Starting a new thread due to last one being full. Such a valuable place to share our journey! Not going to tag anyone in case they don't want to be tagged.

Marching towards or in the beginning of the second trimester!

Congratulations @AG96 so exciting to find out!

My other boy name at the time we had Noah was Hunter so we might still roll with that
My girl name is Scarlett but I also love Courtney

AG96 · 21/06/2022 19:43

@CP22 will be interesting to see if the nubologists are correct!

@DogsAndGin what a cute name 😁❤️

@JC84 I do like Hunter. Have liked that one for ages. Scarlett is also adorable 😍

Lovely names everyone. I love hearing what people have decided.

We have a little boy called Roman.

We don't know the sex and won't find out this time but last time we only had Roman or Reuben and they're too similar. For a girl we had Ruby.

We don't have any options this time. Fashions haven't really changed since having my son. Going to be so difficult so throw any ideas out there please

BuchananBaby · 21/06/2022 19:48

@AG96 congratulations what a gorgeous wee boy and beautiful name 🥰❤️

@DogsAndGin we're having a wee boy and he'll be called Alexander 🥰 if I was having a wee girl it would have been Amberlie

ElephantGrey101 · 21/06/2022 19:57

@SweetMelody19 we have the same due date.

@AG96 you have chosen a lovely name for your wee boy. I don’t have a single name for a boy or a girl.

I don’t understand this nubology thing. I have no idea if anyone’s baby is a boy or a girl. It just reminds me of when I was pregnant with DS and my friend pointed to the umbilical cord on the scan picture and said is that how you know it’s a boy. 🤣

KateE02 · 21/06/2022 20:00

Hi, new here i'm Kate! 😊

Congratulations all. I just wanted to share my 13+2 nhs scan photos with you all, hope that's okay. I'm due 13th Dec 2022.

I would LOVE to hear anyone's gender predictions please. Let me know if you are using the nub theory. I will be finding out in 10 days eeek!

@KateE02 using the nub theory I'd say that's a boy x

DogsAndGin · 21/06/2022 20:49

@JC84 all lovely - I do love Scarlett though.

@BuchananBaby very nice! Alexander was on our list too!

@baby2in2022 Ruby is a very pretty name! Love it

AG96 · 21/06/2022 20:51

@baby2in2022 my really good friend has a boy called Roman, I absolutely love the name. I think that's because he's such a nice boy!

@BuchananBaby thank you and Alexander is a great name 😁

@ElephantGrey101 thank you ☺️

Hey @ElephantGrey101 how are you feeling? I was hoping the nausea would pass by now but I'm still getting it daily. Also have a very sore lower back already! But other than that ok. I'm just so relieved to have had my scan on Monday! Are you going to find out what you are having?

chardaboo · 21/06/2022 21:42

@tasha4eva10 yeay we are due date twins

chardaboo · 21/06/2022 21:52

@AG96 yeay congrats on the boy and your name is good

@JC84 I've liked Hunter for about 16 years or something but my partner doesn't like it so we are going with something else if it's a boy. I think Max

going to find out the sex on the 9th July - can't wait.

the nubologists said 80% chance it's a girl so we will see. I have more names to choose from for a girl so will be harder haha

hopefulsunshine11 · 21/06/2022 23:29

Ladies, who is still DTD? We haven't done it for about 5/6 weeks as I've not really been feeling it tbh and also worried! I know it can be perfectly safe but I have a high bmi and I'm high risk, although mainly for high blood pressure and pre eclampsia so on aspirin.

Anyway, we DTD, it was fine but I just feel like I'm not enjoying it as we're not as adventurous and I'm scared of bleeding etc! Partner seems understanding but just wanted to know others thoughts? I'm 17 weeks.

AG96 · 22/06/2022 00:42

@hopefulsunshine11 we have only DTD 3 times since we found out and I'm 16 weeks. I'm also high risk due to high BMI. I think it's okay as long as you haven't been told not to DTD.

I do worry about it as well but also hasn't been a problem the other times we've done it and nothing has changed since then

OP posts:
JC84 · 22/06/2022 05:48

We are still very much DTD, probably more than when I was on the pill!
If you are high risk but haven't been told not to then you should be fine, if you are worried check with midwife or gp as that's what they're there for
I'm under consultancy for previous pre-eclampsia too which went unnoticed by a lot of professionals - even tho I could barely walk for months my feet were do swollen, I also now know the rib pain I had was that, I just assumed he was awkward and had his feet up there and was never corrected at midwife or hospital!

