early bed and all was well! 🤞🏻 B is the same... but definitely dose her up to the eyeballs too 😂

Agree with @Soph0105 - DS' jabs (partic the ones with meningitis in) just made him really drowsy and cuddly, worried me at the time but in retrospect was all good @Minster2012!

Yeah, same @Soph0105 didn't want to say it @DKDK123 but for Xander it made him drowsy too @larrythelizard 😂so I'm hoping it continues our run of good sleep for B, there is hope @DKDK123 don't worry.

I'm loving the idea of a drowsy baby compared to last time 😂 I'm not joking when I say I've been proper dreading it, haven't even booked just the night for DS to go to my mums, she's taking him a few nights as I remember it took him a few days to bounce back from it so I've been absolutely dreading DDs but hearing more positive stories of the jag I have a lot less fear and now really hoping his was just a one off and she'll be fine.....if she's drowsy bonus 😂 Are the horrendous shitty nappies for days after it common with all or was that just him too?

Sorry been awol, tough time here with the crotch gremlins so either being consoling them, at the doctors, pharmacy or hospital oh and tried an osteopath 😆. DD finally got over her weird illness of which the parting shot was an ear infection which is now being sorted and with Z over terrible silent reflux and his colic as well as my appointments for ECG and check up of down there after surgery which is all good 👍🏼

@Minster2012 ahh you have the gaviscon too, us too. Every feed is traumatic and painful for Z 😩 but also it sometimes seems to settle his stomach so never goes long between feeds. Specifically asked GP not to prescribe Gaviscon as DD had it and it made her so so constipated, not constipated yet but it’s not helping the reflux much

@larrythelizard glad scan all ok, I suppose it still makes sense for them to know where the placenta is like you put it for the ‘slice’ could do without catching that.
Sounds good on the interview front that the door it open! We must know more on the catfish stuff 😆

Started a baby class today, I actually hate baby classes 😆 this one is a postnatal fitness one, still very clique but I’m there to loose some weight not make friends 😂 the women who ran it was a stand in woman, she was from Estonia and crackers. She brought her own baby with her whose about 10 months and had her latched on feeding during the exercises inc catcow for the cool down which was quite impressive I must say

Few things to say.......
@larrythelizard I can barely remember my own bloody name right now so how you are remembering several, I've no idea. 🤣
A note on the bicarb. Do not hoover this up with a bagless vacuum cleaner, unless you fancy buying a new one. It'll kill the motor as the particles are too fine to be caught by filters. I only learned this with that rug incident i had. Google is your friend.
And the vaccinations worry me too. Mainly because they give them such a massive hit in one go and its a lot for them to process. Particularly when babies are born smaller too. If they can cause issues like that @Juno231 then it can't be good! Problem is- you won't know until its too late. They give more at once now than when I was a kid. I don't even give my horses combined wormers for the same reason. I spend more money and just do things separately! (I did have an issue once, which scared me, and so since I have always just took the more cautious approach). Not really an option with the vaccines though......
