Hi all! Had a BFP yesterday at 11dpo after a squinter at 9dpo so thought I'd start this thread for everyone just getting bfps around now and due later in Feb/ early March!

I'm hopeful but a bit nervous after two chemicals this year. Hoping this bean sticks! Feeling positive about it so far... This will be our second baby, have a 21mo DD already 🥰

All welcome!

@Quackers1990 and @ChloeN we have the same due date, 3/3, at least according to my rough calculations. This cycle I must have ovulated too early, because I started the Clearblue ovulation kit on day 19 as usual but it never showed ovulation. 10 days later I had my positive pregnancy test. I'm so excited!
I also have a 4 year old daughter and have had 4 miscarriages after her...
So I hope this bean sticks! I am getting my progesterone and beta-HcG levels measured tomorrow.
Hope it all goes well for all of us in the chat!

Clarps84 · 26/06/2022 20:33

Hi everyone, congratulations to everyone on their bfp’s 😊
I’m cautiously optimistic after getting my bfp. I’m 4+1, so 15dpo today, due 4th March according to online calculators.

Background is we’ve been ttc for 2 years and because of my age (I’m 38) we decided to get fertility treatment privately rather than wait with the NHS.

Currently pregnant on my 2nd round of IVF, frozen embryo transfer. My first round of ivf ended with an ectopic pregnancy in March at 7+3, which is why I’m pretty cautious this time around. Although my progression lines are better than last time, I’m still not sure they are dark enough. Hope I’m just being paranoid 🤞

Due Late Feb / Early March 2023 💖💙💐🌈
Lilipa · 26/06/2022 20:40

@Clarps84 your lines look fantastic! It'll all go well this time, I'm crossing my fingers for you! We have almost the same due date. Mine is 3/3 for the moment.
I'm really worried because sometimes in the day I feel pregnant but other times I feel absolutely fine. I'm getting a first scan on the 11th of July.
Are you getting more scans/blood tests since you're on private IVF?

Thetractorjustmoved · 26/06/2022 20:46

How's everyone doing, any symptoms yet? I'm 5 weeks + 1 and just starting to feel the first waves of nausea... Here we go again!

Clarps84 · 26/06/2022 21:15

@Lilipa thank you, I’m just so worried. I think I’ll get two early scans, one with my ivf clinic and one with the nhs because of the ectopic pregnancy. I’m lucky I’ll get two scans 😊
I know exactly what you mean about symptoms, I’m not really feeling pregnant apart from tiredness. Sometimes wish I was nauseous 😂

ChloeN · 26/06/2022 21:20

@Lilipa ah so glad I have someone similar to me! I’m thinking about booking an early scan but not sure how long to wait!

Lilipa · 27/06/2022 05:07

@ChloeN my suggestion would be to have the early scan at 7-8 weeks, if you can wait. Only have it earlier (6 weeks) if you have a history of miscarriages or ectopic pregnancy. I'm getting it at 6 weeks because NHS suggests this in my case. I hope they offer one at 8 weeks because usually after 8 weeks it's rare to have a miscarriage so you'd want to see the baby is good and growing at that point.
Hope this helps 😊

ChloeN · 27/06/2022 06:43

@Lilipa thanks lovely, I think I might for around 8/9 weeks! I’m going on 2 holidays between now and then so hopefully the time will fly by🤣 have you told anyone other than your partner yet? We were going to tell our parents straight away but now it’s happened it all feels a bit soon!

Lilipa · 27/06/2022 07:40

@ChloeN waiting till week 8/9 for your scan is even better! It's great you'll have lots till then as well, so yes, you'll get definitely distracted.

I didn't tell anyone besides my one closest friend, because of our history (4 miscarriages the past 3years). I just want to be more certain this time so we can celebrate with family and friends. With my last miscarriage I told everyone but I found no worth in telling them because everyone was as anxious as myself, if not more. So, I prefer this time to announce after week 8 when it'll be more "safe". All our miscarriages happened around week 7 and therefore the week 8 to me is a "safe" one.