JC84 · 22/06/2022 05:51

@chardaboo hunter was actually my other half's suggestion.
It's so hard choosing names I think!! Especially when you can relate most to someone you knew in school, or child's school, someone at work, family, friends or a pet, I don't want to copy anyone so we're very limited!
I'm hoping for a girl to make it easier for me haha

I went into the hospital yesterday for some fluids as I just couldn’t stop being sick. Hopefully I will be a bit better after that. I have kept my anti sickness tablets down so far today. Have you had any help for nausea?

I have just got a text message to say I have a consultant appointment on Monday so hopefully I will have my scan at the same time. I don’t know if I am going to find out or not.

lovesT · 22/06/2022 08:05

@hophopefulsunshine11 we are still DTD, probably more that we were before (apart from TTC) not loads but I was worried about it but we did around 12 weeks but we're just careful and nothing has felt wrong or concerning so we are happy to keep going lol. I'll be 17 weeks on Friday and no problems. Bit of background though, my husband had a medical thing that meant his sex drive was really low about a year + ago and now it's got better which is typical when I've been in early pregnancy 😂 but that's why it has been more than before as his sex drive finally matches mine lol 🫢

Also, all these lovely names!! We have none at all 😂. For our daughter she was easy as she was named after someone special to us, for this one we have no names 😬😅.

Mommabear20 · 22/06/2022 08:54

We've DTD once since I found out I'm pregnant! Things still aren't great between us at the moment so I'm just not in the mood, as for me other things are far more meaningful than sex and as he hasn't shown me any positive attention lately, I'm reluctant to be physical.

We've started discussing names but it's very half arsed on his part, makes occasional suggestions, but won't commit to any.

Tulip1112 · 22/06/2022 08:57

No DTD for me- at least not penetration! I find it really uncomfortable for some reason, the progesterone has made me really sore in that whole area (sorry tmi!!)!! I would love to be able to do hoping the 2nd trimester eases up a bit - only 10 days left on progesterone too 💪

We also have no names!!! I really like talking about it with DH but we struggle to settle on one's we both like. Luckily we have loads of time left to decide 🥰 we won't find out the gender and my friends are all due before me, so think we will need 2-3 on both lists! Just in case!!

chardaboo · 22/06/2022 09:16

@JC84 Yes i know exactly what you mean , I could like a name and my partner would be like "oh I know someone I don't like with that name"

and then as you say other people having getting there first etc. it's a lot harder than i thought it would be 😂

chardaboo · 22/06/2022 09:19

@Tulip1112 I have a few times but I haven't been feeling it and like you it has been feeling sore in that area - that lightening crotch thing can be annoying.

I am hoping it gets better in next trimester haha

Sunshine92 · 22/06/2022 09:26

We haven’t DTD once since finding out I’m pregnant 😅 where do you all find the energy?!

We have a very active 14 month old and I am EXHAUSTED! I’m sure I had way more energy when I was pregnant with my DS.

hoping the energy comes back to me soon!

LolaJ87 · 22/06/2022 09:50

We're still DTD, maybe once or twice a week? Things do seem a bit... puffier down there but it's not causing any issues! 😂There was a couple of weeks around where I'd had a bleed where we didn't but the happy hormones from sex are really good for you during pregnancy apparently and I've found I'm feeling less anxious about things now. I'm also high BMI but I don't think that matters unless you've been put on pelvic rest?

We are all different though and nobody should be doing anything they're uncomfortable with.

We had shortlisted names and are now down to our final 2 but I'm not ready to share them until we've decided! Some which were on the shortlist but which we've decided against were Lucas, Rhys and Pierce. We've a bit of a mouthful of a surname so want to go classic, short and simple for a first name 😂

hopefulsunshine11 · 22/06/2022 10:19

Yeah I definitely don't have the energy to do it 3/4 times a week lol. I just feel like I'm worried we're going to go down that route not being physical and it effects us, I don't think it would but it's in my head lol. The only thing I've had is like a shooting pain every now and again going across my pubic bone after we have DTD, hoping it eases off! I'm reluctant to do it again anytime soon. Hoping it's nothing to worry about.

We've got down to two names! Partners surname is short so wanted a longer first name. We've got a name we've picked since we started discussing TTC, and another one we thought of recently.
