Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

My digestive issues are so bad right now. I get hunger pangs but my stomach feels so full like I've had Christmas dinner. I eat small but still can't eat for hours and hours after. It's pretty uncomfortable!

I also have started getting sore around my hips and upper legs, I TOTALLY forgot about this symptom! When I take off clothes and press my hips/upper legs it just hurts. I had it with my miscarriage and with my DS.
5 weeks today and already nearly a week since I found out. I still don't think I believe it yet 😅

@BanjoVio aww goodluck! Hope they let you have it before hand! What dates your scan at the moment? .. aww you’ll have to let me know how your booking in appointment goes, mimed a few days later and it’s all new to me!

@Girl2020 im okay! Lots of cramping and sickness/ stomach pain though! I went out today but had to head home as I was feeling poorly!

@RBSK1 ah sounds good! I think 8 weeks is a good time to go? To get a good view!

@Peonies94 I've got my booking appointment on the 20th, I'll be 8 weeks. I don't I think I'll get a scan date until after this, so nervous but trying to not book a private scan 😬

We are supposed to be moving in a month or so (still no moving date) and I’m getting stressed about my appointments! I’ve applied to the hospital near where we are moving to saying in the notes that we are moving, so I hope that’ll be ok. I’m a bit screwed if the sale all falls through 😬

I think I’m going to boom an early scan. Exciting time ahead everyone.

got my BFP yesterday morning! According to online calculators I'm due 8th Feb (I did kind of want a March baby though ha!)

the hardest thing now is not telling anyone - so many poeple I want to tell! So far just BF and my best friend who is also pregnant

Any one else worried about their career? I'm kind of at a point where I am taking off and have some good momemtim and due a promotion by the end of the year. I have a lot of clients that I enjoy working with and wonder if I will get to deal with them again when I came back from maternity. My aim now if just to work as hard as I can to get a promotion and payrise to maximise what I will get on maternity leave

We’ve been trying for a year and most of my family and friends know that, so I am dying to tell people too but going to wait till 12 weeks scan to tell most I think. Close family know but thats about it. These 7 weeks will be slow!

I wanted to reply re the promotion. I did the same before I had my first, got a promotion and it kicked in a week before I went on mat leave but when I got the SMP, it was calculated on the previous wage. Here’s the reason why, in case it would apply to you too: ‘SMP is calculated by averaging your earnings over a period of at least 8 weeks up to and including the last pay day before the end of the qualifying week.’

Saying that, fingers crossed for your promotion, what a high to go on mat leave with! And will be great to come back to a higher role 🤞

sorry TMI but I’ve been having really bad stomach cramps and suddenly really needing to go to the toilet? I’ve not been able to be too far away from the toilet! Happens around 3 times a day, sometimes more and other times less! It just starts off as slight cramps, becomes really intense and then the urge to go to the toilet! Anyone else?

I am so worried about what my role will be when I come back - there is a lady on my team with two kids and feels this a lot, I love my job but it can't be done part time - 4 days a week would work but no less. I am lucky to work for a massive company so there are other roles I could fill without being demoted... that said I am nowhere near thinking about what back to work will look like for me! Low key dreading telling my manager too as someone else is currently pregnant in the team so I feel guilty! I am very lucky that my company offers a really good maternity package and they do explicitly state that any payrises gained after starting mat leave will be honoured in the mat pay (they also say that going on mat leave won't affect career progression, promotions or bonuses but we will see....)

That said, there is no 'perfect' time to have children so whether it's now, 1 year later or even more, no doubt I would feel the same!

@Peonies94 yes I think we will wait til then too - tempted to pay for an early scan to have a picture to go with the close family announcement. I don't know how far I am techniaclly along - because of long cycles I am getting 4-6 weeks on online calculators but I think I only ovulated 2.5 weeks ago. I'm going to phone GP on Monday to get set up with midwives etc.

I have a call from the midwife on Monday to book my appointment- I’ll be 6 weeks then so hopefully they will get me in reasonably quickly so the scan date can also come through.
can’t believe I am 6 weeks already, it’s seems to be going quicker now.

@Cherrymarket it seems to be going soo slowly for me!! I’m not feeling great so I don’t think that’s helping pass time! Between tiredness and cramping and not feeling well, times just going soo slow! Just want the next 7 weeks to go quickly and get me to my 12 weeks!!🤦🏻‍♀️

I feel like my boobs have been punched repeatedly all day and my back has been in some sort of vice. So sore! It was how I knew I was pregnant, getting sore boobs was never a premenstrual thing for me. It is so uncomfortable right now.

Hello! Excited to be joining in after getting my first positive on Wednesday. Tested several times since and got a digital test just to be sure so finally starting to believe it now! We’ve been trying over a year so delighted although it’s still early days. My due date looks to be February 14th.

How quickly are you getting your first midwife appointments?

I've been so full of cold since Friday last week. Boobs have now started to get sore and have weird fluttering/ pains down there. I'm also unbelievably tired, glad it's a 4 day weekend because I've napped three times today already!