Has anyone else experienced miscarriages and therefore finds it harder to share their pregnancy straight away?

pamplemousse19 · 27/06/2022 09:47

Hi everyone! Newbie here.... Hope it's OK to join this thread :) Congrats to everyone on their BFPs, so lovely to see! 😍

I got my first positive pregnancy test yesterday at 12dpo. Have been ttc baby #1 since Jan this year with nothing so far, until yesterday! Was still very surprised to see the positive test result though as I really felt like AF was on the way!

I am 35 and this will be my first. Apparently I am 4 weeks and 4 days apparently, according to my app. Due date calculator says March 3, 2023. I know this is very early and nothing is guaranteed, but my emotions are all over the place! I am happy and terrified and excited all at once!

I don't seem to have any symptoms yet apart from feeling a bit tired, but I'm sure that will change (especially as I am very prone to nausea in general!)

Does anyone know what I am supposed to do next? Ring the GP? I feel very new to this haha 😅I am going away tomorrow for a work conference so hopefully that will keep me busy for a few days and let things sink in. Haven't told anyone in real life (apart from husband of course!)

Nora11 · 27/06/2022 10:00

It seems like there are lots of us due on or around 3/3!

Sorry I can't remember who posted it but just wanted to say thank you to whoever linked to the miscarriage reassured site earlier in the thread! It's really helping me to remind myself the odds are in my favour every now and then...

I'm struggling not to constantly worry, but I am further along than when I had my chemical which is nice. I am hoping my lines will get as dark as the control line or start dye stealing soon! They are very clear but haven't got as dark as the control yet... Is that okay at about 4 days past missed period/18-20dpo? On the plus side they definitely are moving in the right direction!

Boadiccea · 27/06/2022 11:05

Wow this thread has been growing! So nice to see lots of us here.

I was away last week and so pre-occupied that I couldn't figure out what was pregnancy symptoms and what was general exhaustion lol

I am having such different symptoms to my previous pregnancies. I'm not enjoying my coffee which is so unlike me and drank it through my previous ones! I'm super bloated already and my jeans are uncomfortable to sit in!! And I AM SO TIRED! I have been falling asleep at 8pm with my little ones and can stay asleep till early morning!! This is not sustainable though as not much time to get things done without them around!! 😂

How are you all feeling? Are you symptoms different to previous pregnancies?

Lilipa · 27/06/2022 14:54

@pamplemousse19 congratulations! I'm also due on the 3rd of March and it looks like many of us are. Yes, you're supposed to ring your GP who will then tell you if they'll refer you to a hospital or if you need to directly call the hospital to inform them about your positive test.

@Nora11 are you also due on 3/3? 😊 Your lines are progressing perfectly! This is definitely not a chemical. Fingers crossed all goes well!

@Boadiccea I struggle so much with the symptoms reading. And this is because I might have some (eg. insomnia, vivid dreams, nausea) at some point in the day/night and then I am absolutely fine and I feel nothing. So it is a very worrying feeling to have symptoms on and off... especially for me that I've had 4 miscarriages in a row. I'm trying to remind myself that every pregnancy is different even for the same person and only time will tell if things will progress...we can not control the outcome so why worry about what can and can not happen? This is what I tell myself when I panic to calm myself but it doesn't always work. 😁

Bella9992 · 27/06/2022 15:07

Hey, welcome to all the new comers, congratulations!
I've not been on for a while as been really unwell this week with a cold (assumed covid but tests negative). Coughing fits plus nausea has meant I've been throwing up a lot!
I'm 6 weeks today I think, used my last test today and it's the strongest dye stealer I've ever had so keeping my fingers crossed. My tests with my DD were strong like they've been this time, whereas my MC tests were always quite weak so trying to stay positive, but finding it hard not to get anxious
Booking an early scan and I'll be 8+3 so 🤞, counting down the days!
How's everyone feeling?

