Hi all! Had a BFP yesterday at 11dpo after a squinter at 9dpo so thought I'd start this thread for everyone just getting bfps around now and due later in Feb/ early March!

I'm hopeful but a bit nervous after two chemicals this year. Hoping this bean sticks! Feeling positive about it so far... This will be our second baby, have a 21mo DD already 🥰

All welcome!

Food is no longer extinguishing my nausea 🥹🥹

Same 😟properly in nausea times now. Based on last pregnancy, I'll be out by... October?!

Pink15 · 30/06/2022 17:54

@Boadiccea I'd be up for a Facebook group, I'm still in contact with my sons group x

Nikkixx · 30/06/2022 18:01

I hope we get a ease on the nausea I love food so sad being too nauseous to eat it

Nora11 · 30/06/2022 18:38

I like the idea of a Facebook group, I always really struggle to keep up with threads on here for some reason!

TeddyBeans · 30/06/2022 18:52

I'm still on the FB group for my DS. It's a brilliant group and super supportive still. I don't mind making one if people want to join? It would be private so noone one your friends lists would be able to see it

Nikkixx · 30/06/2022 18:53

I'm up for a fb group

TeddyBeans · 30/06/2022 19:44

Here you go! Feel free to join whenever you feel comfortable. I know lots of people didn't join until after their 12 week scan last time around

TeddyBeans · 30/06/2022 19:54

It's also hidden so noone can find it without the link

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help I want to know how a 28 and a 32 day cycle can affect the stages in pregnancy.

I have a 32 day cycle and believe I am 6+1 days. I had an early scan yesterday and a yolk sac and gestational sac was present. The nurse said it's very normal as my cycle length is slightly longer. They will rescan me again next week.

Thanks

Twosidestwoplayers · 30/06/2022 20:09

@Beautyangel1 it all depends when you ovulate really. I have a 28 day cycle but ovulate on day 19 as opposed to 14 (the standard) so I’m 5 days behind compared to counting from first day of last period. Did you track ovulation?

Twosidestwoplayers · 30/06/2022 20:10

@TeddyBeans link not working for me…

Beautyangel1 · 30/06/2022 20:13

@Twosidestwoplayers I have a 32 day cycle and ovulate on day 18.

Twosidestwoplayers · 30/06/2022 20:18

@Beautyangel1 in that case, instead of counting day one as first day of your last cycle, count CD5 as day one of the pregnancy. Is that what you’d done, or does that put you at 5+something?

Beautyangel1 · 30/06/2022 20:22

@Twosidestwoplayers yes that put me at 5 weeks + 4.

I just don't understand why they don't tell you this when you go for an early scan and just date all pregnancies assuming everyone has a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 14.

Twosidestwoplayers · 30/06/2022 20:25

@Beautyangel1 yes it’s annoying isn’t it! Suppose they will make a bit more money off it from people needing to come back 🙃 hopefully puts your mind at ease about the scan results though

TeddyBeans · 30/06/2022 20:43

@Twosidestwoplayers I've taken hidden off, maybe I need to hide it after people have joined

Ally256 · 30/06/2022 20:59

@TeddyBeans thanks for setting up, have just requested to join!

onewishfulthinker · 30/06/2022 22:24

Hi all!

I'm really up for a Facebook group too - I find these threads so hard to keep up with! I start writing a message and I've instantly forgotten what I wanted to reply to 🤦‍♀️

I've had a horrible (not covid) cough this week - doctor said a viral thing so just need to wait it out. It's a bit better now but I'm still really hoarse.

Nausea is on and off but I think being distracted is good so the cough and my toddler and being in the middle of a house extension is helping take my mind off it!

Hope those with strong symptoms are holding up ok! I wore those sea band things first time round which might help those of us with bad nausea.

TeddyBeans · 30/06/2022 22:24

Right, think I've sorted the fb group to stay hidden but still be visible to people who want to join via the link. The link expires in 2 days so I'll keep popping up new links in case people want to join. Previous links won't work - current link is

fb.me/g/p_YBZmfCsQBCxoiHGa/ruJAp3Yl

(I hope. Let me know if it doesn't work)

onewishfulthinker · 30/06/2022 22:35

Thanks so much @TeddyBeans - I've requested to join too!

Californialove · 01/07/2022 08:25

Hi ladies, im 14dpo today and got my first positive 9dpo - think im due 11th March is it ok to join the facebook group? It’d be lovely to have some support! Also congratulations to all of you x

Hagster · 01/07/2022 09:34

Thanks @TeddyBeans for sorting that.

Urgh properly feeling nausea today. I'd forgotten how rough it is!! I am of course extremely grateful as it hopefully suggests things are going ok as I am someone whose symptoms dropped when things did go wrong, so symptoms are reassuring to me, rightly or wrongly! However, urgh. Nausea is rough. Why can't pregnancy give you symptoms of extreme elation or a sense of bodily comfort or extra energy?!

And my partner's sympathy is definitely of the "oh, yes, there there, insert sympathetic words here, is that what you wanted to hear" variety. Wish men got this too, then medicine would've sorted something out a long time ago!!

Anyway, pity party over, normal service will resume soon.

pamplemousse19 · 01/07/2022 13:00

I’d love to join the Facebook group too - thanks for setting it up @TeddyBeans ! But the link doesn’t seem to be working for me unfortunately (might just be me…?)

havanamama · 01/07/2022 14:02

Hi! I’m joining here with first pregnancy - got the BFP with first try!
based on last period, I’m exactly 4 weeks today.
Yesterday I got 1-2 weeks Pregnant on Clear Blue Digital and have seen the red line get darker on my cheap test.

I’ve bought enough to test every morning until I get a die stealer and will do a Clear Blue digital in a week, when I should be 2-3 and then another one a week later to see 3+

im very excited and hopeful but so worried and anxious. Booked a private 8 week scan on 27/07

I’ve got strong symptoms so far - cramping, lower back pain, burping, night sweats, had that stuffy nose last few days, lower appetite, frequent peeing, sleepiness
maybe part of it is in my head 😄

this is such an emotional rollercoaster!

I have called my GP, and will be booked in next week for an early emergency midwife appointment as I don’t have a thyroid, so they want to make sure my medication dose is monitored and potentially increased.

Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. I just needed to take a step back because I was driving myself crazy spending every waking minute thinking about this pregnancy and I didn’t want to get too hopeful because it’s still so early. I’m 6 weeks today and the fatigue has hit me so much this week. I just had an hour nap - one of the perks of working from home! No other symptoms so far apart from feeling a bit icky and my nipples are getting very plump 😂

I did my self referral to the hospital and they’ve given me my booking appointment next Thursday. I’ll be 6w6d so not sure if that’s too early for the blood tests they’ll do?

I’ve booked a private scan for 7w4d and I’ve also booked in to have a Harmony NIPT and nuchal translucency scan at the FMC in London at 12w4d. I know it’s really early to be thinking about genetic testing but the FMC we’re so easy to book - didn’t have to pay a deposit and they’ll cancel free of charge if anything goes wrong before then. Anyone else booking a NIPT test?