Hi all, new to the group and in need of a bit of reassurance. Very surprising bfp on Father’s Day as we had been told we couldn’t have any more children..! I am high risk for an ectopic so have a scan/bloods tomorrow and am getting super nervous 😬 Not sure exactly when we’re due as I wasn’t tracking my cycle particularly closely for obvious reasons! Probably due late Feb/early march though from what I can work out…

Hope15022023 · 27/06/2022 15:58

Hi, girls.

I'm joining the post hoping I am still one of you.

I should be early 7th week pregnant. On ultrasound on Friday, only sac was visible, no embryo, with sac measuring early 6 weeks.
I had also HCG checked and it was 10766 on Friday and 12620 yesterday, 45 hours later... so far from doubling. I repeated the HCG, with the lady at the clinic asking "are you pregnant"... I hope I still am, of course if baby will be ok and healthy.

I'm also stressed because I drank loads around weeks 3/4 while on holiday, before knowing I was pregnant.

It has been a real roller-coaster of emotions since the positive test. I wish for things to turn out however is for the best, but I'm really struggling with anxiety and guit. And the waiting is...

Sorry for the mopey message btw. 🙈

Wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies and babies.

Don't feel guilty! On my first pregnancy we weren't trying so I didn't even know about the TWW. I got my BFP on Jan 4th after missed AF..after numerous Christmas parties and New Year's! And he's perfectly fine. Placenta isnt even formed then so don't worry!

Lilipa · 27/06/2022 17:03

@Hope15022023 drinking at such early stage when you don't even know you're pregnant does not affect the embryo. I'm hoping everything will go well with your pregnancy but if it won't, 100% it has nothing to do with you drinking. Fingers crossed you see your baby in the next scan! Have you booked a date yet?

Eastybaby19 · 27/06/2022 17:06

Hi everyone hope you don't mind me joining. Im still super shocked after getting 3 positives today. I don't know when I ovulated my period was weird last month due to being in hospital having surgery for kidney stones!! I came off the pill a few months ago for health reasons but were using protection. We literally dtd once without protection. I have a beautiful son who is 3 in July and we were planning on ttc no 2 but different things kept coming up events etc and kept pushing it back. Felt kinda off this morning having dizzy spells the last few days and feeling a bit sick this morning and I had a oh crap moment I wonder if I'm pregnant & yup it's happening 🙈. I think I'm due early march 👶🏻

Due Late Feb / Early March 2023 💖💙💐🌈
Hope15022023 · 27/06/2022 17:20

Thank you both. I agreed with my doctor to go Thursday or Friday for another ultrasound. The HCG came out also for today, at 13729... So it's less than 30% in almost 3 days. :(

Lilipa · 27/06/2022 18:09

@Hope15022023 I'm really hoping your scan in the end of this week will show a baby and a heartbeat!

My beta-HcG came back now and it's 680 IU/L which I guess is aligned to week 4, which I'm at. I'll repeat in 3 days hoping they will have doubled. My progesterone came back 95 nmol/L which my doctor said is good.

I started having some period cramps earlier after I had a sour fruit and they're still quite intense so this worried me but I'm trying to not overthink and take it one day at a time.

Hope15022023 · 27/06/2022 18:21

@Lilipa as far as I read, period cramps are normal. So I wouldn't worry.

Thank you as well for the good wishes, but just had a chat with my doctor and based on everything we know, the pregnancy doesn't appear to be progressing. I think I just neet tocome to terms with it.

Wish you best of luck with your pregnancy.

Lilipa · 27/06/2022 23:34

@Hope15022023 I am very sorry to read your message. Did the doctor give you options of what to do next? I don't know how ready you will be, but keep in mind that if you try within the next two months after you had fallen pregnant it's much easier to have another pregnancy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that next time will be your lucky time. I'm sorry about your loss 😔

Hagster · 28/06/2022 09:16

Ah @Hope15022023 I'm so sorry to hear that. I have also experienced pregnancy loss and it is so cruel. I'll be thinking of you. x

Skylark1990 · 28/06/2022 09:55

Welcome to all the newbies! Tests looking good 🙂 @SJ1994 those tests are so dark, dye stealers already 😍
